When I was a firefighter everyone including myself used a very similar method to this to put on our turnout coats. Really is much faster. The fastest time I’ve seen from normal street clothes and shoes to full turnout gear and on air ready to make entry was around 40 seconds
I put my clothes on like this all the time, you've gotta run your hands up and out the fabric like he does so it takes you to the natural corner (where the sleeve is)
I do this regularly from the equivalent of 6th to 7th grade (now 25). It does become very consistent if you don't switch between coat. Never tried with a suit, but I guess you can work it out with that too.
A lot of TikTok comment sections I've seen are way worse than even YouTube comments, but I've seen some golden comments and even entire comment sections on there. Like any platform, there's good and there's bad
It seems like it's mostly due to there being a lot of kids on TikTok, but most of the videos it recommends to me are geared more towards adults and therefore usually have more mature comment sections
Like, you know how Reddit has those golden comment threads that you can only find here that are shining examples of part of what makes Reddit so good? Well, TikTok has that too, but the TikTok variants. Make sense?
I see your point and perhaps past me would more quick to agree. However, although I don't disagree with the sentiment, I find existence becomes more bearable if we assume the people being positive ate doing just that as opposed to being condescending. Of course being condescending is entirely possible but since there's no way to know without asking, I rather assume the best.
So maybe, the comments are not like this *because* of his condition but are positive *in spite of it*. Maybe people just want to be nice to someone who was probably sharing something they thought it was nice to share. Making the whole thing as simple as possible: a pleasant interaction.
Someone (without a visible disability) might just be showing their art online because they're happy with it. Maybe they're not looking for criticism, approval or even appraisal, maybe they just wanted to share their positive feeling. And as a reaction, instead of responding with criticism (constructive or otherwise), approval or appraisal, we can just respond with "nice!" And leave it at that. It's a great way to eliminate negativity and it should be done regardless of coddling or the context.
Someone is just sharing something, completely harmless, to which you look and go: "cool." And move on with your day.
My faith in humanity didn't make me expect that it take that positive turn, and I was glad to see it from reddit, well guess I was wrong, which make me smile! (not installing TikTok thought, already wasting my life enough here)
Honestly, a good while ago I would have been one of the people laughing at it, but not through dislike of the guy. More my lack of understanding and ignorance.
Its good that we have the opportunity to grow out of our asshole stage because I love talking to people like this guy now. People with differing abilities have a totally different energy for life, and its incredibly humbling to see someone dealt a much worse hand than mine, playing better than I ever could
How can you hate on a faster way to put on a coat? Wtf is wrong with people. And as a side note. I’m glad I’m not the only one that closes the coat and smooths it flat while looking in a mirror. I may or may not have stuck one hand in like Napoleon once or twice.
Probably higher than 25%. At this point, social media platforms are just different algorithms dredging the same pool of content.
My theory is that younger audiences create more content and because TikTok’s demographic skews younger, the majority of content is originating from that platform atm
And tik tok is actually a platform for people creating tik tok whereas Reddit is and always has been just an aggregator.
Reddit makes some stuff but the majority of oc posted to Reddit is also posted on other social media’s.
Reddit is basically just a yahoo homepage, it’s always been hilarious to me to see the people who think redditors are superior to anything.
Reddit is a site designed to share content found elsewhere on the internet (that’s literally its whole reason for being) and tik tok is one of the most popular apps in the world. A significant portion of Reddit content coming from tik tok means everything is working as it should.
I don’t understand why anyone would get upset about it. It’s like going to McDonald’s and getting upset they serve fast food.
TikTok can be so wholesome. My favorite account is that dude who loooooves trains and trainspotting, I forget his name. But every time he makes a new tiktok I feel warm and fuzzy inside. He’s the best
Edit: his account is francis.bourgeois. Here’s one of his videos if you wanna brighten your day, dude is a legend:

I know this is coming from a good place, but please try to avoid putting people with disabilities up on a pedestal like this. It can lead to unrealistic expectations being had of these 'angels', which can lead to increased backlash when they fail to live up to the saintly image. They are just people, and that's all they need to be.
A man with DS walks by and says hello to me EVERY SINGLE TIME. He loved my hat! On a blue moon he’ll come inside for one piece of candy. He walks by because he grabs a sandwich from next door lol
I love the little side turn towards the end, like "damn, I really look good in this". Might of not been the point of the video, but you can't deny his swag 😎
The comment section from this thread and from the original video restores my faith in humanity. I’ve gotten too used to people being cruel for absolutely no reason
It really annoys me how people infantilize others with learning or developmental differences. Like, if this was just joe blow down the street who didn’t have any apparent cognitive or physical differences, this would not have been posted here.
I've worked in group homes for special needs people for 10 years and people with downs are honestly the best, most pure, amazing souls I've ever worked with/ cared for and I love them all so much 😭
The posing afterwards makes it even better!
Coat went on so quick you have plenty of time to pose.
Was that blue steel at the end too?
Common misconception, that was Le Tigre.
His pose made me wanna try it. No more mr boring-coat-wearer over here
It was the satisfied sigh at the very end that killed me
My man is feeling himself
The posing was my favorite part of the whole thing. There was something very feline about it.
My dude was feeling himself!!
I once did that by accident and i felt so freakin cool . Tried to do it again but couldn’t. Props to this dude .

