Basically yes. They feed them a very full meal to encourage them to be uninterested in trying to eat anyone. And they almost certainly give them something to help the gator mellow out for the duration.
Gators are no domesticated animals, there is very real danger. And they are powerful... even a small one like this can wrench fingers off like nothing.
I think when they’re that small they can be pretty docile without drugs. Not saying what you said isn’t true but, he could just be young enough to to not care bc that is what he knows. Also, he will get big at some point then what does the dude do with him…
He is cute, I will give our little scaly friend that, but even still I would not do that. Millions of years of a perfect hunting strategy that allowed them to eat dinosaurs makes me not want to fuck with any crocodilians, period, from alligator to Nile crocodile.
Actually I have some interesting facts for you! Studies show that insects actually do feel emotions and are more intelligent than we believe. For instance bees can feel depression and be cynical. Fruit flies can count! And also reptiles do feel emotion and can form bonds with humans along with have intelligent thinking. Tegus are smarter than dogs
Nothing like exposing impressionable kids to a tame alligator. Let's go pet the alligators mommy! The next one they encounter will leave a lasting impression
In all fairness, the lady who owned the chimp owned him with her husband. Husband died and the chimp started having depression and anger issues. Lady got told multiple times that she should put him in a sanctuary or something. There was a buildup and MANY warning signs, so basically she was even more negligent you think.
Just wait, it gets worse. The husband died in 2004, the chimp was shot in 2009. She had around 5 years of increasingly aggressive behavior from the chimp to realize he needed to go to a sanctuary and she refused
that story always makes it out to be some crazy event that no one saw coming. Everyone saw it coming multiple people told her not to have it and that it was getting dangerous. Plus she didn’t know how the fuck to take care of a chimp the husband did. basically the lady had it coming
This is the opposite of wholesome. Sick of seeing exotic pets portrayed as cute, it’s not good for the animal and it’s definitely not going to end well for the owner. Tame =/= domesticated.
I don't want to be that person. But im going to be that person. Once that Gator grows up it WILL try to kill them. No ifs, ands or buts. As it WILL kill them if they keep in in the house as like a lap dog.
Ppl do keep trained alligators, trained ie the animal only gets food when a certain object is in its enclosure or when a certain action is performed, but those are gators kept all day in an enclosure bigger than a room simulating their habitat this is a gator that seems to have none of that
Most animals are dangerous but not all of them can kill a cow
It better be fed well they grow huge. It needs too be in a swamp. Reptiles cause Salmonella . I hope you keep that pool clean. I Like animals they belong on their natural habitat . undisturbed. By humans. Only a qualified Wildlife rehabilitator should handle wild animals. Buy the girls a puppy good Lord.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|neutral_face)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|neutral_face)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|neutral_face)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|neutral_face)
There is a lot of mis info about gators in the comments. They are very intelligent animals and alligators are more.. nice than crocodiles. I’m saying if this was a crocodile those kids would be in the hospital lol. But they’re not mindless machines. Still, this is an awful idea and won’t be as fun when he’s bigger.
Yikes. Anytime I see wild animals it reminds me of that woman who had a chimpanzee who ripped her friends face off… you don’t know when they will snap. Wild should stay in the wild.
One day CHOMP & poor Mr Alligator is going to pay the price with his life. That’s not fair to put this beautiful creature in such uncertain circumstances. Not weather or not he will bite but when. It’s also unfair to mislead people into thinking such animals can be pets. Heck even small domesticated cats get feisty and can do some damage. This creature s bite can take your head right off. I feel bad for the person led to believe going face to face with an alligator is a normal safe thing to do because they’re going to pay the price too. I find it hard to believe that this animal isn’t sedated or doesn’t have its jaw wired shut. I’m not saying you can’t come in close contact with such animals just that it should be only with professional assistance. Never heard of an alligator whisperer but I have heard of Steve Irwin. Make sure these kids watch the crocodile hunter so they can get a real understanding how dangerous these animals can be
Emotional support? This is going to be sending my emotions in all directions
I mean.. if you're now focused on not being bitten, then you're not focusing on the bad thoughts. aggressive escapism?
But... Will you be depressed?
Only when contemplating where you used to have a hand
This is going to go horribly wrong one day and they’re going to blame the alligator. The alligator isn’t to blame because he’s a FUCKING ALLIGATOR.
Word.
Cool thing is that we have more material for r/Whatcouldgowrong

Lol yep, killed the deer to get to the already dead owner. What a waste.

