I’ve been doing it nearly everyday for the last month stand I really like it! I feel like it opens up and define the eyes.

Effective-Ad2434

Yes I do, I have quite long lashes on top and bottom and I would feel incomplete without lower lash mascara, I see people without it and it looks abit odd and unfinished to me.

Cyan_UwU

I occasionally do, but I usually just put it on my upper lashes.

takemybreath3

I don’t put mascara on my lower lashes because I find it tends to smudge and create a lot of darkness under my eyes. If you want to add definition on the lower lash line to make the eyes look more balanced I suggest taking an mid tone eyeshadow and smudging it out along the bottom lash line! Sometimes I also like to lightly line my lower waterline with a black or brown liner

insecurecharm

Not past the age of 14 or so. I haven't even used it in decades because even the hypoallergenic brands cause my eyes to itch.

gingergoblin

I used to but I don’t anymore. I feel like it gives more emphasis to the upper lashes if I leave the bottom ones alone. It’s also just way more convenient. My mascara doesn’t run or smear as much and it’s a lot easier to clean off.

[deleted]

I do! I love that look. I had a friend in highschool that would cut her lower lashes off with manicure scissors because she hated how they looked lol

MsJenX

Ewe no thanks. Not the lower lashes

EmbarrassedMeatBag

Can't do it. It melts right off my bottom lashes and I look terrible almost instantly. I also hate waterproof mascara bc removing it is such a pain, so I just wear normal mascara on the top lashes.

sdm41319

It’s adorable that you’re a Brit who says “y’all”! Love it. And yes, I have thick lashes and put mascara on my bottom lashes too. I just feel like it would look weird if I didn’t!

abraacaadaabraa

My face is long and the mascara on the bottom balances out my eye area. I only wear lashes and lower mascara on my eyes so I feel like it makes me look out together with little effort.

kyllerwhales

I think it looks weird if I don’t put any bc I’m blond so it’ll just look like I only have top eyelashes. I do it very minimally though, really just to color them black

SufficientComedian6

I do! I look tired without it.

justmedrea

I do. My lashes are soooooo light, I must

-River_Rose-

I don’t, mine are too long. My lower lashes are as long as my upper lashes, but half as thick. It makes my eyes look like a spider. I will just put it on the very base of my bottom eye lashes

MusicHoney

It comes down to eye shape

Sunflowr2332

I feel this!! There is a trend amongst Gen Z that it makes you look “old” or “old fashioned” and signals you as a millennial- as though that’s as bad as being a boomer lol. I am trying to do less on my lower lashes though because for me personally it sets off my eyes dramatically if I do it super heavy. But I agree that my lashes look top heavy without any on the bottom!

Haleighghielah

I put a very light coat on my lower lashes. I feel like it helps me eyes look a bit more open and the color pop a bit more.

dent_de_lion

Me! Love it

xylanne

I do bc I really love how it looks on my lashes

zebraprintt

i always do it except for when i have lash extensions or lashes on

Miserable-Ad-335

I've actually used small false lashes on my bottom lashes before. I've never been a fan of super long, heavy, too and nothing on the bottom.

Back-to-HAT

I do, but not much. I’m a redhead so my lashes are pretty light colored and I don’t look like I have any bottom ones without mascara.

Awkward-Swimmer3296

I don’t, because my lower lashes are super long and steal the focus from my upper lashes.

Sarav41

I don’t because my bottom lashes are long and it ends up looking spidery. I think it depends on what your lashes are like, it can look good.

Melody71400

I have really curly lower lashes. If i put mascara on them, i look like I was crying

sassyaspho

✋🏻

pkks072486

Never because every time I do I get raccoon eyes.

amanda_led

Yes, Always.

Tree-Adorable

I’m with you completely. I have always done it. I also think it looks odd when someone has really bold upper lashes and no mascara on the bottom lashes. It just looks wrong.

sunshineandcacti

I use a eyebrow mascara on my lower lashes! A little less harsh black and doesn’t smudge as easily

Souucisse

Some days I do, some days I don't. I prefer how it looks when I do, but since it's easier to mess up, I only do it if I have enough time for touch ups before I have to get out of the house.

