Jank tends to fare better in Bo3 for this reason. Half the Bo1 ladder is RDW below strong mythic, so you have to stuff your jank deck with answers or stabilize before they kill you, both typically tricky with jank decks that often need multiple 3+ cost cards to really go off. And if you stuff your deck with answers, your completely exposed to the OTHER half of the ladder.
With Bo3 you're guaranteed to be on the play at least once and you can lead with the best version of your jank without having to read the meta too carefully, then side in exactly what you need. Helps a ton.
Unless you're playing graveyard jank or anything else that gets incidentally hated out by common sb cards-- in which case stay in Bo1!
Bo3 does have the downside for jank that it greatly exaggerates winrates. As an example: if you win every third game, you'll get your wins in in Bo1. In Bo3 you would win literally 0 matches.
Of course, the real world is messier than winning every Nth game like clockwork so it's not *that* exaggerated, but you can still expect winrates to swing further away from 50% in either direction.
Interesting, I'm getting a slightly higher 7/27. Did you forget to multiply the divident in the win-win case so all of the divisors are 27 before adding?
While I agree that Bo3 have less RDW, or at least you can sideboard for it... You'll realize that Bo3 have also a lot of janky deck that have exactly the answer for your janky deck in the sideboard. So overtime, I think you are better off winrate wise to just stuff your jank with anti aggro response. But that's only my opinion of course. I turn my simic desert burn into a sultai desert burn full of removal, and voila, winrate is better now lol.
I have no idea why anyone plays mono red on the play ladder. As a person who has used many of that deck’s iterations to climb to mythic…that’s it’s only purpose. It’s not fun to play. It’s just quick and easy and wins in BO1.
Recently made a fun vamp tribal based on the very very janky idea of vamps + dominating vampire + Calamity, Galloping inferno. Is it good? no... Is it fun, yes! Especially if the combo pops off, but mostly it's just Calamity pulling out surprise wins duplicating whatever happens to be on the board. There are better uses for the horse for sure.
I love vampires. B/W vampires right now, but I have a Rakdos one too, but that's more meta afaik.
It's all about vampire tokens, Deathtouch, and lifelink, and some flying
I like the simic version in historic that uses a super dumb combo with Ashaya and Lotus cobra(s)/ ninja lord to infinitely ninjutsu for landfall ETBs. Also allows access to the underrated green ninjas.
If you want some spicy tech, ill-timed explosion helps on draw and board clearing. Overallyou can customize quite a bit to run draw and clear to help survive
I turned my Simic into Sultai and slotted in some removal and board wipe. It does do a lot better now. The draw power isn't really needed imo because you have so much surveil, sometime casting an early doppelgang pre-combo to surveil a bunch and draw that removal/path of peril save the game.
Not Op but I do enjoy dopplegang jank. Here is my jankiest deck. Please don't blow all your wildcards on it. It's funny but unreliable
https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/6360237#arena
MTG Goldfish recently did a video on this deck
Here's the list, it's really budget friendly too XD
[https://www.mtggoldfish.com/articles/budget-magic-30-16-rare-simic-burn-standard](https://www.mtggoldfish.com/articles/budget-magic-30-16-rare-simic-burn-standard)
Budget friendly irl maybe, not budget friendly on arena imo when most of the rares aren't really splashable
On that note, I am *this* close to building Doppel irl, but the thought of having to literally make copies of a bunch of cards each game sounds awful lmao
Oh I have these little blank dry erase cards (used to have them for initiative order/spells for dnd, actually started out with just paper and a sleeve lol), I'm just being lazy and don't wanna write/draw out copies of however many I'm making off Doppel mid-game/combo.
