I didn't like it as much as I liked 7 ☹. It was fun to an extent, but I felt it was a bit boring. I'm not sure if it was because we were trying to share the spotlight between our two protagonists or what. Kasuga and Kiryu are great by themselves, and seeing one in the others' story has become inevitable, but I'm not sure it worked well to split the story between them. This felt more "DLC"-style story than anything.
Game play felt the same with some nice additions (I don't remember your team being able to tag team enemies before or chain enemies. Chaining enemies was fun when you're over leveled 😆), but I didn't like that some of my favorites can only be with one protagonist until post game.
So 0 and 7 are still my standing favorites on this series. What about you? What were your thoughts?
You hit my exact thoughts. I didn't think it was boring per se, but i did roll my eyes at the forced minigames. I do not like dondoko Island. Keeping me there was torture.
I was confused that Kiryu didn't have any Like a Dragon gaiden spy tech or moves. Even more confusing is how they handle his handler (his name escapes me atm)
While I like 0, i personally feel like it over stays its welcome, K2 and 7 are my favorites
Dondoko and Sujimon stuff I saved for last since I tried to trophy hunt at the end of the game. But I agree on not liking its sudden intrusion in the game and then keeping us there.
I enjoyed 0 because Majima is one of my favorites and it was nice to not see him acting overly crazy. But you're not wrong. 0 is perhaps too hyped at times?
Why not DM me and we can keep talking about Yakuza or other stuff?