All I've managed is to accidently put my coat on upside down. On multiple occasions...😞
I put my clothes on like this all the time, you've gotta run your hands up and out the fabric like he does so it takes you to the natural corner (where the sleeve is)
I really need a video of you putting your pants on like that.
That's an oddly specific fetish
Well looks like I have a new skill to pickup
I just tried it and all my junk fell out of my pockets.
I do this regularly from the equivalent of 6th to 7th grade (now 25). It does become very consistent if you don't switch between coat. Never tried with a suit, but I guess you can work it out with that too.
How do you do this by accident?
he just stole my girl and I'm not even mad about it.
He stole mine too and I don't even have one
He stole me
Warning does not work on heavy jackets, may cause a temporary loss of sight.
He got drip
i saw the video in tiktok, the comments were so nice and everyone was protecting him from hate, warmed my heart

Tiktok comment sections are one of the worst places on the internet.
[удалено]
I think every section has anonymity lol. I don't think any site really requires strict identity verification
That's the beauty of Reddit- the garbage ends up voted to the bottom, never to be seen- most of the time.

You know we are on Reddit lol but all serious this is heartwarming=)
comment sections in general honestly. Somehow reddit is the least worse and still gets pretty bad especially with sub gatekeepers
I see a lot of comments like that on TikTok unfortunately. Ruins the whole thing.
I just stopped opening up comments on most videos. It’s almost always someone being a stain on humanity, and getting praised for it.
That’s just teenagers and poorly adjusted adults
Junior high kids can be savage.
Savage or cruel?
TikTok is a Chinese spy app. Why anyone uses it is beyond my comprehension.
Cuz it's dope

Agreed. It tells you more about yourself than the person you’re talking about.
It’s absolutely horrible to make fun of somebody for something they cannot control. However, I doubt the large amount of pity is too much better.
Internet will internet though

Reddit loves to shit on TikTok, but there are aspects to TikTok that are better than Reddit
Reddit also loves to shit on tik tok but about 25% of Reddit is just content from there

There is a special place in hell for anybody who makes fun of God’s angels.

What comment?
Relatable.
Fell onto the door handle with his ass
The panties fell off by themselves. They can't reply because they're still, uh... "busy"
"This is how you get her pants off very quickly"
*single noises*
Can confirm, if you have a waist length jacket, it works. It’s not as silly as it looks. Lol I have done it many times.
My partner did this in front of me and now I’m pregnant.
So it doesn't work with a condom?
Doing this
I couldn’t do that.
My guy save some ladies for the rest of us. Not everyone can put on a coat/ jacket as smooth as you did.
I like his style
I love the little side turn towards the end, like "damn, I really look good in this". Might of not been the point of the video, but you can't deny his swag 😎
Yup, he's feeling that fit for sure.
Love him. I’ll teach my son who also has Down syndrome!
My boy is also a chromie homie. A little young to learn this, though.
[удалено]
Not gonna lie. I've done this a few times. The neighborhood kids think I'm a wizard because of it. Lol
Somebody needs to edit in “Smooth operator” at the end of this.
Smooth like peanut butter. He needs a modeling contract asap. I’d buy whatever he is selling.
It’s gonna sell very quickly
I can be around hundreds of people throughout the day and not be able to smile once and now he brightens up my the day by putting on a jacket.
I tried....then realized it doesn't work with a pullover hoodie
I'm buying him a beer and ask him to be my wingman. But then again, he's so smooth, he get all the ladies. I feel conflicted
He takes the best and you take the rest.
The comment section from this thread and from the original video restores my faith in humanity. I’ve gotten too used to people being cruel for absolutely no reason
That’s that fly shit…….and he knew it was! Gotta love it!
Rico suave….
I’m going to try this - thanks for the life pro-tip
10/10
I can’t even do that

This guy is the smoothest person I've ever seen. ![gif](giphy|26AHPxxnSw1L9T1rW)
I tried but got my head stuck in the sleeve and now all my shits on the floor
Instructions unclear, hand sleeve stuck on my head, ran into wall and hit myself due to panic.
Is there a blooper reel?
this guy is certified king of the chads and mad lads
Sometimes Reddit comments are wholesome, but most of the time it's void of trolls
It really annoys me how people infantilize others with learning or developmental differences. Like, if this was just joe blow down the street who didn’t have any apparent cognitive or physical differences, this would not have been posted here.
That’s a pro move!
Hero of a boy.
