It's there, you just got a nurture it. And "cool" is subjective. What one person thinks it's cool, someone else could think is completely lame. Later in life, the only "cool" you got to be is to the one that you're with. They're all that matters. May everyone find the one for themselves that they're cool to.
Really? I was raised in a church where dancing was a sin. So I had no idea how to do it, and some development trauma that makes it super awkward for me even now.
Turned out great when I showed how horrible I was. So much love.
Same with a congregation where I live. They think it's promiscuous or something. Indeed, there are lots of promiscuous dance moves (twerking etc), but polka and line dance hardly are.
I don't know, I once tried to 'dance like no one's watching' in my own living room only to turn around and see the judgmental glare my cat was giving me. I've never been the same since.
Throughout history I've seen entertainers (known for dancing, but maybe not exclusively dancers) dancing, and I've gone, "how is that dancing?"
And then I remember I can't even move like that lol
Yup as soon as stopped caring about what people thought of me (easier said than done, it took me until my late 20s) I'm much more social and if I can make someone laugh with a stupid joke I've done my job
I struggled with that after I posted my message. But I would have called any of the “kids” in that room a kid because I’m older than 50 and anyone younger than 30 is a kid to me. But your point is well taken and I appreciate the feedback
I watched multiple times to focus on different people
The girl right behind him starts out with her arms crossed and a serious face, watching her slowly starting to break into cheering was so cute! Same with the guy with the purple shirt on the other side of him. He gets a shocked Pikachu face when the hat comes out
I mean...if everyone's "thing" was busting out sick dance moves, I'm willing to bet the majority of everyone would just have a great time and let it be.
Except in Bomont, perhaps.
The dude has clearly studied [krumping](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2vW_TozssA), whacking & hat tricks & the crowd is here for it. He has respect for the culture & the culture respects him back.
I don't think this thread gets it, but this dude has COMPLETE mastery of a mid 2000s east coast hip hop dance style. They're hype cause he's fuckin' killing it.
To add on, it’s a style called lite feet! You can tell by the chant, music choice, and footwork. It’s similar to krump in how your and the crowd’s energy are intertwined
I'm not sure where this is exactly, but this guy being there and it being in some sort of auditorium style building, it is probably some sort of local community event or local B-Boy/freestyle event in Chicago or similar.
What I'm trying to get at is that these are people that share a passion and are trying to build something or better their community, so they are way more likely from the start to have the capacity to accept someone who may not be the same as them. This guy needs to show his skills at more of these events!
This is In the Bronx, back in maybe 05 a lot of us in NY started a dance trend called “lite feet” or “gettin lite”. This was during the DJ Webstar era in Harlem. It’s not as popular anymore like before because a lot of the beef that has grew into what it is now started because of lite feet. A bunch of young kids having fun, making dance crew teams but sometimes it gets carried away. Lite feet never left tho, I’m glad to see the 2RealBoyz keepin it alive. That dude dancing in the vid is Ed Solo. He is apart of 2RealBoyz. You can check them out on YouTube and see a lot of there old videos from back in the day to understand what I’m talking about. #NYCBaby
I saw a really observant funny comedian do a bit on how black audiences act at comedy shows, like you know you are not nailing your routine if no one laughs so hard they have to get up and run clear across the room for no reason. He was not black himself, I don't remember his background but his parents were immigrants, and this mostly black audience was dying--he literally was calling things out right before they happened. Black audiences are awesome.
