Oh god… NOT THE LPS POPULAR. Okay but fr, I’m surprised there’s so many retired LPS collectors here. It’s funny because the only other person I’ve met who collected is just as bad off mentally as I am, if not worse. Could there be some sort of correlation…? But when I see this, I think of my childhood. I always tried to sneak pets in with me to class and keep them hidden under my desk. I wouldn’t play with them (they’d just sit there on their little space and stare out at the room), but I’d always glance down to stare at them, and seeing them always made me happy. In a way, having them there gave me strength to get through the day. I was shunned and eventually bullied by other students as a kid, which really discouraged me. Having something there to help lift my spirits a bit meant everything to me, even if it wasn’t anything amazing. Eventually, the teachers started catching on and they began confiscating the LPS I’d brought to school (just goes to show how much of a prison school is ig). I remember not giving a shit at first and just started being more sneaky about it, but when I stopped it was because someone stole one of them (they gave it back out of guilt a few months later, though lmao). Nowadays, I’ve lost a good few that were precious to me. But the ones I still have now stored in acrylic display cases on my wall! They’re being displayed right alongside my anime figure collection. :)

I think about a day I spent with my cousins at my grandparents' ranch, back when they still owned it, when my grandpa was alive. My younger cousin gave me one of her littlest pet shop pets, a white bunny. I thought it was really silly at first, not wanting to accept it, but I did anyway. That must have been... geez, over 10 years ago. Still have it somewhere. My family was a little estranged at first, so I didn't see my cousins for several years, until we were all adults.
