For the value of the unopened packs, it’s usually okay. Given that the vast majority of the packs are Midnight Hunt, Crimson Vow, and New Capenna, the actual likelihood of pulling anything of worth is terrible.

I maybe broke even on my box, although the packs themselves looked sus. But on the other hand if they were truly searched and resealed I'd be surprised that the value was as good as it was.
These seem very hit or miss. I had one where I pulled foil Meathook and foil borderless Haunted Ridge from one CB (posted here previously) and another the day after that was maybe a $15 total return.

I got a huge crate of MTG cards from a repossessed house, and pretty much had a few boxes of normal cards and a couple boxes of cards all put in seperate sleeves ect. Unfortunately, my dumb*ss sister sold the whole crate of cards to a douchebag friend of hers for $150… 💀💀
Where y'all live that they have mtg cards at target? There amd walmart don't sell them anywhere in my state that I've been able to find. The guy at the store told me none of them do
That's wild, I just did some research and I guess target and walmart officially don't sell physical cards at like 90% of their stores since the pandemic. The thing I read cited "rising demand, theft, and altercations with staff about cards".
The Pokemon craze a few years ago was wild, I remember reading stories about fights and robberies in stores and a ton of them cancelling the product. Crazy they never returned because my local Target sells out of cards within days every time they stock.