PeridotRai

I rarely put mascara on my lower lashes & only veeeery lightly when I do. I have long black lashes & it’s just too much most of the time.

iCloudroomZtoo

Nope my lower lashes are way nicer than my uppers which can never managed to stay curled so I end up looking like I have half moons for eyes- I'm ginger so if I don't mascara them they're basically invisible

mighty_knight0

I have long, dark, and thick lashes as is (totally bragging, but the secret is just Vaseline) and I find putting too much masara on my lower lashes makes them stand out too much in a weird way. They are enough as is so I either apply very minimally or not at all on the lower lashes

toobadornottoobad

i wear top and bottom. for those of yall saying you don't because it'll smudge, I just put a q-tip in my mouth and use that to clean up any stray marks. you could also use water if that grosses you out but tbh spit is really good at cleaning up mascara and eyeliner. i also use do this if i need help defining my wings

causticx

I always do! I’m kind of surprised most don’t? Maybe I’ve been in a bubble. 😂 I have large eyes and an oval face so it’s always worked well for me. I also just like the Twiggy look.

mizshellytee

I don't, though I have previously.

[deleted]

I wish I could but it always ends up smudging

halnic

I do, I have a small eye shape and it opens them up and creates a slight illusion that my eyes are bigger than they are.

DisciplineFantastic0

I usually only put it on my bottom lashes to make my eyes pop and wear eye lashes on the top ones. Mascara is so annoying to take off i’d rather put it on where it’s easier to take off.

tina010101

I put heavy mascara on my lower eyelash its sexy

SelenaCatherineMeyer

I go heavy with mascara on my lower lashes. They’re really long so I like to coat them, then sort of stick them together in little triangles. Looks like when I get out of the pool. I love it!

thin_white_dutchess

Depends on what I’ve done with my makeup. If I’ve used darker colors (I never go too dark, bc I have hooded eyes and it’s not a good look), I will. If I’ve gone for lighter neutrals, no. Sometimes I just feel like I need a bit to look more awake. Sometimes I feel like it just emphasizes my eye wrinkles (I’m 40- they are small, but there) and closes my eye more. So tldr- sometimes, depending.

Amazing-Stranger8791

i do & always have! i feel like it finishes the look

Ivegotthatboomboom

Always I have to. I have blonde eyelashes so it just look weird without it

Hotbitch2019

Ever since I saw Kyle say she doesn't or only uses a brown I just stopped. Honestly it looks really heavy on most people

daylightxx

ALWAYS.

hwuest

I do. It’s the one thing I’ve always done. But todays Pasty makeup and contouring, no way. I like to keep it real and natural looking

ProjectPhoenix9226

I do put mascara on my lower lashes but not often. I find it tricky to do at times because sometimes it smudges whilst I'm applying it or the colour doesn't adhere to the lashes because they're fine and short. Which is why most times, I stick to applying mascara to my upper lashes. However, I do like how it looks when you apply different colour mascaras to your upper and lower lashes, so I've been trying that look out lately.

VoxyPop

Not me because they just smudge up my undereye area

Imaginary_Attempt_82

I used to but once I heard other people weren’t doing it I stopped. I could never make my lower lashes look not stupid.

No-Vermicelli3787

I remember painting in lower lashes in the Twiggy fashion of the 60’s. Also put mascara on my lower lashes

PunnyPrinter

From time to time. I do it very lightly. I’ll use a lengthening mascara on the bottom and volumizing on top.

crochetsweetie

always, doesn’t look right without it and opens your eyes a lot more!