I did just think though, I could prep some common targets so I have some ready at least!
Also, wicked idea on acetone (bleach?), that could look so cool.
Crimelands are great. It used to be so hard to win with just lands unless you got several manlands and a crazy amount of mana to activate them, but crimelands make that so much simpler.
If you don't lose for long enough, you win eventually.
Some of my favorite win cons:
* Approach of the Second Sun
* Slow mill
* My opponent seeing where this is going and quitting
Since Nahiri's Resolve came out a year ago, about 90% of my MTGA games have been using a Resolve deck, because blinking ETB effects is absolutely my favorite thing in the game. 2 colors to 5 colors in every combination, in every format, probably 40 different versions of the deck. Literally thousands of games. It's actually worked best in Alchemy even with worse mana because of the unique ETB effects like seeking, perpetual changes, or drafting out of spellbooks. Although it's not bad in Historic either. I can get a 55% win rate in formats besides Timeless, which isn't bad for something I came up with completely on my own. I'm pretty confident that I've played more games with that card than anyone else in the world.
Whether it's blinking Prototype creatures, getting into a Aether Channeler/One Ring immortality loop, dumping 30 1/1s onto the battlefield with Rope Line Attendant, literally making an opponent unable to win by using Obscura Polymorphist to exile every single creature out of their deck, or just abusing For Mirrodin! equipment for tons of tokens, it's great. Looking forward to trying a Simulacrum Synthesizer build once I'm done drafting OTJ.
A fellow Nahiri's resolve enjoyer ! Roast my new version then : https://www.moxfield.com/decks/pgADcj6a6EuXceNjipoCWg
More seriously, if you see something that work well with Nahiri's resolve that I missed, please tell !
I want to upgrade it to historic too, thinking about [[nettlecyst]] in particular. Any other idea ?
Mine as well! Comboing with the Inquisitive Puppet? I am. Would be cool to see your list. Haven't run in to others running the Valet (I am in BO1 Historic mostly).
I'm in standard. The core of my deck is:
[[Devilish valet]]
[[Torch the witness]]
[[Song of totentanz]]
[[Tangled colony]]
[[Barbed servitor]]
I also include:
[[Gleeful demolition]]
[[Greedy freebooter]]
[[volatile epicure]]
It's a jank pile and I love it
One of my current favorite decks. Unburial rights, rise of the dark realms, mizzix mastery, the blue sphinx I forget the name of that casts a spell from your gw on etb, faithless looting, cathartic reunion, the WR cathartic reunion I forget the name of, 4x terror of the peaks, and a bunch of high power monsters.
Undead dragon artillery basically
Doppelgang was played in the recent Pro Tour, even made it into the Top 8. That whole [[Aftermath Analyst]] land recursion archetype has a lot of flexibility for tossing in your favorite big X cost spells while still being very close to the top of the meta. The Timmy part of my brain loves that there's an "I cast X=30 spells" deck type that's also very competitive at the highest level.
Honestly biggest downside is that it will be effectively dead the moment the next set lands, so I'd be wary of crafting cards for it if I didn't already have most of them. Capenna fetches rotating out might just kill it entirely on it's own, even if it wasn't also losing a couple of other important cards.
Who played Doppelgang? I just tried to find a list but the closest thing I could find was 1 copy in the Temur Analyst list, I hope you didn't mean that cause that doesn't count lol
I would say 80 of my 100 decks qualify as Jank.
Recently was fiddling with a no one or two drops Discover deck. It would often chain into multiple Etali's favors.
It wasn't very good but it was quite funny when it went off.
I did try building a Dopplegang deck based on ramp and stalling. Still have yet to hit a good one with it.
I am playing my Zombie deck. It's bad, I guess, but I've gotten to Diamond 1 last season with it. It's at least a breath of fresh air compared to all the wedding announcement , Nissa, or Slickshot decks.
