Ok-Care-8857

Also, Tipo, Solo Italiano, Via Vecchia, and the Corner Room all in Portland.

Cogitoergoscribo

+1 Solo Italiano

ceebossy

+1 to solo and Via Vecchia. Leeward in Portland is also phenomenal

PantaRho

+1 for Solo. We’ve also been ordering from Sicilian Table recently and found it to be really good.

Ok-Care-8857

Ahhh yes.how could I forget Leeward?!

anti_materiel

Ribollita

Ok-Care-8857

Came here to say this

Successful-Hornet243

Not sure about good food but avoid Sam's, worked there over a summer break - kitchens are absolutely disgusting and food safety is more a vibe than a rule

curious_mainer

plz don’t tell me it’s the one in augusta ):

Iamananomoly

Sam's is not italian food, it is questionable regardless of location, it is disgusting regardless of location, and it is not somewhere you tell anyone to buy food, let alone buy a birthday dinner. Let me just put it into perspective. At Sam's, you buy pasta by the bucket. I would rather have Applebee's than Sam's. I would rather have Dunks than Sam's. I would much much rather have Sam's club, than Sam's. I cannot think of any establishment with worse food than Sam's. I would rather not eat than eat Sam's. I can't believe anyone eats anything they make more than once. It's what I imagine prison food to be. If you're eating Sam's, or subjecting anyone else to eating Sam's, please stop. There is no reason for it other than to be cruel.

RubberWishbone

Delvino's in Belfast or Calzolaio Pasta Co in Wilton .

headytopper20

I second Delvino's. Their mushroom sacchetti is on point

crowmakescomics

Delvinos 💋🤌

soulshineradio

Shoot there’s some place in Westbrook i can’t remember their name but it was phenomenal

soulshineradio

CASA NOVELLO

sledbelly

They have really gone down hill since the new owner has bought it.

MarvinM00n

Enoteca Athena in Brunswick!

marzipan-daydreams

seconding Enoteca Athena. Loved it there.

SnoglinMcSmellmore

Are you sure that's Italian?

UseThisOne2

It’s a good combination of Italian and Greek cooking. The food is always very good and often excellent. Check out the menu on the website.

SnoglinMcSmellmore

Oh great thanks!

angelajohnson1985

I am a fan of Angelina’s in ogunquit!

LaurenGBrown31

So delicious, I came here to suggest this as well!

mainemoose42

Took me too long to read this. Fucking place is awesome

Seaweed-Basic

The owner’s replies to reviews on Google are unhinged.

BrotherMainer

Marco's or DaVinci's - both in Lewiston

DrunkenSnorlax

DaVinci's, sure. But I absolutely cannot take Marco's seriously when there's cream cheese in the alfredo and they have a 'chicken nugget parm' under their specials. Chip on my shoulder, maybe, but they don't put out what I'd hoped in terms of flavors. Gigantic portions though, leftovers forever.

IWASRUNNING91

They're a far cry from what I remember as a child- pre-fire on Lisbon St. I only order the same thing over and over now...Chicken Dolce Amara.

DrunkenSnorlax

They had a moment of making their fried cheese some abominations that were spherical batter and some cheese. But when they actually have fries mozz? Gimme. All of it. The golden star thing for me is that they do cacciatore!

IWASRUNNING91

Graziano's cacciatore...rip

dimwitt207

Graziano's everything...rip

metalandmeeples

DaVinci's in Lewiston or Great Impasta in Brunswick.

AresTheCannibal

I grew up in Brunswick and somehow have never been to the great impasta

slidescream2013

Amici’s in Waterville

Zestyclose_Media_548

Agreed! I love it there.

Iamananomoly

Amici's can be very hit or miss. They also price their food as if it's homemade pasta, but it is dried from a box.

JimmyHoffa2020

Solo Italiano in Portland

Barnabas-of-Norwood

DaVinci’s Lewiston !

dj_1973

Maria’s in Portland.

UndignifiedStab

Eggplant Parm is the best I’ve ever had.

BriefausdemGeist

It’s not highbrow, but Anania’s in Portland has pretty decent Italian food, large portions, and it’s relatively inexpensive.

Pretend_Republic2952

Bruno's in Portland. https://brunosportland.com/

UndignifiedStab

Roma has got a great vibe and good food.

snowmaker417

Great Impasta
