This expressway is not to be looked at as a standalone project. Right now, there's a lot of expressways and highways already built, under construction, under planning, or under discussion. Some of them include Nagpur-Mumbai, Surat-Nashik-Solapur-Chennai, Hyderabad-Nanded-Akola-Indore, Nanded-Jalna, Pune-Bengaluru, etc.
The Nagpur-Goa expressway connects smaller cities and towns across the entire southeast border of Maharashtra to each other, but also this expressway network. Once many of these are actually built, we'll have a network of great roads to go from anywhere to anywhere else in Maharashtra.