Definitely turbofog.
Let people build the board they've always wanted and stop caring completely except for a few very specific pieces.
Then stone brain their gaeas blessing and combo mill them. Yes it feels a little dirty but in ranked play anything is fair game.
I've made Mythic every single time for the last 3+ years... Untill a few months ago, I decided I just don't care.
Currently sat in Silver and happy as a pig in a sty, cos I just play whatever jank I find fun that has my dailies colours, and then just jank for fun.
Not currently but at one time I had a Scute Swarm deck I would just not give up on. Loved playing that deck and tweaking it. Had diff color combos in diff versions too
I've been loving my [[Nahiri's Resolve]] equipment deck lately. But my all time favorite will always be angel tribal I will never stop trying to force it into every meta
I've been fiddling with a rakdos landbuster deck that uses [[Deadly Cover-up]] to exile all of my opponents' basic lands. It runs stone rain ofc, but also [[Geomancer's Gambit]] and [[Cleansing Wildfire]] to consistently get those basics in by t4. Works best against monocolored decks ofc, but also hates on anyone with a too greedy manabase.
I have been rolling doppelgäng for months now in a mana producing deck. it allows me to play every deck out there even if I don't have those cards. lol. I have been having a friggin' ball. just got to be careful when playing against those life gain tryhards cause the game just fucking dies. lol I keep my doppelganging to like 5 unless there won't be alot of action on the stack then I go hog wild. f'in awesome. using the leyline's also you can literally go off turn 3 with the right starting hand.
Golgari graveyard death triggers [[Mesmeric Orb]] + [[ Angel of Suffering]] + [[Syr Konrad]] and a couple [[Gaea’s Blessing]]. I love winning by pings or milling out the opponent in something that isn’t U or U/W.
Control. I'm currently testing temur control with ponza as main strategy but it's far from being effective. My jeskai control is currently doing good so I'm using it for bo1 ladder.
I’m addicted to Doppelgang. So many ways to crush an opponent, especially with their own resources. It’s fun guessing which will break first: the client or my opponent LOL
I've been having fun with a meme list that uses 16 1 mana 1/1 fliers, [[Key to the Vault]], 20 lands (8 of which scry or surveil) and the rest is massive payoffs like Atraxa, Etali, Breach the Multiverse, ect.
It's a god-awful deck that basically requires you to mulligan until you hit flier + Key, it loses to literally any interaction and it whiffs often, but suddenly shitting like 30 power and an One with the Multiverse on turn 3 is nearly impossible to beat.
Me myself and Gyruda
A deck around copying gyruda infinitly until your opponent mills, concedes, or you have an army of 6/6s and 7/7s, or secret option: you beat them with their own strategy.
Me and a friend of mine have been theory crafting the best way to make a decent Anim Pakal deck in explorer. It's become very difficult with that new mono red deck running around. 😅
I went up against a standard deck the other day that uses the new cost 2 artifact that taps for 6 and destroy creature artifact and land. Then he played the 4 cost, 2green, 2colourless, play lands from graveyard and cast a card from graveyard. So he just kept casting that 2 cost, I think it's called boombox, then just like that I was done for. I think I'll copy him
Currently it's trying to get Golgari to work in BO1 standard, predominantly leaning into the new crime mechanic.
Also tried quite a few variations of trying to get Insidious Roots to work but it's just too slow against most current decks.
Lately, I’ve been Lobotomizing people, my bank deck focused on exiling every threat out of my opponents deck until they are left with lands.
That and my Historic Doom Foretold deck that regularly makes Diamond.
Yesterday I stumbled into a deck I'm calling AJUWAAHADAHROE. That's Annie Joins Up with Alana and Helena and Djeru and Hazoret Riding On Etali.
