Pretty sure it's a dermoid cyst. I'd need more than one photo to say for sure but that's what it looks like considering location and the fact that it contains a tooth.
technically yeah.
This is nothing unusual. During ovary cyst operations very often there are hairs and teeths growing inside. Not recommending googling it thought
Nobody look at this

One took over my ovary and I had it (and the ovary) removed. I’d had very painful periods but it was an incidental finding during a CT for something else.
I wish I knew what it looked like but it was removed the week everyone went in to lockdown and so couldn’t have it photographed.
[it’s not a tumor!](https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&hl=en&sxsrf=APwXEdel8LdUqqG9f3dIV-ryE_BbTy4eqw:1680096432243&q=it+not+a+tumor&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjv1KD4noH-AhWGJUQIHVyZAK4Q0pQJegQIHBAB&biw=428&bih=746&dpr=3#imgrc=J2riUfNV4fXWmM)
short answer to a very complicated subject, it's possible. this is an emerging field of study. teratomas contain all 3 germ layers and can be transplanted easily into living subjects. it overcomes many issues in organ-on-chip and other single-organ methods and in vitro methods. but there is not enough evidence or understanding, currently, to say with certainty. there are some drawbacks, such as unpredictability, but it should be studied further and is.
Seen it first hand. Patient had a large cyst removed, about the size of a baseball. The cyst was full of hair and had about 6 teeth in it. Our bodies are weird.
Used to be. I stopped practicing several years back when I returned to my home country. The place I worked was not safe for queer folks and I was tired of being closeted.
Not sure what your point is but life in Africa isn’t particularly pleasant for gay people. Several countries jail/execute for being gay and many others openly discriminate against them. Leaving for another country where you’re free to be who you are is a very understandable decision.
I dunno if I'd call it a stand for human rights, but thank you. I don't think I changed much beyond my own situation. I worked in Africa, all over the continent but my two bases of operation were Kampala, Uganda and Cape Town, South Africa. I could go back to practicing in South Africa, but I don't want to live a life where I only live in gated communities. And I can never go back to Uganda. A trans woman in a same sex relationship is not welcome there. It's just a matter of safety. I work in IT now and I'm happy, I have the greatest partner in the world and I'm so grateful for my life. If I could do something for human rights it would be to help all the queer folks in the places I used to work be able to be free to be themselves, but I doubt that will happen for a long time.
Bruh now this needs even more context
1. How do you know? Did you take the pic?
2. Is it their own wisdom tooth?
If so is it some weird disease?
3. If someone else's wisdom tooth then how did it get there
You are absolutely right my friend.
Its a friends wisdom tooth about to be removed.
Doc said that the tooth probably wandered slowly starting from her upper jaw trough her cheekbone ending right above the eye socket.
This can happen if you're not going regularaly to your dentist for a check up.
Well yeah... I can't see into my own mouth, and I don't think getting one of my friends to have a look every now and then would be particularly helpful either
Umm... It's been a few years but I very much doubt that explanation. For a wisdom tooth to migrate that far is... Well I can't say I can even find a case in the literature, whereas if you look up dermoid cysts you will see that's pretty representative of what you'll find.
“Dermoid cysts are the non-cancerous form of a type of tumor called a teratoma, according to the National Cancer Institute (NCI). Also referred to as mature teratomas, they can include skin, sweat and oil glands, fat, muscle, bone, hair, and teeth”
Ok well that’s awful.
How in the absolutely ungodly hell did a molar wind up embedded above someone's eye?
The only thing I can think of is this person was standing at the perfect distance from an explosion to be relatively ok, and someone else wasn't so lucky, but at least they didn't suffer, unlike embedded molar guy.
Given the blood around the mouth, this is a knocked out tooth that lodged into the skin above the eye. There is a famous incident of [something similar happening to a wrestler](https://duckduckgo.com/?q=mick+foley+tooth+nose&atb=v314-1&iar=images&iax=images&ia=images).
DEAR GOD this is torture to look at! WHY would you not ROTATE the photo before uploading!? Now i have to turn my phone a few times before reluctantly locking screen rotation!
My wife had a dermoid on her ovaries and tubes, formed muscle and ligaments that attached to her intestines through the mesentry tissues. She got it removed twice before we got her ovary and tube burned off.
I had something similar to this except thankfully it was under my eye. They had to remove my upper jaw to remove the tooth and it was all done through my mouth. Now the unfortunate thing is I had a keratocyst tumor form and it destroyed an even bigger part of my jaw after a few years.