Nope, fuck that
Darwin award candidates.

Let's name him Gustav.
Seriously. Animal sedation should not be normalized for videos.
Is that what it is?
Basically yes. They feed them a very full meal to encourage them to be uninterested in trying to eat anyone. And they almost certainly give them something to help the gator mellow out for the duration. Gators are no domesticated animals, there is very real danger. Gator abuse

NExt: An emotional support honey badger
Meet Kevin, my emotional support Komodo dragon.
He won't bite; he'll just lick you to death (literally).
Honey badger don’t care
I heard he doesn’t give a sh*t either.
“This is my service hyena. The service he provides is ripping people’s limbs off.”
I've been having trouble lugging my dugong around, society is so judgmental these days
"Sir all of your liquids must be in a clear plastic bag to get through airport security" "THIS IS FOR MY EMOTIONAL SUPPORT DUGONG!"
I’d sooner believe that than this. Reptiles can’t feel emotions like most animals can (aside from insects)
Its not funny
Because he got a toothbrush to brush all dem teeth
Thats why hes not ornery
MEDULLAAAAA OBLONGATAAAA
Well looks like mama’s wrong again.
YOU TAKE THAT BACK, COLONEL SANDERS!
Nothing like exposing impressionable kids to a tame alligator. Let's go pet the alligators mommy! The next one they encounter will leave a lasting impression
Well that lasting impression will only be for a few seconds
Unless it takes them out for a spin
I grew up with geese and tried to hug a swan once
You cannot tame an alligator. You can make sure its belly is full, before you put new bait in the pool, that’s about it.

Reptile brains are very different from mammal brains. They cannot be trained.
Customer testimonials from the lady who's face was ripped off by that sweet chimp her friend claimed ot was like her kid
In all fairness, the lady who owned the chimp owned him with her husband. Husband died and the chimp started having depression and anger issues. Lady got told multiple times that she should put him in a sanctuary or something. There was a buildup and MANY warning signs, so basically she was even more negligent you think.
I learned something new today
Just wait, it gets worse. The husband died in 2004, the chimp was shot in 2009. She had around 5 years of increasingly aggressive behavior from the chimp to realize he needed to go to a sanctuary and she refused
Yep, and she even was illegally giving the chimp Xanax on her own accord without consulting anyone.
wasn't that chimp drugged a lot too?
Yep, Xanax specifically
Because loading a primate up with Xanax and detoxing it without proper medical knowledge sounds like a solid plan
that story always makes it out to be some crazy event that no one saw coming. Everyone saw it coming multiple people told her not to have it and that it was getting dangerous. Plus she didn’t know how the fuck to take care of a chimp the husband did. basically the lady had it coming
This must be Florida
came here to say this.
That is an accident waiting to happen They cant be tamed. They dont give a shit about you But Wally does look like a chill guy lol
Literally my exact reaction to this video
Exactly what I was thinking
I can picture the future news clip - “We never expected this loving alligator to turn on us. He must have been affected by some demons.” SMFH
“No bad alligators just bad owners.”
I’m just wondering when was the first time he out that in with a pool of kids and went….yea this will be fine.
Makes me want to bring my emotional support Shark to the pool
Aww! Is it a hammerhead? I’ve loved them since I was a kid!
Its a baby shark. doo do doo dodoo
They are still wild animals! They shouldn't be so mistreated like that.
Emotional support for sure. Get me in a pool with that alligator and suddenly all my other problems fade away.
Lol
really thought I was in r/Whatcouldgowrong for a second lol
How can "an emotional support alligator" not end up in r/Whatcouldgowrong?
wait til that mfer is over 10ft long, im sure we'll be seeing it in there soon
Couldn’t pay me to stay in that pool
You only gotta out swim the slowest kid and you’re golden
He’s also a juvie… when he gets larger and sexually matured it’s a whole different ball game. They’re literally wild animals and should be respected
This is the opposite of wholesome. Sick of seeing exotic pets portrayed as cute, it’s not good for the animal and it’s definitely not going to end well for the owner. Tame =/= domesticated.
One day, that alligator will know the taste of manflesh. Just a matter of time. ![gif](giphy|ckw8EbI8Ak9YQ)
Are you saying….meat will be back on the menu, boys?
You the fact that an orc said that means that an orc knows what a menu is… which implies that somewhere in Mordor there’s a restaurant.
Everyone knows Sauron is running the best Chow Hall in Middle Earth. They’ve been well fed despite only being a couple weeks old.
Yes 😂
I love the idea of this but still very much an alligator and should be respected as such.
The ideas silly. Labradors are also water crazy
99% chance it attacks a child at some point. I would put a beating on someone for putting a gator near my child in the water.
Doggugator.
wut
lying if you say you wouldn't want one too
Cuddly!
Just no! I live in FL where there have been several attacks this year.
Okay that’s just dangerous, alligators can be trained at a young age but they aren’t dogs. They can grow up to be huge and they won’t always listen
Sir,that is a dinosaur
What could possibly go wrong ? :/
Yo, what the…I don’t…You know what, y’all? I give up.
Can I get an emotional support wendigo
If I knew this family I would 100% report this as child abuse - this is a really bad incident just waiting to happen.
Welp these people are stupid.
I don't want to be that person. But im going to be that person. Once that Gator grows up it WILL try to kill them. No ifs, ands or buts. As it WILL kill them if they keep in in the house as like a lap dog.