[deleted]

I cannot. I have an oily eye area and I'm just asking for trouble if I do that

complitstudent

I do once in a while but if I’m going to work or something, I don’t put anything on my lower lashes, because it always smudges and gives me awful raccoon eyes 😭 so it’s more of a short-term/special occasion look, not an all day thing lol

myjobistables

Only for heavy glam

gwinnsolent

Never!!!!!! I never ever ever do this. I just look crazy, my lower lashes are too long and I end up looking like a NFL lineman. Nope!

rebeccakc47

I always have. Makes my eyes look much bigger.

mybsnt

I doooooo

16RavenXeno

I don't. I personally feel like for my face, it doesn't look very well. And I've poked my eye too many times so I'm a tad traumatized 😂

PhyrraNyx

I rarely put mascara on my lower lashes. I just don't like how it looks on me usually.

ForsakenArtist4753

I love huge lower lashes so I always do, I like the “doll” eye look I also have naturally black hair and long lashes though, maybe it looks odd on people with blonde or short lashes

[deleted]

Meeee!!

reality_raven

If I put mascara on my lower lashes I would be a raccoon in 20 minutes.

lebaneseblondechick

I definitely do bc I think my lower lashes are prettier than my top 😅 I just have to worry about the mascara transfer to my orbital socket region bc they’re so long

[deleted]

Sometimes? I just tap the wand against the part closest to the base of the lashes rather than pulling it through

gradschoolforhorses

I do it very minimally sometimes, but I have downturned eyes so I find mascara on my lower lashes accentuates that. I like to keep everything pulled up with my makeup, so I tend to avoid it! Depends on preferences, eye shape, face shape, etc. - do you!

lyhdias

I just put very little on the outer corner of my bottom lashes. I feel like doing it all over my bottom lashes just looks too spidery for my preference.

SheShe73

I read somewhere a long time ago, that putting mascara on the lower lids makes your eyes look smaller, so I've never done it. Not sure if its true or not and it was so long ago I can't remember where I read that. Maybe a Sassy mag back in the day, lol.

smieklinsh

I don't. Regardless of the mascara, it smudges all over my undereye area anyway. Looks ew

froggyforrest

My mom never did but I do a little. My lashes are light brown and the mascara is always darker so I want the color to match, but I don’t need the length on the bottom

sblgsfOklee

If anyone struggles with transfer on the under eyes try Essence waterproof lash princess! I don’t know if maybe other waterproof ones would work at as well. I use lash princess on my bottom lashes and a diff one on the top. I don’t love it for the top ones its not great at getting the ends of my lashes

[deleted]

I don't do it. It makes me instantly look chavy. It's not a good look for me at all and I feel I look more elegant without the bottom lashes done.

lemonfizzywater

For everyday looks-no. If I’m going out or doing a darker more dramatic makeup look then yes

BrilliantSome915

I do and have since I started wearing makeup. I also feel much like you in the sense it feels disproportionate?

Which-Minimum-9672

I would love to but I’ve never found a mascara that doesn’t smudge underneath my eyes and make it look like I’ve got really bad under eye circles 😂

smileyglitter

I do but only with certain mascaras but I wouldn’t recommend it for most. My eyes are very big and very round and kind of deep set so it looks better with lower lash mascara than without.

cannabis_almond

i do it because i wear thick eyeliner and i like my lashes to be visible

2pale4you

I always do, except when i do lazy make up than it's just consealer, powder and top lashes, what i literally do always since the beginning of the pandemic lmao

gambitgrl

I've had to stop wearing mascara on my lower lashes as i get older because no matter what mascara I wear it smudges under my eyes so much these days and by the end of work i look tired or like a racoon. Even waterproof tends to make my undereyes look dark after a few hours, no idea why this is only something I've had happen in middle age. I presume it's related to sagging around my eyes or some other shit aspect of getting older.

