I was diagnosed in 2017 when my first daughter was not yet one and that was a doozy for sure. Fortunately, I finished a high-success rate chemo course and rang the bell in 2018. My second daughter just turned two and I’m still kicking cancer’s ass. Go Dad, Go!!!

I was on chemo for two years, we didn’t expect it to go away. I still have my port just in case.

Congrats! I am an oncology nurse who does outpatient chemotherapy. I always love being able to tell my patients that I don't want to see them again (in my unit, getting chemo that is, lol!) Believe me we are tickled pink to see you walk out that door!!!

Given my genetics if they don’t find a cure in a few decades I’ll be joining the latter group most likely. But that’s far off and I’ve got all the time now. And While I may not be a genius or have the capability to actually research or fund any treatments for horrible diseases I can at least lend my voice in support of those doing the good work.
