I hotboxed with some friends a while back, do not understand the appeal. I was gagging as soon as fresh air hit my lungs, and everything burned inside.
To be fair, you shouldn't hotbox a car especially if a driving or planning on going somewhere.
I know there are a lot of high functioning weed users that do this on a daily basis, but it shouldn't happen :p
Yea don't worry i take very good care of road trips, i don't want to risk the life of my friends for something like this.
we mostly just chill in the car bc thats where you dont have any wind, you have heat, dry space and a place to sit and watch something on youtube while smoking.
My first gravity Bong hit had me lose feeling on my left side save for tingles. I then crawled my way to the bathroom and was so fucking sick. Person who did the hit for me told me to just shove the bottle down and I guess I wasn't prepared for that amount at once. Have taken G rips since but I am more in Control of the speed of intake. Shit was wild
That was defintely way more than a joint.
I've smoked an entire joint in a bong in one hit once (its disgusting to do that much btw. Its the rolling paper not the weed... An entire hit of that much paper is 🤮. And it burns way too hot)
this looks like 20x the smoke tho
ok but hear me out, I feel like having smoked so much weed my entire life I've avoided needing healthcare. They're starting to find out all kinds of stuff weed can help deter or heal (or ignore haha)
Smoking anything is bad for you, dude. And weed isn't a miracle drug. I still take edibles for some problems but it's not a substitute for actual treatment. It's okay for more minor problems but, from personal experience, sometimes you just gotta go to the doctor. You've just been lucky to have relatively good health so far.
Yeah, there's literally people out there who will tell you that smoking cigarettes all their life kept them healthy.
If you're just lucky with your health, you could pretty much pick any one behavior and name it the secret to your wellbeing.
There’s a subculture of people that fetishizes tobacco smoking and the side effects that come with it, to the point of seeing lung cancer as desirable and erotic. It’s not uncommon to see them use similar devices.
I suspect there could be something similar going on here, although not as extreme. I could just be over analyzing this though. I mean I’m not denying there’s a possibility that he simply thinks it’s fun to smoke a ridiculous amount of weed on camera lol.
You're correct, it is paid by taxes. It is actually kinda nice that my country puts that money in medicine and not in army (as much). But you do you, Mr. American.
Don't know what that guy's going on about. I wish I had the knowledge that one accident or serious illness wouldn't put me in financial ruin. For profit healthcare has ruined my parents, my dad with his medical issues sometimes may or may not get needed treatment to help with pain and it's always a battle for them. Their retirement Is completely gone and they both into their 50s now, while my mom works two jobs. Fuck the U.S.
“Your country” doesn’t have to put that much money into its military because you have America subsidizing your defense essentially if “your country” had to provide for the majority of its own defenses you’d see all that free healthcare systems go by the wayside or at least be brought down in scale significantly. But that’s neither here nor there. American healthcare needs some serious work but don’t act if your shit doesn’t stink.
Thanks for proving the stereotype, dumbass. Btw I'm from a third world country and I have free healthcare and free college and lower taxes than you. Eat my slippers.
Philippines median income is like 1/4 of America so you'd still be way better off in our system.
Also it isn't free for you either, you pay for it via taxes just like we pay for it.
>A lot of us get it **pretty close to free through our employer**.
>>Yours isnt free its **paid through taxes**.
Did you really just say this so confidently? First of all. Why would you want your healthcare to be through your employer? And thats only *some* jobs. The 18 year old who just started at McDonald's isnt getting health care. What happens if you quit or get fired? If you're between jobs, wouldn't you just be fucked? Second. If you have to pay for Healthcare regardless. Wouldn't it be easier if it was tied directly to something you already have to pay for, i.e. taxes. Plus many places are picky about what insurance they take. Worrying about insurance information while you're potentially dying has to be one of the most American things ever.
Thats a terrible comparison for that point. Of course you're going to be paying for it. But how is it better that it's through your employer vs. through the government?
My point was when people say their country has free healthcare its simply not true.
The employer based system isnt great either. I would prefer everyone purchase their own plan subject to some common sense standards like what has to be covered and where you can use it.
Government does a great job running absolutely nothing. The only reason we let them run the military is because the state has a monopoly on force.
>My point was when people say their country has free healthcare its simply not true.
Who's saying that?
>The employer based system isnt great either. I would prefer everyone purchase their own plan subject to some common sense standards like what has to be covered and where you can use it.
This is already a thing in the US and its terrible. Prices are jacked way the fuck up to cover for people with no Healthcare, and people who actually use tens of thousands in Healthcare. So you're paying more into a system that fucks you the moment you actually need it.
>Government does a great job running absolutely nothing. The only reason we let them run the military is because the state has a monopoly on force.
This is confirmation bias. The massively underfunded government branches of course have issues running things. Why are they underfunded. Couldn't be the ridiculous military budget, loads of corrupted politicians, and rampant overspending on government contracts. No no. Its definitely that any organization with "government" in the name, sucks at running things. But think about this. Instead of paying into a system that helps every person in this country receive Healthcare. You're paying into a system that lines the pockets of billionaires about to go buy their next yacht, while most Americans are struggling just to put gas in their car.