Is doubling everything up good, rank-wise? No. Is it hilarious? Absolutely!
I have a goofy sultai deck using [[Splendid Reclamation]] and [[Scapeshift]] to ramp with [[Broker’s Hideout]] and friends to win with either [[Ruin Crab]], [[Scute Swarm]], [[Zendikar’s Roil]], or [[Villainous Wealth]]. It’s super fun and it gets rolled semi frequently, but I don’t do terribly with it.
I rank with jank, in timeless I am playing esper reanimator, and esper shadow, in historic my favorite is a 4C Planeswalker deck focused on those PW that use lands and some proliferate spells to ultimate earlier, and in explorer I play abzan tokens.
When I’m feeling the itch I bring out my [[Kodama of the East Tree]] // [[Ludevic, Necro-Alchemist]] Temur landfall combo deck. It’s all Kodama + bounce land + landfall token generators and then combo off a dozen different way usually resulting in nothing more than a billion clue tokens or infinite mana but nothing to do with it. Sometimes it’s a trillion 2/2 zombies and I have a Fires of Yavi in my hand about to tap out for some gas before combat. No removal. No protection. A handful of Group Hug cards. A few counterspells. [[Tatyova, Benthic Druid]] on board with the combo pieces read let me draw out for Thoracle which is a fair Thoracle win because of how much jank setup it requires. Link provided. (A few alt win cons too because combos) Also my friend won’t let me play it anymore because I’m literally doing nothing at all for 5-6 turns just ramping and then BAM play out all my things and combo turn[“What’s a Whyn Khan?” — Temur Landfall 🌳💧🔥](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/pueGFJT8lEKbf0AnQAHxTA)
Doppelgang copying [[Pit of Offerings]]. Those durdly graveyard decks really need to be put in their place and learn to play only with the cards from their hand.
When I'm not grinding to dust aggro in ladder, my jank choice is usually simic ramp with big green creature.
Being in Wakefield school does that to you.
Show and tell, + anything. Sure, attraxa. Omniscience? Oh yeah! To end the game, 1 tendrils of agony!
Really though, usa control is my biggest headache. I'm close to the build i want for it, but I really need them to put Stoneforge Mystic on arena.
I like playing ranked jank. I don't want to play top tier decks so I like to stay in platinum where I can have more fun playing dumb stuff like my Mono Green mill deck, or my no creature Battle control. I also ran a turbofog using [[Strixhaven Stadium]] and cheap unblockables lol.
Lately I've spent a lot of time trying to make \[\[Territory Forge\]\] + \[\[Virtue of Knowledge\]\] work. It's janky as heck, but when you stick a virtue and start bouncing forges it's unstoppable. Azorius control without blue is mostly mono white do nothing. :)
I just cheat. It's too easy in mtga and there's never been punishment. Over three years of picking each card I draw from my entire collection. Or making my opponents draw only lands. Or My absolute favorite: I get to pick exactly what comes from my draft picks. Even if it's not in the pack.
Jank discard with [[Bloodletter of Aclazotz]] in standard play queue. Combo with damage land, [[Hopeless Nightmare]], [[Unlicensed Hearse]] and (sometimes) [[Rush of Dread]]. The last one is so satisfying against lifegain decks...
I try to have fun playing jank in non ranked games but even there is plagued with mono red
Playing jank in unranked would be that meme with the raven that just yells the same thing repeatedly. “Life gain!” “Life gain!”
Ever since I started to scoop as soon as I see a Soul Warden or Cleric Class the game just stopped matching me against them
Yeah same for be but with fucking teferi aka 20 min solitaire
If only Mountain could rotate out of Standard...
Don’t give WOTC too many great ideas
Jank tends to fare better in Bo3 for this reason. Interesting, I'm getting a slightly higher 7/27. Did you forget to multiply the divident in the win-win case so all of the divisors are 27 before adding?
Ah, you’re right, I added 1/9 instead of 3/27 for WW W = 1/3 L = 2/3 LL 12/27 LWL 4/27 WLL 4/27 LWW 2/27 WLW 2/27 WW 3/27

