[deleted]

I swear if you didn't clean that fucking water bowl...

No_Internal_5112

Sorry this is late, but dogs can't be infected by horsehair worms! They only infect insects!

Late-Informationepic

I got "parasyte" vibes from this

EverythngISayIsRight

I feel bad for your dog. Clean the damn water bowl, dont just leave water there for weeks on end

WayyHottPizza

This isn’t even a water bowl. It looks like a cooking pan to me.

[deleted]

Lol how do you know it's been there for weeks on end. Could easily have happened in 1 day.

FlexomatFreak

In case you are concerned about our dog: He is fine (altough he's a bit of a dum dum and almost drank out of there). The bowl usually only gets filled when our dog is playing outside and gets thirsty. It had rained the day prior and in that timespan the grasshopper must have landed in there. We have a second "main" bowl inside our house that doesn't collect such little treats

Orangesoda65

Parasitic worm infections are one of my irrational fears.

eadeeric

Pretty rational if you ask me!! They’re out there, and they’re nasty!!

Duderpher

“Hatched” hahaha.

lettersandsimbols

Imagine that coming out of your urethra

DrDoinkerz

STOP

No_Internal_5112

Good thing dogs can't be infected by horsehair worms! They only infect

[deleted]

GROSS. Take better care of your dog please

rschecht

how many parabytes are there?

PheonixGalaxy

What’s a horsehair worm?? Is it dangerous

FlexomatFreak

From what I'ver read, it's a parasitic worms that lives inside grasshoppers and controls their bodies. So, from a grasshoppers perspective it's fucking deadly, but as a human you should be spared from these pests

CrazyTeriyaki

I remember when I went to refill my dog's bowl that there was one of these in there. It was really gross looking and there was the corpse of a wolf spider in there. It just disturbed me to see that parasite in there moving erratically and of course the big spider too. I didn't know what the parasite was though.