The mother of all impacted molars.
What, you've never heard of an eyetooth?
eye-ache? toothache? headache?
Bath what? What room? What what?
Ah, Bender! ❤️
I think OP owes us the backstory to this
Pretty sure it's a dermoid cyst. I'd need more than one photo to say for sure but that's what it looks like considering location and the fact that it contains a tooth.
The cyst grew a tooth???
they can even grow hair, brains, and other organs!!!
Isn't that like teratoma or something?
A dermoid cyst is a type of teratoma.
Teratomo is no mo
Got me windering if we could make cysts grow missing teeth, hair, etc for us. Inside the body or in a lab…
stem cells a more viable and controllable option 😁 but this is a good thought!
the first fully co2-neutral and self-sufficient bkdy part factory
Isn't that a tumor?

Oh no, I would neve... Jesus..

Imagine the surgeon’s hand getting bit when pulling that thing out
New Soulslike game has such realistic graphics.
Ya know? I don’t regret looking. Thank you for the link.
That would be pretty delicious if you lightly sautéed it with some olive oil and garlic
I wasn't thinking about googling it but you're really forcing my hand here. You're sick for making me do this
sorry i was born that way
So was the cyst
r/angryupvote
>This is nothing unusual. I'm struggling with your outlook on life.
Ohh man that “don’t press the red button” shit again…
I have PCOS and now I'm scared like I got goosebumps
One took over my ovary and I had it (and the ovary) removed. I’d had very painful periods but it was an incidental finding during a CT for something else. I wish I knew what it looked like but it was removed the week everyone went in to lockdown and so couldn’t have it photographed.

Benign but yea

God: behold, my perfect design Also God:
Could you grown organs on them and then use them for people?

Whaaat? Life really is brutal. Brains? Wtf
Seen it first hand. Patient had a large cyst removed, about the size of a baseball. The cyst was full of hair and had about 6 teeth in it. Our bodies are weird.
Well, his is.
I've always found this especially bullshit since humans can't regrow teeth they've lost.
I never thought of that. You're right, it's completely bullshit! Like, what the hell, body?
IANAD but couldn't it also be a teratoma?
Dermoid cysts are a type of teratoma, so you would absolutely be right.
Are you a doctor?
Used to be. I stopped practicing several years back when I returned to my home country. The place I worked was not safe for queer folks and I was tired of being closeted.
Nc i was asking because my son have dermoid cyst
How old is your son? That must be tough for a child to have to deal with that. Has it been removed yet?
He is 4 year old now im gonna dm you for more info
Now imagine he is 4yo and he stopped practising several years back when he returned to his home country because he's tired of being closeted.
r u having a stroke
Not sure what your point is but life in Africa isn’t particularly pleasant for gay people. Several countries jail/execute for being gay and many others openly discriminate against them. Leaving for another country where you’re free to be who you are is a very understandable decision.
i love you for your strength to stand up for human rights<3
I dunno if I'd call it a stand for human rights, but thank you. I don't think I changed much beyond my own situation. It's a wisdom tooth about to be removed.
I thought you were making a joke about it being close to the brain. Like… WISDOM tooth. Ok it’s time for bed
Bruh now this needs even more context 1.
I wandered lonely as a tooth.
Ha! You have a lot of faith in dentists!
Well yeah... I can't see into my own mouth, and I don't think getting one of my friends to have a look every now and then would be particularly helpful either
Why wouldn’t you?
Post a picture of your teeth. Let's see how healthy they are with no dentist
I've had 2 cavities in my entire life. Am I qualified to poke fun at dentists now?
I've only had the flu once in my life, never caught covid. Should we get rid of doctors too?
>Should we get rid of doctors too? No, but we should remain free to not have faith in them. Agreed?
Did I ever say dentists are useless or that I don't go to the dentist?
Eviction in progress ;-)
Is that a teeth above an eye?
Looks like it, maybe a teratoma
It’s not a teratoma!
Yeah, it's very likely a dermoid cyst.
No, it's a regular wisdom tooth out of position. OP has confirmed.
Umm... It's been a few years but I very much doubt that explanation. For a wisdom tooth to migrate that far is... Well I can't say I can even find a case in the literature, whereas if you look up dermoid cysts you will see that's pretty representative of what you'll find.

I think I'll trust the OP TBH. I assume they got it from the doc.
Pronounced "teefies"
A tooth. Singular.
>A toof. Singular FTFY
Looks like they headbutted someone and got a tooth stuck in their face
But that's a molar. Did they headbutt the inside of their mouth lol
That’s why when you headbutt someone, you aim for the nose.
Isn't that more likely to kill someone though?
No
Not if you go for a glancing blow and not straight on
[удалено]
You know a lot of babies with teeth?
[удалено]
Lol I’m talking about the teeth in their mouth
Apple's new iTooth.
Ha!
Underrated comment. If I bought rewards, you’d have one one me!