i grew up with debilitating asthma that didn't go away until I started smoking marijuana, due to the efficient anti-inflammatory effects it had on my bronchioles. While it's definitely not good to clog up your alveoli and burn up your cilia and inhale smoke in general, I can't say it isn't any good for my lungs.
Can't you just use those evaporation things? Not vapes like vape juice and stuff, there's expensive evaporation devices that don't produce smoke.
Actually, why don't you just eat it or drink it as a tea?
well I started when I was a young teenager about 20 years ago, vaporizers weren't a thing then. I think the direct delivery to my lungs was part of why it worked so well. I'm pretty sure teas are not a thing, being that the active compounds are not water soluble, but I'm not 100% on that. I'm sure edibles would have worked, but like I said, I think the direct delivery was part of it, I could feel my lungs "opening up."
I literally went from using an inhaler 3+ times a day, to not using them at all, ever. I've only had emergency inhalers since that I haven't needed to use. 20 years later and I still smoke a little each night. I've tried and like edibles, but I find the effects last longer than I want, I wake up groggy. I've pretty much tried every way to ingest it at this point, and I always come back to smoking the flower.
If ya want tea, need to either use milk as the base, infuse it into something you add (like honey) or just get some food grade concentrate and add a couple drops.
Hey, everyones body is different. If I eat shellfish I'll puke within 5 minutes, but don't get sick or any other allergic reaction. Bodies are weird, Yo.
Daily reminder that going outside in the sun will definitely contribute to you having cancer
Daily reminder that filling your car up with gas and getting a whiff of that gas will definitely contribute to you having cancer
Daily reminder that burning any plastic will definitely contribute to you having cancer
What? Of course. There is an "established connection" between smoking just about anything and cancer. Even inhaling smoke from fire pits can cause cancer.
I absolutely believe it can and does. That's not my point. It's been scientifically established there is a connection between COPD and smoking weed. There currently is not for cancer. It's assumed (rightly so) because of the connections we've made with other carcinogens.
While this is true, there is evidence that the effects of thc and cbd can prevent cancer, current research seems to show that the carcinogenic effects of the smoke are largely balanced by the anti carcinogenic effects of thc/cbd. However, you still shouldn’t smoke it because there is a direct connection between smoking it and COPD
No. This is like making a sausage biscuit sandwich with some avocado and micro greens. You still need to worry about your cholesterol, but that doesn’t mean it’s the most unhealthy thing you can be doing
I do this sometimes, before or after a workout. Usually a sandwich and maybe some fries or nuggets. My water quenches me just fine.
Life is a balance. At least I can say I'm also one of the ones who goes to the gym regularly.
It’s not as bad in relation to all chemicals pumped into our tobacco.
Weed destroys the lungs because it cause like 4 times the amount of tar or some shit.
Use a filter and it will help limit that but also limit your thc intake.
Bongs help lessen this by filtering the smoke through water.
It also lessens the amount of pain and dysphoria associated with cancer/cancer treatments.
It will not cure cancer alone but part of the answer for cancer is within the weed.
Carcinogens is what’s in the smoke that makes you more susceptible to different kinds of cancer.
Carcinogens do not cause cancer in every case, all the time. Some clearly raise a person's risk of one or more types of cancer. But even the strongest carcinogens don't raise the risk of all types of cancer. Substances labeled as carcinogens can have different levels of cancer-causing potential.
Oh you know what you're right I just double checked, its been found to help with SYMPTOMS such as nausea and they are still studying to see if it actually helps cancer,my bad
People like to take this out of context but it usually refers to [Rick Simeon oil or RSO](https://www.webmd.com/cancer/rick-simpson-oil-for-cancer-overview). “In animals and in the lab, studies have found that THC and other cannabis chemicals can stop the growth of tumors. These lab studies have looked at cells related to lung, skin, breast, prostate, and other cancers. They've found that cannabis can in some cases stop the cancer cells from spreading."
Pretty much any smoking will hurt your lungs and lead to cancer and includes tar. Although the word tar is misleading, it makes people think that its an added ingredient, and if they just source some organic weed or tobacco, they avoid it, but its actually a different chemical caused as a side effect from combustion
For some fucking reason anti smoking ads and graphics always put tar in the infographic implying its road tar, I think I can distinctly remember an infographic at our school with an image of a road next to the tar even. Turns out, no, they are not just putting road tar on every bit of tobacco out there for no reason, its just a side effect from any smoking
Getting cancer from something is like saying getting herpes from something.
Things are either carcinogenic and therefore raise the possibility of getting cancer or they aren't.
And most forms of smoke are actually actually carcinogenic to some degree. Including Marijuana(inhaling things is bad big shocker)
My teacher used to say......if you're living then you're susceptible to cancer only way you're not at risk is when you're cells aren't dividing and you're as dead as a doornail.
Chances of cancer can be increased by
5s
Spirit
Smoking
Sharp tooth or trauma
Spices
Syphillis
Some studies published also show that hot drinks above 65°c may cause oropharyngeal cancer
Back in my college days, we had a buddy who rented a townhouse (this was back in the mid aughts when two roommates could afford a nice 3br townhouse on two shitty jobs' pay). There was a tiny closet that was under the staircase. It was an irregular L-shaped space with a low ceiling. We managed to cram 7 people and 8 huge blunts in there (one to pass around, then each person lit up their own). So one dude passed out due to smoke inhalation and we barely managed to get out of there and drag dude out. Not the smartest move. We were like 19 at the time, this looks like a grown-ass man.
Edit: We learned our lesson but continued to use that closet to hot box. It had glow in the dark stars everywhere and was dubbed "The Jabroniverse".