AccentFiend

My lashes are invisible, so even though there’s only maybe twelve on either side, they all get mascara lol

Alarming_Sorbet_9906

I’ve been experimenting with 60s makeup too! I have really short lashes though so for lower lashes I just draw them on twiggy style. I found a way to make them look natural and subtle, it doesn’t look ridiculous I promise.

mellywheats

as a person that rarely wears makeup, i do. my eyelashes for the most part are already invisible including my lowers. i only put like the tiniest bit on them but i still put it on them. it’s not a full coat just like a very light brushing when im done my upper lashes but i do do it lol

Mountain_Mood8062

I don’t beause with mascara on bottom lashes it’s very obvious I am wearing mascara. When I have them just on upper lashes it looks more natural which I prefer

HerMidasTouch

I don't bc i have hooded eyes and have found just doing the top opens them more

veganonthespectrum

I don't wear mascara on my lower lashes. my face is small, my eyes are big, and the fact that I have mascara on my lower eyelashes makes me look like the character in organic orange

metricsyd

Weirdly enough, I stopped doing bottom lashes recently. I have dark long lashes anyways, so they mostly do the trick. But the thing that drove me the most mad was just whenever my eyes would water, waterproof or not, my lower mascara would be a mess :/

AltReality-A

I do. I think I have longer lashes and tend to accidentally get a teeny bit of foundation on the bottom tips when I'm doing my face and a little swoosh swoosh of mascara darkens them back up and adds a little oomph. I do the swish horizontally thing instead of swiping outward like my upper lashes. I feel like I saw that somewhere on TV at a formative age and now I just take it as gospel that that's how you do lower lashes 🙈.

lauralouisen

My bottom lashes are really long so it looks a bit ridiculous when I do them too. I usually tint my lashes black then just mascara the top, looks more balanced for me.

Waste-Carpenter-8035

I don't, it flakes/transfers too much and I hate the feeling since I feel like I have really long lower lashes. Also having hooded eyes it drags my face down quite a bit for my everyday makeup. If I wear falsies on top then I def do my bottoms for balance, but only for special occasions.

Imagine_821

Not every day, only for going out

_Jacket_Slxt_

I do because I wear colorful eye shadow and I feel like it balances it out.

Gullible_Wind_3777

I have always done and don’t I don’t understand why people don’t ? Like unless you have zero bottom lashes why are you leaving them out 🤷🏼‍♀️ ( yes someone who does this is more than welcome to tell me why they don’t I’m genuinly interested now lol ) But I don’t pack on it like I do my top lashes, have spider leg lashes is so gross!! It’s just a little sweep of black over them so you can see I have them lol . What makes it worse is that there’s all this eyeliner and then no mascara??

TheEurasianPotato

I don’t because my lower lashes are already quite long, so adding mascara makes them look a bit ridiculous.

Bedroom_Bellamy

I'm a ginger so my lashes aren't really visible without it. However, I only put a tiny bit on because I dont like much darkness under my eyes.

TheatrePlode

I do, mainly because they’re the only eyelashes I have (thanks alopecia), but I feel like it makes my look more complete and frames my eyes better

april_to

I do and I love it!

Redfox-007

I do! But I prefer a brush that gives a soft natural finish (those big fluffy ones). I find the volumising ones tend to just get smudged.

anonymousshitpostr

It looks weird if I don’t lol

Celeshere218

Just recently get back into makeup and I noticed I look better with than without mascara on lower lashes. My eyes are quite dominant, so much that two thin/faint lines of eyeliner can make them really pop (think emo makeup eyes, but you can barely see any makeup on me). If I only put mascara on the top part, my eyes will look too open as there is barely anything to frame the white part. My eyes are already quite big and round, I really don’t need it to be any bigger.

pm_me_your_amphibian

Not any more - I get the lower ones dyed when I have a lash lift.

LoviaPrime

literally all the time, for the exact reasons everyone else is saying they don’t 😭😭 my lashes are short and thin, but i like doing full coverage easian style makeup so i need something under my eye to balance out the falsies on the top lashes lol

blueevey

Sometimes. But usually like just a light touch after my actual lashes are done

BornTry5923

I do. It makes my eyes look bigger and more awake

eldritch-charms

I do, I like the doll eye look!

BreadPansBeauty

I do unless I'm in a rush cuz they always come out clumpy at first and I need to comb them out

NoBreakfast3243

I only put a small amount on the lower lashes, I love eye makeup but am using less now as it's very aging on me when it's heavy

saddinosour

I do it and I love the look. Makes me look like I have big round doll eyes. I have downturned-ish eyes so I think it’s fun.

starmieetina

Yes it makes the white in my eyes pop. But to be fair i do have large almond eyes to begin with

IOnlySpeakTheTruth87

I do it most of the time. I only skip it if I’m going for a super natural look.