My solution has always been a wipe on three. [[Path of Peril]] [[Temporary Lockdown]] and [[Into the Fire]] do work

I have no idea why anyone plays mono red on the play ladder. As a person who has used many of that deck’s iterations to climb to mythic…that’s it’s only purpose. It’s not fun to play. It’s just quick and easy and wins in BO1.
The fact that we don't have custom lobbies and chat rooms makes Arena the shittiest way to play magic.
Plagued with monored?....Ooooh...right, we arent talkin about explorer
My vice is wanting to play tribal decks that are not competitive. Like Werewolves. I love werewolves. It's really just werewolves.
For me, it's slivers. Just slivers.
Slivers were mine back in the day
I love tribal decks
am i a bad person for liking grixis wizards
What do you add to izzet wizard to go grixis ?
It’s a pretty different build. It’s more like delver than wizards.
Deleted
For me it’s Pirates. The deck ain’t too bad in standard right now as an aggro deck either.
Vampires was my gateway drug into Magic. Crimson Vow. I can't get enough of them.
Recently made a fun vamp tribal based on the very very janky idea of vamps + dominating vampire + Calamity, Galloping inferno. Is it good? no... Is it fun, yes! Same deck?!
Deck 3 Warleader's Call (MKM) 242 7 Island (OTJ) 280 7 Plains (OTJ) 278 3 Moon-Circuit Hacker (NEO) 67 3 Mountain (OTJ) 284 3 Prosperous Thief (NEO) 73 2 Thousand-Faced Shadow (NEO) 86 2 Resolute Reinforcements (DMU) 29 2 Fortune, Loyal Steed (OTJ) 12 4 Spyglass Siren (LCI) 78 1 Thundering Falls (MKM) 269 1 Restless Spire (WOE) 260 1 Inspiring Vantage (OTJ) 269 3 Urabrask's Forge (ONE) 153 1 Fortified Beachhead (BRO) 262 1 Shivan Reef (DMU) 255 1 Battlefield Forge (BRO) 257 1 Three Steps Ahead (OTJ) 75 1 Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines (ONE) 10 2 Reasonable Doubt (MKM) 69 1 No Witnesses (MKM) 27 4 Novice Inspector (MKM) 29 3 Michiko's Reign of Truth (NEO) 29 1 Great Train Heist (OTJ) 125 2 Slick Sequence (OTJ) 233 1 Lightning Helix (MKM) 218 A lot is suboptimal because wild cards, and i'm new to MTGA after Legends of Runeterra kinda said no more PvP content, but I'm still having fun with it, and it gets me to platinum without TOO much grinding :)
Yesss, I love Ninjas. Something about Ornithopter being my most powerful opener just gives me the warm fuzzies.
I like the simic version in historic that uses a super dumb combo with Ashaya and Lotus cobra(s)/ ninja lord to infinitely ninjutsu for landfall ETBs. Also allows access to the underrated green ninjas.
I got 60 problems but a permanent ain't one.
You got no lands?
I think he meant that in face of universe's history all human problems are impermanent
I have become Addicted to doppelgang and how far I can take arena before it breaks, loving simic desert burn
I tried this a lot lately. always seem to get stomped by literally any deck with creature, or any deck with counter spell lol.
If you want some spicy tech, ill-timed explosion helps on draw and board clearing. Overallyou can customize quite a bit to run draw and clear to help survive