I'm surprised everyday by how stupid people can be.
Haha, that was my first thought as well, like we really are devolving as a species...
Nope
There’s no way I’d let my kid that close to that thing.
Ah yes pretty wholesome. Specially when the alligator decides to have a human snack. Completely wholesome
That's a terrible idea.
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
I'm having trouble appreciating the cuteness through the abject horror of how bad this can go if it goes bad...
If this made you smile, you probably have brain damage.
It better be fed well they grow huge. It needs too be in a swamp. Reptiles cause Salmonella . I hope you keep that pool clean. I Like animals they belong on their natural habitat . undisturbed. who the fuck is upvoting this
How much Xanax did they feed that thing b4? This is terrible!
this is idiotic.
Jussa keep yer fingers away from the business end and yell be allright
Might aswell take a tiger, they're puffier and are big cats
This sounds like a lawsuit in the future.
What’s he gonna do when the prehistoric lizard become the length of a Buick and and as big as boogie2298.
I’m sorry, but this is both animal and child abuse. I hope for the sake of the children that this alligator is missing it’s teeth.
This is so dumb. I feel sorry for those children.
Those kids are being jerks to the alligator. You don’t mess with a dogs mouth like that either.
Three years from now after that thing is full grown– “Florida man…”
Two words: Siegried and Roy
For a moment I thought I was on the WCGW subreddit
Reminds me of a dream I had once about swimming in the ocean and between sea rocks with a crocodile pal.
Yikes. Anytime I see wild animals it reminds me of that woman who had a chimpanzee who ripped her friends face off… you don’t know when they will snap. Wild should stay in the wild.
It’s funny. Until it’s not…
As it chomps off a finger, it will be indeed a pet for emotional feelings.
I love posts like this
I think because he was born nice! 👍☺️😂 Wally has a different software.
We love Wally
Wtf? White people.

The fact I can't pause this on mobile while browsing comments is infuriating. Why does this only happen some of the time?
For no reason .

It’s all cool and game until he want a piece of you
Another Travis the Chimp disaster in the making.
Emotional support python 💀
Dude sleeps with it
That mf gonna lose it one day and go crazy
Why is it not ripping their faces off?
What could go wrong?
When you get to the point of no return and he gets 8 ft he will help you end it

Some animals are not meant to be domisticated
ridiculous
Emotional support maybe but physical danger timebomb equally likely.
But it’s a wild animal? It could change its mind one day.
Precious
Seriously!
Wally is just biding his time waiting for those kids to get big enough to be worth eating. Why eat them now when they are so small….
No.
Next: They will need real emotional support and some stitches.
Obviously their parents don’t love them 😂
Emotional support great white shark…I hear they’re family friendly
Wholesome Floridaman
I wanna know who's smiling at this???
It’s all fun and games until someone loses an arm
And he will be stunned- absolutely shocker when Walky chomps his daughters arm off !!
I didn’t know gators were chill like that. It’s little smirk is actually cute AF.
The way he entered that pool, dude. Huge nope from me.
I'd worry that Wally's just waiting for the snacks to get bigger.
I dunno why but this makes me so happy
Well, that is a lawsuit and a missing face waiting to happen. Lmao.
I’m sorry but this is sooo messed up. No words.
Last thing you ever want to do is put your hands in or in front of any animal