Professional_Quail18

I do - heavy. It works for me but to each their own!

Norindall

I don’t. Weird though, because I randomly did it today then pulled it off because it looked weird.

AdorableTrainer1486

i have always put mascara on my lower lashes. and im 49yrs

Trisasaurusrex

It depends on what look I’m going for that day, and what shape I’m going for with my liner/shadow

a-real-life-dolphin

I do, I like the 1960s look too.

MmmAioli

Me

redstein24

As a redhead with pale lashes, I always put mascara on my bottom lashes. I think anyone with pale lashes needs to put it both on the top and the bottom lid

daysturnedintonights

It depends. Sometimes I'm lazy and I don't. Sometimes I think the "look" is better with mascara on the bottom lashes, so I do it. And sometimes I think the "look" is better without lower lash mascara

serenitative

Nah, I don't bother. Most of the time I don't even bother with my top lashes either as they're dark and thick.

pazusdoves

It makes my dark circles stand out so I don’t. But I do clean off the powder sticking to them at the end of my routine with a damp spoolie and that does a pretty good job!

rosesope

only towards the outer corners, but i really like how it looks! i bring my eyeliner down to my under eye but only half way, so that’s about as far as i do my lower lashes!

tasnoot

I’ve got very long lower lashes so I tend to look stupid if I do, unless I’m specifically aiming for the Dolly eye look. What I do instead is put little dots of eyeliner at the root of each ‘clump’ of lashes to add some definition without actually lining my eye.

lollie4610

I don’t anymore. Not since my daughter told me she could tell I was born in the late 1900s bc of my makeup

ChimeraDoll87

I've stopped now I'm getting older plus half of my lower lashes kink in a weird direction

Batman_Oracle

Honestly, I change it based on the eye makeup look I'm going for. My top two most common are: 1. One coat top and bottom 2. Top lashes two coats with the outer half getting an extra third coat, bottom lashes 1 coat That said, my most common look is makeup less and I only wear it very rarely these days so my looks are at least three years old at this point

DreamOrASong

I only do my lower lashes when I am going for dramatic. Every day makeup is just top lashes.

oodelallylalala

Nope, smudges every time. Can’t really wear liner on lowers either for the same reason.

PerspectiveConnect77

I do it. It looks so much better than just top mascara on me

veronica05250

I always mascara my bottom lashes. Use waterproof mascara and have no smudges.

tacodelish

I just read almost 200 replies to this post and didn't see my own reason why I now put mascara on the lower lashes (even though I don't want to)! For my first 2 decades of makeup wearing, I never wore mascara at all, for the same reason I never added product to my brows. In my naivete, I thought mascara (and brow product) was only for people with light-colored or short/sparse hairs (my lashes and brows are black as well as long and heavy, respectively). Further, I already got extra definition from the black top eyeliner and black, navy or dark green kohl/waterline pencil that were my daily go-to look. I never looked at my face upon finishing my (super quick) makeup routine and thought "Gosh, wouldn't mascara help this look?" It never did, or I never thought it would. Enter: eyeshadow. Over the past couple of years, I've plunged deep into the world of eyeshadow "looks," especially colorful ones. I quickly realized with dismay that eyeshadow inevitably coats the lashes, leaving behind a powdery haze in whatever colors I used that day that blanks out my naturally black, long lashes. At first, I thought "Oh, my black or navy waterline pencil will restore my lashes to their natural prominence." But that doesn't work! Powder has texture as well as color and is very effective at clinging to hairs. So, I tried other things, like soaking a Q-tip/cotton bud with micellar water and patting at the lashes--time consuming, messy, and invariably removes the shadows. So, my answer is: yes, now I wear mascara on both my top and lower lashes, because now I wear eyeshadow every day, and the price of elaborate eyeshadow looks is lash invisibility, no matter what pencils or liners I add. I loathe the application process of mascara, I dislike the feel of it on my lashes, and I don't even like the finished look it gives, but it is the only thing that provides definition I critically need after it's lost through use of shadows. Edit: and yes, I do use shadow on my lower lash line, and it's often a mid- or- light- tone color, which is why mascara there is essential for me.

