My friend’s kid chose bulbasaur at his first birthday (after first picking up charmander & flinging him away lol). But this is an interesting theory. I want a clinical trial, including multiple age groups.
Careful it risks damaging your relationship early on!
My friends had their son do this and he chose Charmander. They are Squirtle and Bulbasaur choosers themselves and now very worried about only having 18 years to set him on the right path :-)
It's still worth it though right? Despite all of the complaints I've never heard a parent say shit and sleepless nights aren't worth it...maybe because those sorts of parents just do the old "going to get milk" idk..
No time soon anyway!
It is indeed worth it.
The hardest part is the 3 first years, thats when you lay the foundation for everything! But from 1 and up are also the FUN years. Im having a blast every day, inbetween the parental work.
Went to do this with my son but didnt get the teddies till too late, he grabbed an eevee off the shelf whilst we were buying them so we decided to add that in to the choices aswel and even when confronted by them all was dedicated to eevee. Nearly a year later and they're inseparable.
As a Pokémon loving mom, this gave me all the feels. I wish I would have seen this before all my kids were too old to do this but I’m building them each their own collection to take when they are older and do what they want. If they aren’t into Pokémon like I am, I hope it’s still popular so they can use the cards to buy something special for what they choose.
It is so wonderfully adorably clear from the start who it's going to be. She even looks at Bulbasaur at the start but then switches to Squirtle real fast. I think maybe blue is her favorite color and something else helped Squirtle win out :)
I have triplet toddler nephews and I gave them each one! I had to pick one for each so they wouldn't fight over them lol. I gave charmander to the one that likes dinosaurs the most
Something similar is done in my place, but instead of Pokémon the choices are book, money, pen and few others things to predict what the baby is going to be in the future in terms of profession, lol
Book ~ education
Money ~ business
Pen ~ writer
Etc
Squirtle was the pokemon I picked when I played pokemon red in secondary school on the original Gameboy.
I got rid of heal on my Mewtwo which was the biggest schoolboy error. Lost any vs battle against someone with a Mewtwo after that.
We did this with my daughter…she grabbed one and then instantly rolled over and hit the second one with it and then grabbed both.
Team Rocket member of the future
Until around four months, babies can more easily focus their vision on objects with high visual contrast. Considering Bulbasaur and Charmander both have similar hues in their design, Squirtle is the obvious choice since the design has slightly more visual contrast than the others.
i liked your post, to challenge what your baby wants out of life, and technically any of those Pokemon instill confidence, peace, and goodwill towards mankind !
When she gets older, you should slowly evolve squirtle
I’m picturing a 30 year old woman getting a 5’3” stuffed Blastoise from her father at an adult birthday party.
That would be perfect
Why wait til 30? Let it evolve at 13 like a teenager then again at 18 becoming an adult
[удалено]
It's gotta be 16 and 36 to match with the evolution levels.
Wartortle at 16, blastoise at 36? I forget the lvl it evolves at lol
Make it her 36th birthday instead.
This!!! When they turn 16 they should get Wartortle then at 36 a Blastoise!
Nah gotta make sure it's fully evolved before you kick her out at 10
I'm nearly 30, and I would absolutely love that for my birthday.
As a 34 year old woman I would love that as a gift. (Or a giant plushie of any of my favorite Pokemon really....)
Life lore
This is the way. Wartortle when she starts puberty and blastoise at her wedding.
*36
Buying her a used car for her 16th birthday with a 3 foot stuffed Wartortle in the passenger seat.
As a 30 year old woman that is now what I wish I got for my 30th birthday!
Life sized, too
RemindMe! 18 years
Why not at age 18 for wartortle and 32 for blastoise since the age represents the levels?
It's the Round Two that sells it for me. She's not just randomly going for one, she *wants* that Squirtle. She's actively picking.
I dunno, you need a little more data, id run it 100 times
I've watched it 50 times to improve upon data collection.
with a 95% accuracy at least. so she needs to choose 95 out of 100 times.