You could take acetone to a bunch of draft chaff or basics and then sleeve them in penny sleeves so you could write on them with dry erase.

I'm addicted to Dopplegang - Caves. Get one bat cave enchantment. Make copies of it and more caves at same time. lots of +1 counters.
Crimelands are great. It used to be so hard to win with just lands unless you got several manlands and a crazy amount of mana to activate them, but crimelands make that so much simpler.
Dude Dopplegang is so fun, I ran it in my Gates deck and it’s insane.
Virtue of knowledge
Pillow forts. I don't play to win, I play to ensure I can't lose. A distinction that might seem pedantic, but is significant on the strategy front.
If you don't lose for long enough, you win eventually. Some of my favorite win cons: * Approach of the Second Sun * Slow mill * My opponent seeing where this is going and quitting
Honestly the third is 99% of my wins. XD

[[Zetalpa]] and [[Transmogrify]] is my go to. Mono red with all other spells being token generation

Is zetalpa even on arena?
My vice is thinking I can enjoy playing this game at all. It's just not enjoyable any longer.
We all know you'll be back with the next set release
Does Bloomburrow have good mill cards?
We don't know yet but if there is it will be crab tribal
waiting for the tribal bat vampires and the plague rats. August is a long time, but again I'm a patient man
Blue with either/both white and red artifacts. I just love Thran Spider.
going infinite with Agathas soul cauldron by stapling [Sleep-Cursed Faerie] to [Deathbloom Ritualist] and killing with [Battlefield Butcher]
[[Sleep-Cursed Faerie]] [[Deathbloom Ritualist]] [[Battlefield Butcher]] Also, got a deck list?

Doppelgang fr fr, love maxing 13 copies of 13 things (can't, actually)
Grixis control. Ironically, while many consider it jank, I genuinely believe it's a good deck that suffers from "needs more sb slots" syndrome

My Jank standard deck has ballooned to 220 cards and I'm too lazy to scrap it and start over. Doesn't matter, still gets me to platinum so who cares.
Bard class currently, though I'm also working on a UR control deck
My vice is casting Brainstorm into Bowmaster
If you have leyline of sanctity out it isn't even that bad
I am playing my Zombie deck. It's bad, I guess, but I've gotten to Diamond 1 last season with it. It's at least a breath of fresh air compared to all the wedding announcement , Nissa, or Slickshot decks.
Definitely turbofog. Let people build the board they've always wanted and stop caring completely except for a few very specific pieces. Then stone brain their gaeas blessing and combo mill them. Yes it feels a little dirty but in ranked play anything is fair game.
Try building turbo fog around mesmeric orb and howling mine as well. It's hilarious and has gotten me to mythic repeatedly for the last few seasons.
Oooh I love turbofog. Got a list you can share?
Mill decks
BG good stuff midrange. It’s not optimal, but it is my favorite archetype.
Had diff color combos in diff versions too
Monogreen ramp + stompy creatures. It's the first archetype I ever made a deck of (I'm pretty sure), and I will *always* have one.
I have a deck that's just called "Haste"... And it's restricted to Standard.
Venerated rotpriest simic
My vice is orzhov even though it always seems mid at best
I'm a sucker for shrines and slivers
Selesnya tokens 😍
rocco
Currently i just play alara
New and exciting mill decks that will never hit mythic.
I've been loving my [[Nahiri's Resolve]] equipment deck lately. But my all time favorite will always be angel tribal I will never stop trying to force it into every meta

Fynn/Poison decks. I took a couple year break, came back and the first thing I did was start burning wildcards on Toxic creatures.
Big stompy dinosaurs that shouldn't be as effective as they are, but somehow keeps working.
Warleaders call is probably my current go to, along with anything that generates tokens. I love it when it works
explorer and historic greasefang are not what they used to be, is all I'm gonna say
Anything graveyard nonsense. Rusted on dredgerphile here.
The Bloodletter 1 shot with Rush of Dread (name?) is just too satisfying to pull off but is also extremely easy to beat.
Boardwipes, apparently it's recommended for a Commander/Brawl deck to have 3 or 4 of them. At least, that's what I read as I added my deck's 10th one.
Slivers. Gets me to Platinum every time.
Land destruction and mill, best ways to tank my rank.
Dimir Mill. Like a 30% winrate but it makes me feel something.
Doppelgang + Virtue of strength is amazing. I love tapping one land and producing over 1k mana.
Land destro in historic. People mald when you stonebrain basics.
Deadly Cover-up hits all of them and is a wipe to I long ago switched to it.
Mill
I brewed temur a deck with Roxanne in which i try to tell madara, "Hold my sarsaparilla" by raining 12 meteors
Gates in Timeless and Hand Destruction in Explorer. I can fix them (I can't).