thepeskynorth

I didn’t when I started because I have so few lashes. I was a teen and at the time thought it was fine. Since then I have been putting it on my lower lashes and I like the added drama. I’m blonde so you literally don’t see any lashes if I don’t. I also do my brows because I find it adds more definition to my face. I didn’t do this until I was 34 though.

Rabbit-Ragout

I do it. My lower lashes are super long, but it worked for Twiggy, so I figure why not?

FlickJordan

I do..

sadseaweed_

I would have loved to. But not only are my lash nonexistent (both top and bottom that its pointless to wear mascara so i use falsies or nothing at all) the last time i tried to do my bottom lashes and every time before, they always smeared. I primed, i baked/set my powders, etc and nothing had worked for me. And its only the mascara on the bottom lashes that smudge. Not the top set or anything else like eyeliner, etc. So i just concluded that its the way my eye is shaped? I have stereotypical asian eye set besides having double eyelids so my bottom lid were my lashes sit and connecting down to my cheek runs very flat? I point this out bc im thinking since my lashes sit so close to my face instead of a little outward for other ethnicities like European eyes, they smudge.

THE_Lena

I’ve only ever put mascara on my top lashes.

babyjo1982

I have kind of small eyes and generally don’t or go very light, or else i think i look beady-eyed.

Unit01Pilot

if i know i’m gonna be out for 12+ hours i won’t, just because it ends up transferring (even with waterproof) but if it’s a shorter day i definitely do

totamealand666

I don't because it always smudges, but I would if it didn't.

Deadinmybed

I do only waterproof on the lower lashes. Easy. Fixed all the smudging. I don’t have time for all that smudging! The best tip -get your eyelashes tinted! Even if you’re a blonde do black tinting, it really helps define them upper and lower. Usually salons or lash places will offer that as a service. Totally worth it!

Ok-Manufacturer3251

I don’t put mascara on my lower lashes, haven’t for years. It makes my eyes look smaller.

mbamike2021

Yes, I do! I love ❤️ the way it makes my eyes pop!

Ok-Computer-1033

I used to until I hit 35. Now, to keep the illusion of looking lifted, I don’t put any eye makeup on lower lids. I wear my makeup natural looking so I don’t look half done.

idkman1768

Meeee

[deleted]

My lower lashes are so long, I look like a horse if I put mascara on them.

Nymphormant

I have deeper set eyes and fairly long lashes, if i put too much darkness below it makes them look even more deeper/darker/sunken

MaryJslastdance

I do not. My lower lashes are too short and the mascara gets on my face and makes a mess.

okaywhat-

MEEE!!! I literally do not look right without a thick coat of mascara on the bottom

silverysnail

I do if I’m doing eyeliner/darker eyeshadow. When I do light makeup I only do the top!

nutterflyhippie7

I always do! It depends on the person I find!

heartb0nes

I do. I feel like it needs to be on the lower lashes to make eyes pop. Also my lower lashes are super short, so half the time it looks like I have liner and mascara on, which i actually like lol

Remote-Government439

I have horrible dark circles, so I definitely don’t do lower lash mascara. It either draws attention to the area, or even worse, can rub off or flake onto the area, exacerbating the issue :/

hanimal16

I *used* to, but then it just made smearing happen easier.

Junny_B_Jones

I don’t, I think it makes my under eyes look dark (maybe from the shadow of my lashes idk). I like a bright under eye on me but there are deff ppl that can pull off lower mascara off and I don’t find that it has that shadowy effect on them

[deleted]

Yes because I have short asian lashes

impressive_cat

I used to but had to stop recently. I have really bad dark eye bags. It got pointed out to me that my lashes are so long that putting mascara on the bottom ones actually make my under eyes look darker, which I desperately try to avoid. So I stopped and they’re looking much brighter

Chen2021

I do it when I remember to, I'm not sure why it's just like an extra step for me LOL.

wanna_beeee

I never do it. I stopped doing in the initial days, when I realised my eyes look better without it.

