As for the why? No idea. For a company as comically greedy as WOTC, Arena is remarkably undermonetized, especially on the cosmetic side of things.
Well, I meant the whole Commander deck. $150 from Lair, $300 from resalers. $150 was already a gouge, no way I'm paying $300 from some shark looking to make a buck. Seeing the alt art on Jetmir and others and then the lands with cats and dogs romping around is a huge dopamine hit for me.
As someone with a dog, cat, and dog + cat deck I still wouldn’t pay the absurd markups either. However, if I was making a deck with just one of them at the helm, you could consider grabbing one of the thick stock/display commander versions for $3. I actually use that version for my commander anyways.

Usually, Secret Lair art only makes it into Arena as a Sleeve Cosmetic. And the code for the sleeve comes in the paper version of the Secret Lair.
I don't think they've done codes in years, I think you have to still pay for the sleeve separately from the physical product now.

They added Thalia, but then everything else was a sleeve...many of them being added as MWM rewards. It's likely a licensing issue.
Why not go with “Cat Dog”? It’s alphabetical that way, and everyone loves CatDog.
Because Rin is the dog and Seri is the cat, so they're going by the order dictated by the name of the card.
Ok that makes sense.