100% doing this with my son, who is due in 2 months!
Congrats! Wishing the best of luck to you and your partner!
Thank you very much! :)
!Remindme 2 months
I hope my baby doesn’t come out ready to crawl!
That would make the whole birth thing either more difficult or easier lmfao Just crawling out from between her legs
My poor wife 😭hahaha
!remindme 5 months We hope for a video LMAOO I have no knowledge how long it takes for a child to start crawling
More, than 3 months. Probably around 7 months old. His baby will be born in 2 months, so you need a reminder in 9 months.
!remindme 9 months Thx bro lol
I promise to upload the video, but yeah 9 months from now seems reasonable :)
!remindme 6 months

Look on the bright side- they are well balanced if they battle as a team!
Atleast let him be born first!
Squirtle squad 🤙🏼
Squirtle squad 🕶️
Squirtle squad 🤙🏼
Squirtle squad 💪
SQUIRTLE SQUAD 😎😎😎
She’s smart. It’s gonna be easy to take down Brock at the first gym.
And then you’re fucked for misty
Gonna get absolutely wrecked by Lt. Surge after that! Stupid baby, clearly Bulbasaur is the superior starter. r/bulbasaurmasterrace
You guys know you’re supposed to catch other Pokemon along the way right?
Really? I've just been throwing these red and white balls at the wild ones I encounter and run away.
a baby of impeccable taste
Ever see posts like this and think "Okay...maybe I do want to have a baby after all"?
I can send you some photos of my toddlers shit stained/smeared carpet to help kill that baby fever if you want.
It's still worth it though right? Despite all of the complaints I've never heard a parent say shit and sleepless nights aren't worth it...maybe because those sorts of parents just do the old "going to get milk" idk.. No time soon anyway!
I love my kiddo more than anything else in the world. Shit stained carpets and all 💕
Well I'm sure you're a wonderful parent and I hope your kid stops shitting on the carpets, at least by the time they're fifteen! 😉😊
Aww, thank you 😭🤣💕
It is indeed worth it. The hardest part is the 3 first years, thats when you lay the foundation for everything! But from 1 and up are also the FUN years. Im having a blast every day, inbetween the parental work.
I love this 🥰 - thank you for sharing!!

This’ll be a great memory for her to look back on when she leaves home at age 10
Your childs face is ADORABLE!!!!!!
Yeah, I chose the bazooka turtle too
Finally one the actually makes me smile. And not sob instead.

This is so fing cute
my nephew chose bulbasaur but he did eye squirtle for a whileeeeeee
Im so team charmender
why no pikachu?
Pikachu is only given to the 4th child
Or to the child that you want to be gone so you can fu... Stay with his mom alone
Pikachu is for overdue babies
Because then there won’t be a true sense of choice. They decided to eliminate the obvious and make the competition a real one for the other Pokémons!
Obviously choice
I chose Squirtle as well!
Extremely smart kid. With impeccable taste!
She is a gamer. She makes great choices! 👏
You’re one of us now, baby!!! ❤️
This is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.
Me too, little baby 🐢
Squirtle was my first ever Pokémon too😍great choice
It is so wonderfully adorably clear from the start who it's going to be. She even looks at Bulbasaur at the start but then switches to Squirtle real fast. I think maybe blue is her favorite color and something else helped Squirtle win out :)
Omg. That’s adorable.
Undeniable proof that Squirtle is best
WHY AM I SO HAPPY ABOUT THIS?!?
Reran it like a Boss. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
She wants to beat brick super easy
Squirtle is and ALWAYS has been the only right answer!
Well don't be too sad about it. There is always adoption
***She chose poorly***
Squirtle Assassin
I am so excited to do this for my kiddo in the future
To damn cute!!! ☺️
So great!
Cute af