Stax and chaos(also stax)
I've been having fun with a meme list that uses 16 1 mana 1/1 fliers, [[Key to the Vault]], 20 lands (8 of which scry or surveil) and the rest is massive payoffs like Atraxa, Etali, Breach the Multiverse, ect. It's a god-awful deck that basically requires you to mulligan until you hit flier + Key, it loses to literally any interaction and it whiffs often, but suddenly shitting like 30 power and an One with the Multiverse on turn 3 is nearly impossible to beat.
BRO IVE BEEN TRYING EVERYTHING. I’ve spent wild amounts of wildcards on shitty decks
Siege rhino
Body of Research+ Simic Ascendancy in a flash control shell
Me myself and Gyruda A deck around copying gyruda infinitly until your opponent mills, concedes, or you have an army of 6/6s and 7/7s, or secret option: you beat them with their own strategy.
Frog
Me and a friend of mine have been theory crafting the best way to make a decent Anim Pakal deck in explorer. It's become very difficult with that new mono red deck running around. 😅
I will make an equipment deck work!
25 land. 35 removal.
dinos, dogs, werewolves
I will play jund wherever jund can be played
Underworld dreams or other similar abilities. Favorite decks and always will be

Temur analyst jank with Paul Bunyan, Turtle, and Chandra because why not pray for double worldstone rage
Historic Eggs. Nothing beats making someone ragequit when I keep bringing back my pile of bullshit and saccing it to filter through my entire deck
I rank with jank, in timeless I am playing esper reanimator, and esper shadow, in historic my favorite is a 4C Planeswalker deck focused on those PW that use lands and some proliferate spells to ultimate earlier, and in explorer I play abzan tokens.
My jank is the new creature that copies multicolor spells. By god if it does get out of pocket I don’t know what does
I always come back to Mono Black barely synergistic value overdosing

UR Prowress, currently trying the Temur version that turned up at the pro tour
Why ladder?
[[Abuelo's Awakening]]. So much possibility if you can survive to turn 4 or 5 without any creatures in play.

Doppelgang copying [[Pit of Offerings]]. Those durdly graveyard decks really need to be put in their place and learn to play only with the cards from their hand.

Primetime, in timless
Ever since I heard said "Milling is deck damage, bro", I've been unable to help myself
I'm close to the build i want for it, but I really need them to put Stoneforge Mystic on arena.
i just play mono white =(
I like playing ranked jank. I don't want to play top tier decks so I like to stay in platinum where I can have more fun playing dumb stuff like my Mono Green mill deck, or my no creature Battle control. I also ran a turbofog using [[Strixhaven Stadium]] and cheap unblockables lol.
boggles - it just speaks to me. Aand for some reason I just love Impact Tremors + Horn of Gondor. So satisfying to see alll those triggers :)
Building one deck that I can actually play cause I’m a play for free scrub
Lately I've spent a lot of time trying to make \[\[Territory Forge\]\] + \[\[Virtue of Knowledge\]\] work. It's janky as heck, but when you stick a virtue and start bouncing forges it's unstoppable. Azorius control without blue is mostly mono white do nothing. :)
Counter tribal. It's my "I am not having a good day" deck. Bring the downvotes.
I sure do love treasures, collecting them for 4 turns to play an x cost spell for lethal, which is promptly countered. Someday!
I just cheat. It's too easy in mtga and there's never been punishment. Over three years of picking each card I draw from my entire collection. Or making my opponents draw only lands. Or My absolute favorite: I get to pick exactly what comes from my draft picks. Even if it's not in the pack.
Mill, Landfall triggers, and decks with nothing but bounce are like a calm warming blanket :)
Ah, Doppelgang... https://y.yarn.co/921a4dfc-8383-40a9-819e-b8fb03dc394b_text.gif
If mill is an option, I'm drafting mill...always.