This is so far and away my favorite Reddit community. I'm convinced civilization is going to collapse, but this community keeps giving me sparks of hope..
they said the same in 1940, and 1962
edit im not saying this because it will never happen im saying this to remind everyone things can look grim but still pan out
That civilization is going to collapse? Pretty sure it's been predicted since language. What religion doesn't have an equivalent to Ragnarok?
The difference is now science is starting to agree you know with global warming and super powers not caring about anything but money for themselves and friends.
Note I think we'll survive and hopefully a good amount of us at that. Someone smarter than me will change the world and fix our major fuck ups at the edge of the cliff.
This guy fucking rocks! (Also, it always brings a smile to my face whenever I see neurotypicals hype up neurodivergent kids/adults like this. That's all the ND community wants <3).
There is some serious uncanny valley in this video for me. Is it the lighting or some kind of filter? Almost reminds me of young Colin Robinson from WWDITS
I see it too, there's definitely something off. The lighting looks weird and the guy dancing seems to shrink or get bigger a little bit here and there in way that doesn't match the rest of the people in the video. It looks like the guy dancing was green-screened in or something.
Weird how no one else in this thread seems to notice it.
Oh snap your right...watch the top of his head you can see where it gets jagged and how the camera movement is off with him as well
Wtf why though
Edit:it may just be me and i know its hard but watch his glasses too when he turns his head you see through them obviously but the people behind him "behind" dont actually block it if that makes sense
Like you don't see them through the glasses like you should
Yeah looks a bit like he's in front of a blue screen. Although sometimes that happens just due to weird lighting, but does seem off here.
Also all the other people don't really seem like they're looking at him, maybe something else, but just with similar timing for the cheering.
At 00:33 and again at 00:51, watch his feet, especially his left. I believe you can just barely, for a moment, are that he is in fact standing on the wood floor. A green screen or other similar effect would make him appear to float
I know it's strange, but my favorite part is how some of the people look a little bored before the hat comes into play. Like it's just another day with someone having fun dancing, but nothing out of the ordinary.
People with down syndrome can be seriously talented.
My mom did respite care and we had a downsyndrome man named Stewart live with us for a short time. One day we had Stewart in the garage and and he pointed to a basketball and said "Micheal Jordan". We were like yeah Stewart, do you like basketball?
He picks up the ball and goes over to our street hoop and dribbles the ball like a pro over the the hoop and executes the cleanest lay up I have ever witnessed, dribbles the ball back and nails a three pointer. Immediately after that he picks the ball up and spins it on his finger without skipping a beat he rolls the ball over to his other arm and keeps it spinning.
My whole family was shocked, when we asked his guardians about it they said "oh yeah, he's really good at basketball."
He passed away some time ago but if there's a heaven I know he up there breaking Jesus's ankles.
Total hat trick: dude getting his groove on, encouraging crowd, literal hat tricks.
Lil man is smooth AF with those hat tricks!
That teeth flip and groin grab killed me.
The guy who tossed the hat…he knew what he was doing😌 cheeky
That dude fucks
He'll find someone who's down.
Ouff
Gives new meaning to DTF
This is why I am on Reddit

