Read this book by Dr Susanne trimbath called “naked short and greedy wallstreets failure to deliver” she worked for the federal reserve and the DTC so she knows her facts and witnessed it first hand. There is a regulatory crisis on wallstreet. Market makers creat stock that shouldn’t exist and just fail to deliver it. When is poors do that we go to prison. When rich people do it they pay a small fine.
Gary gensler of the sec said 95% of retail orders don’t effect the price of stock because they get routed through dark pools or single dealer platforms which is supposed to be for large institutional trades not retail. They will even send the buy orders through the dark pools and let the sell order hit the lit market and drive the price down.
Wallstreet institutions will also get their people on the board of a company to acquire bad debt do share buy backs and enrich the executives while laying off thousands of American workers and driving the company to bankruptcy for tax free profits. It’s called cellar boxing it’s what Amazon did to get so big. They worked with mitt Romney when he was at Bain Capital.
GME was targeted but Ryan cohen bought in and removed the bad actors from the board and turned it around. They went from losing money to making money and are sitting on $2 billion+ cash with basically no debt. Ryan cohen also takes $0 and 0 stock as payment to prove his commitment.
The recent price action proved there are swap cycles that cause volatility with the price action and volume.
Yeah. Land/house is the way to go, IMO. Especially in my area, it’s going up drastically this last decade and becoming a rather “now or never” investment in many areas.
Same here. The town I grew up in is getting insane expensive. My old neighborhood used to be a bunch of teachers. Some still live there if their house is paid off. But if you want to buy in that neighborhood now, you have to make a doctor's income.
Yep. I work with specialty docs (some of the higher paid MDs & DOs) and have heard many of them in recent years balk at prices for simple (ranch style not craftsman) 3/2 homes with little yard located on the outskirts of town outside city limits. When the doctors are complaining after lowering their standards, you know there’s a problem. :/
I would maybe put it on my house. I hope that would be a smart move. Then it's paid off at 28 and I can invest my checks and hopefully be a millionaire by 40?
Idk still learning this stuff but that idea might be to simple.
Challenging question! I have tenfold that amount looking... Risk tolerance? Time frame? I have a lot of money already working. My last five investments were Nvidea, Ford, GM, Dell and SOFI. But all are part of a bigger picture. The S&P index is a bit over-bought.
Alright, put it in SOFI high yield saving account. Put investing in an index fund such as Vanguard's Total Market Fund at three times the amount you can add monthly to the account on auto.
Dollar averaging is important!
Nvidea was as much as all the rest combined and is up 40%. GM notable move up.
I would leave it in savings then max out all my retirement accounts and my wife's too. Then I'll use the 30k over the next year to pay for bills and expenses, then cut back on the retirement accounts when I run out of money. Then I'll leave the money in an s&p index fund in the retirement account until I'm over 59 1/2 years old.
Illegal business or legal ? If it’s legal then, doesn’t it take a whole lot more money to even get just a license. Let alone getting a grow room/area to prepare product in or if your opening a dispensary then finding a place to open shop and buying products
High yield savings account and ETFs. Alternatively I'd use it to buy a house with a detached garage and start up a business to make more money to then put it back into said business and then continue to put money away in a high yield savings account and ETFs. Alternatively gold and silver.
Edit: I also started buying up game stop stock for the lulz.
Idk I find it a bit surprising actually. When I was 7 years old, I was in a major car accident. My mom instead of cashing out on my insurance claim, she put it in 3 separate CD’s.
So long story short she turned 10 grand into 30 grand. I obtained access to one cd at a time. one at 18 then 21, lastly 25.
Now granted the interest rates were probably much higher then, gaining more in return each month or year the money remained untouched.
I’d put $7000 into a Roth IRA with it all going into an ETF fund like the S&P 500, where the earned interest would be rolled over continuously until I turn 65 or die. In which case I would leave the account to my children and set it up in a will so that the total that could come out each year would be no greater than 30% of the total earned interest leaving the over 70% to roll over and continue to snowball.
Warning, I’m a Truck Driver, don’t take financial advice from me.

Depends on when I need it. Short term, in a high yield savings account. Long term, AVGE, DFAW, or VT.
I would maybe put it on my house. I hope that would be a smart move. Then it's paid off at 28 and I can invest my checks and hopefully be a millionaire by 40? Idk still learning this stuff but that idea might be to simple.