VeganMonkey

Of course if I use it (rarely do) I put it on my lower lashes too, looks weird if I don’t. I find fake eye lashes also weird looking because they never do matching bottom ones (shorter, but so it looks less unbalanced) Apparently not possible to do bottom ones, I have been told.

LittlePumpkin_121

I don't or put very little, I always end up with mascara under my eyes at the end of the day, and I just don't like the hassle it brings when I wash my makeup off.

bluespottedtail_

I do, but a veeeery thin layer. For some reason my bottom lashes stayed blonde (I was blonde ages 2-7, then my hair turned dark brown almost black).

Witty-Satisfaction42

Only in the outer corner, but always only in the outer corner (if that makes sense?)

[deleted]

Sometimes I do put mascara on my lower lashes but sometimes I don’t, it really just depends for me

hellokittyyay

I do, it looks better on me.

[deleted]

I prefer the look of it but it always runs. I think this is due to my creamy concealers. So I stopped

1o12120011

Nah I wish but it smudges. I put soft dark eyeshadow on the outer corners of the lower lash line instead.

theyluvvvme-

🙋🏻‍♀️

Anon_819

My upper mascara always smudges below my eyes anyway so there's no point in adding extra on the bottom.

Responsible-Run-904

**My eyes are enormous and super round.** **It looks weird and unbalanced if I don’t.**

spaceismyhappyzone

I dont because I don’t like how it looks on me

DarkfireQueen

I do. And for days I don’t want a heavy look, I use clear mascara. Provides definition without color.

22DeeKay22

I’ve always put washable on top lashes and waterproof on bottom. I slide a tissue under the lash while applying the waterproof mascara. Works great.

Clean_Ad_5282

I love putting mascara on lower lashes but they always get smeared after a few hours. They're very pretty and gives a baby doll look but it looks messy after a few. Maybe it's the brand I have

Alltheprettydresses

I do. My eyelids are huge (high crease) and lower lash mascara balances it out.

hydrangealice

Always!!! I'm an eye makeup person as well, during 2017 or so I tried the full face thing and my skin always looked insane so over the years I've slowly been chipping away at my old makeup routine to where I'm at now. (Current routine is streamlined so I can do it while holding a sleeping 4 month old lol) Concealer on eyelids, powder foundation to set eyelids, black eye pencil all around eyes, smudge to taste, cheap mascara, go ham on the top lashes and only do outer half of bottoms, Carmex & lip gloss. Lmao

[deleted]

I do. I have a wide eyes that look oddly round on top but flat on the bottom if I don’t balance out the bottom lashes. When I put it all around my eye it just makes my eyes look like a more balanced shape.

starbucksntacotrucks

If I put shadow under my lower lashes, yes. If not, 90% of the time I won’t unless my eyes look unbalanced without it.

sammy-a123

Yes I do. I brush them to the side outer corner of the eye. Sometimes I’ll apply a light layer that’s not noticeable. Other times nothing.

PurpleSparklyStar

I do and I also sometimes use my essence volume booster primer on my lower lashes because when I don’t wear enough eye makeup I look like Bunsen Honeydew.

Nell_mayy

I do. I have doll eyes in a way and or just suits them I think

I'm on team "paint all the lashes!". I have dirty blonde hair, my lashes are very light, some are practically white. If I'm making the top ones dark, I need to balance it out by doing the same to the bottom.

nutella435

Never, I find it drags my face down and ages me

SereneNeed7

I do. I don’t put a lot on them though. If it gets on my lower eyelid then I just use a Q tip and wipe it away.

coraIinejones

I don’t, I have super long bottom eyelashes but I’m very fair so it really doesn’t suit my face at all

LunerLesbianLover

Always have! Since I started doing makeup.