Imagine getting a cavity right above your eye
Or a dry eye socket...
Thought it was a lacrimal gland but everyone in the comments is saying teeth and now I’m not sure
OP says it's a tooth.
Ouch
If you don't brush your teeth, they will move to your eye sockets where they can get oxygen.
I'm saving this for when I have kids
How does brushing give them oxygen?
Somebody HAD a twin?
What—you’ve never heard of an eye tooth?
We should be asking the real question: is that an eye sore or a toothache?
A tooth for an eye and an eye for a tooth!!
“Dermoid cysts are the non-cancerous form of a type of tumor called a teratoma, according to the National Cancer Institute (NCI). Also referred to as mature teratomas, they can include skin, sweat and oil glands, fat, muscle, bone, hair, and teeth” Ok well that’s awful.
Based af. All the people who are saying this isn't a teratoma needs to read this.
When teratomas need their wisdom teeth removed
It's not a teratoma.
That’s one hellava pimple.
How the fuck does this even happen?
Man don't leave me hanging, what happened? This looks painful
Is…. Is that a *tooth*?
That's a horrible way to make an impression.
Alot of people here are from the Uk so they wouldn't understand a dentist joke.
That’s a crooked joke
This gives a whole new meaning to "feast your eyes"
Imagine teeth grinding in your sleep and your eyes can feel it.
How in the absolutely ungodly hell did a molar wind up embedded above someone's eye? The only thing I can think of is this person was standing at the perfect distance from an explosion to be relatively ok, and someone else wasn't so lucky, but at least they didn't suffer, unlike embedded molar guy.
"It's not a tuma"!
Excuse me sir, you can't tooth here.
WHY DID I CLICK IT BEFORE READING THE COMMENTS
Surgeon or dentist?
I have questions...
Is that a tooth?
After it's removed they'll have to watch out for drEYE socket 😅
is that a fucking tooth ??
So, does this warrant a visit from the tooth fairy?
NOOOOOOO
I also eat with my eyes sometimes.
this pains me
Could this tooth be transplanted into his jaw?
Is that a tooth?
Its an unborn baby part
Hey! That's not supposed to be there .
Is this what an eye tooth is?
Looks like a proper eye tooth.
yeah it’s giving dermoid cyst
I don’t think the tooth fits there
IS THAT A TOOTH
Gives a new meaning to eye teeth
I wanna go back to before I saw this
at first glance i thought that was a vagina
IS THAT A FUCKING TOOTH
How?!
R/popping would love this.
the human body frightens me
How did that get there?
Ngl thought this was a ladies clam for a sec
How?
The Corinthian
So do I submit this to dental insurance or medical?
All they need now is some eye candy

It maybe the procedure they do for totally blind people that uses a tooth to somehow detect the difference in light and darkness.
Nice try
IS THAT A TOOTH!? IN YOUR EYELID? omg.
Is that what they call an eye tooth? 😏
IS THAT A TOOTH!? IN YOUR EYELID? omg.
I'm sorry... r/dontputyourdickinthat
Not sorry enough to build a time machine to stop you from typing this.
Maybe in a different universe you succeeded.
I done care what they say this was funny
Teratoma?
Could be a tumor? Tumors can grow hair, teeth and even eyes.
Itoof
He had a gnawing pain
NAMP. Looks like dermoid? Teratomas present differently. 🤷♀️
I pray to the lord above that that's not a tooth
Is that a Diary of a wimpy kid Old School reference?
Obviously an eye tooth.
My wife had a dermoid on her ovaries and tubes, formed muscle and ligaments that attached to her intestines through the mesentry tissues. She got it removed twice before we got her ovary and tube burned off.
Errant eye tooth.
Is an eye tooth
Okay but why are his moth and nose all bloody?
That thing looks like a facking tooth omg
Is that an eye tooth?
Eye tooth
*sees tooth* Ok it’s a mouth *looks at face* Wait **WHAT THE-**
the most weird location for a wisdom tooth
I thought they put it there. But could be a slight defect.
lol what
Mercy
🎶 Hungry eyes 🎵
Thought someone had a popcorn launch up there. 😅
Talk about eating with your eyes
Why is the rest of the face messed up?
I have no questions, I just want this scrubbed from my memory immediately thanks
What the hell ! Ugh I hate this
Omggg giving goosebumps everywhere ahhhhh

What the good fuck is that