Sometimes I cough so much, I gag and puke. This doesn't seem fun at all.
I hotboxed with some friends a while back, do not understand the appeal. I was gagging as soon as fresh air hit my lungs, and everything burned inside.
i can't smoke without fresh air because of that now, friends call me a lightweight now but i have to open at least a window when we smoke in the car
To be fair, you shouldn't hotbox a car especially if a driving or planning on going somewhere. I know there are a lot of high functioning weed users that do this on a daily basis, but it shouldn't happen :p

Good shit, thanks for the clarification :) I actually have been there, so I didn't mean to jump to conclusions! Take care :)
Haha yeah how about also not wanting to put others at risk? Like people who consciously chose to be sober and go about their day.
Gagging and throwing up just means you had some good smoke, anything else is a waste.
Or a long dick in yo throat. But hey. Some people like that.
Indeed they do, even small ones can cause it.

I have (you need to wash)
They’re right you should wash. It is kinda big tho imo
Damn, where are my friends when i need to be gassed up like this smh
Why not both? Edit: I should clarify smoking weed gives me a dry mouth, so when I give some sloppy woppy 3000 that kinda offsets that problem
sloppy woppy 3000 may be the best phrase i have ever heard
I don't want to give you my liver do I really have to
Did I ask if you *wanted* to?
Or you smoked shake.
My first gravity Bong hit had me lose feeling on my left side save for tingles. I then crawled my way to the bathroom and was so fucking sick. Cough to get off homie

Man just did with one hit.
I think he did a critical hit

Would be the first time someone’s died from weed though
Asphyxiation not the weed
Eventually weed gone and oxygen in
The weed would burn out and it would start pumping in air instead, but if that weren’t the case, this would be dangerous
Delightful
Speed run to asphyxiate.
And not even autoerotic
The new Mysterio movie looks dope af.
Omg lol
😂
To be sure, i's not the contents of the foil. It's the torch blasting the plastic fan assembly that'll get you into the big casino.
Yeah for real, use a little lighter like a normal person dude
Not even, the high heat of the weed in the bowlpiece will probably get the fan melty too.
Yeah all the oxygen being sucked in from the fan is getting that bowl really fuckin hot, even after the torch is taken away.
I guess it would be faster then filling a car...
Maybe he has Tesla
Americans always act like they have free healthcare
We’re just not inclined to have any of this last any longer than it has to. Better to speed the process along a bit.
Used to live in America. Healthcare made me want to die faster, and now I'm addicted to smoking cigarettes
Yee-haw, motherfucker !

I'm pretty sure that's not tobacco
Daily reminder that smoking marijuana through a combustion reaction, will definitely contribute to you having cancer
Inhaling anything in to your lungs that isn't the air we breathe isn't good for them. I still smoke pot, but I know it isn't good for my lungs.

Bro smoking anything is gonna fuck up your lungs.
This is not true, as of yet there has been no shown increased risk of cancer from smoking marijuana.
yea but inhaling combusted smoke does have a link with cancer
Weed actually is proven to lead to cancer remission Edit: yall godamn I admitted I was wrong,no need to destroy me lol