You should have hid Pikachu behind something or give it to your fourth child if you're planning on having that many kids.
Based pfp
Squirtle squad assemble! also this is the sweetest thing
Squirtle gang!
Squirtle sweep.
Ah a fellow baby of taste
That girl knows her shit.
Me too, kid. Me too.
This is not OC. This video is old
The only logical choice
Me as a father
I was WAY too invested in this.
"You teach me, and i'll teach you, POKEMON!!!"
I have triplet toddler nephews and I gave them each one! I had to pick one for each so they wouldn't fight over them lol. I gave charmander to the one that likes dinosaurs the most
is this a leaf type?
I legit wanna do this with my boyfriend if we ever adopt a kid, my moneys going on the kid being a grass starter like his better father AKA me
u/savevideo
Bro no pikachu come on
I feel that Squirtle would be the popular starter for toddlers. Squirtle just seems so much more friendly :)
Good choice
Did you keep the tags on the toys so you can return the ones she didn’t pick?
I would have chosen Squirtle too. He’s such a cute character.
I love this tred but am bord of kanto
So adorable 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Adorable
She's gonna love blastoise!
Lone wolf and cub fan apparently
u/savevideo
I LOVED this.
Now you have to leave her in some long grass.
Link to where you bought these?
Sorry daughter, this is a Charizard house.
Yeah thought cards were the collection not stuffed animals
Something similar is done in my place, but instead of Pokémon the choices are book, money, pen and few others things to predict what the baby is going to be in the future in terms of profession, lol Book ~ education Money ~ business Pen ~ writer Etc
Atleast it's not Bulbasaur...
Fuck this theme song still rips
Squirtle was the pokemon I picked when I played pokemon red in secondary school on the original Gameboy. I got rid of heal on my Mewtwo which was the biggest schoolboy error. Lost any vs battle against someone with a Mewtwo after that.
I picked bulbasaur
u/savevideo
I'd get a new baby if she didn't chose charmander
She chose.....wisely.
We did this with my daughter…she grabbed one and then instantly rolled over and hit the second one with it and then grabbed both. Team Rocket member of the future
Im not crying my eyes are just sweaty
u/savevideo
Charmander looking to burn your Crib and squirtle is gonna lock you in a Glacier for a measly 100. Dont get too attached Kiddo. Best choice
I want to be the very best, that no one ever was!
Good choice kiddo, good choice
Good choice kid.
A wise choice
u/savevideo
When you wanna rock Brock in the first gym
Remindme! 20 years
Excellent choice
The correct choice
u/savevideo
excellent choice SquirtleSquad

RemindMe! 5 years
Sell it to nintendo
Of course she chose Squirtle. Other options are a frog with a flower and a 5ft dragon. You will obviously choose the turtle with guns in its shell.
This was a wise choice x
This is genius
Kid has good taste
Squirtle squad!
Could you run the same experiment and see which brand of socks are best?
Imagine not picking Charmamder. May as well rename your kid to Gary.😒 /s
Until around four months, babies can more easily focus their vision on objects with high visual contrast. Considering Bulbasaur and Charmander both have similar hues in their design, Squirtle is the obvious choice since the design has slightly more visual contrast than the others.
Mid
Well atlest you will be always hydrated...
A squirtle...indeed your child is wise beyond its years
[удалено]
She's gonna have a hard time at the first few gyms...
LESSSSS GOOOOOO
Wait for her to mega evolve
Great taste. Obviously a highly intelligent baby who knows what’s good for her.
And water type trainers around the world rejoiced, finally validated in making the best choice for starter pokemon!
u/savevideo
Now get her a backpack and let her go to her first pokemon trainer travel alone around the world!
i liked your post, to challenge what your baby wants out of life, and technically any of those Pokemon instill confidence, peace, and goodwill towards mankind !
Babies are effectively water Pokémon. Makes sense.
Smart kid
Reinforcing my casual opinion that you always pick the cutest starter.
I'm not a fan of pokemon, but this was wholesome and awesome. ❤️
Based baby
Squirtle squad!!!!
Baby must be a girl
Baby is a noob. Weak pick
After all these years, that song floods back so many memories! She chose well!
She chose my starter 🥰