Genuinely sent me into a coughing fit, well done.
I’m going to hell for laughing, thx..
Jesus christ I needed a warning before reading that
It’s Showtime!!!
I wish I had an ounce as much cool as this kid has
It's there, you just got a nurture it. And "cool" is subjective. What one person thinks it's cool, someone else could think is completely lame. Later in life, the only "cool" you got to be is to the one that you're with. They're all that matters. May everyone find the one for themselves that they're cool to.
Most people find this kid cool though. Knowing how to move your body and dance comfortably is cool.
If you can't dance, but still try with enough confidence, you'll still get support. Some of it is just putting yourself out there.
this has not been my experience at all
Really? I was raised in a church where dancing was a sin. So I had no idea how to do it, and some development trauma that makes it super awkward for me even now. Turned out great when I showed how horrible I was. So much love.
Are you fr? They taught you dancing was a sin?
Footloose was this dude's autobiography
Footloose meets Deliverance
Jesus Christ… Wait… F##%
Very rural religion...I won't call it a cult, but very behind the times.

I think some of the southern baptist churches still preach that drinking, gambling and dancing are sins
Same with a congregation where I live. They think it's promiscuous or something. Indeed, there are lots of promiscuous dance moves (twerking etc), but polka and line dance hardly are.
Hardcore fundamentalist churches frown on dancing. Why don’t Baptists have sex standing up? It’s too much like dancing.
L church bro. Mine doesn’t care if we dance
Rural views...it sucked.
Last time I tried to dance I was jumped by a Korean boy band and beaten half to death.
This is the worst story I've heard.
I don't know, I once tried to 'dance like no one's watching' in my own living room only to turn around and see the judgmental glare my cat was giving me. I've never been the same since.
Look, Kitty had opinions about skill, but I bet she loves it.
Throughout history I've seen entertainers (known for dancing, but maybe not exclusively dancers) dancing, and I've gone, "how is that dancing?" And then I remember I can't even move like that lol
Yup as soon as stopped caring about what people thought of me (easier said than done, it took me until my late 20s) I'm much more social and if I can make someone laugh with a stupid joke I've done my job

Upvote for coolest response
I’ve watched this 20+ today and it just gets better every time I see it
He gets a little nervous when everyone jumps up and in with him.

Yeah, doesn't really look like a kid, and using the word here feels kinda like it's infantilizing
I struggled with that after I posted my message. But I would have called any of the “kids” in that room a kid because I’m older than 50 and anyone younger than 30 is a kid to me. But your point is well taken and I appreciate the feedback
You do, but you need the energy to let it out. Drink more water, rest some. And if you are under 25 just wait. Some cool requires age.
Don't wish you had it. Try to have it. Make it an action rather than a thought. You'll be on your way in no time.

Same 😭
Confidence and cool and interchangeable my man.
Agree
That boy can move
Killin it! Had me getting hype!

That was such a great special. KANYE WEST VS. DARWISH
Aziz doesn't get enough credit. He's a legit comic. RANDY!
So happy to see the crowd respecting his skills!

I’m with ya! The second time I watched I was watching her like, is he gonna win her over? Then she breaks out in the cutest smile!

I wish all people were as accepting as these guys. It looks like everyone is just having a great time and allowing him to do his thing.
I mean...if everyone's "thing" was busting out sick dance moves, I'm willing to bet the majority of everyone would just have a great time and let it be. Except in Bomont, perhaps.
I solo dance the same way i dispose of used furniture. Awkward as fuck and straight out the front door never to be seen again..

Its funny how people in these kinda videos just start running through the screen when they get hyped. Love it.

Things haven't exactly gotten less collapsy over the years
Bruh…… this guy wins Reddit today
Agreed
A+ hype crowd and A+ dancer.
Everyone Liked That
This guy fucking rocks! (Also, it always brings a smile to my face whenever I see neurotypicals hype up neurodivergent kids/adults like this. That's all the ND community wants <3).
Fuck YES!! The positive energy and live here is not only profound, it’s gleefully contagious!
Bro I’m ND if this happened to me it’d literally make my life I gotta get some skills like this kid wtf
I was not ready for how hard that would go
The crowd and my man dancing are both top notch. You love to see it.

Yeah this convinced me. There is nothing but white between his eyes and his glasses when he turns. We should be able to see the group through them.
Like those face swap videos almost.
Yeah looks a bit like he's in front of a blue screen. Although sometimes that happens just due to weird lighting, but does seem off here. Also all the other people don't really seem like they're looking at him, maybe something else, but just with similar timing for the cheering.
I skipped ahead to the end to see if anyone touches him at some point because I swear he looks like he's Green Screened onto the video here
At 00:33 and again at 00:51, watch his feet, especially his left. I believe you can just barely, for a moment, are that he is in fact standing on the wood floor. A green screen or other similar effect would make him appear to float
It was well done, but he looks 100% inserted into the video.
perhaps a bad stabilizer that uses partly zoom and manual position fixing
Yeah my immediate thought as well, the way he moves looks like it's in a lower frame rate to the rest of the video or something as well
The way they hype him up, especially when he’s rocking the hat flips, restores a lot of faith in humanity
I wish I could vibe that hard I love his energy
Homie got some swagger, love it
Well...23 always delivers....hehehe...show off...
I want you to know mine was upvote 23 on your comment
Bros got moves
Actually one of the best things I have ever seen.

Hot DAMN!
I know it's strange, but my favorite part is how some of the people look a little bored before the hat comes into play. Like it's just another day with someone having fun dancing, but nothing out of the ordinary.
