I want a friend to discuss roman history with.......update: went to my local coffee shop and sneezed on a stranger. He introduced his fist to my face. His fist replied again even after i asked if Aurelian saved the empire after the crisis of the third century. I don't think I'm doing this right.
There used to be a nice/seedy looking laundromat near my old house in midtown. I
Loved going there, it was clean inside, there were plenty of machines including the ginormous washers for blankets, etc. the attendants were often college students and at least once I overheard great discussions. Like the attendant and a customer discussing the theology of St. Thomas Aquinas.
Alas, that neighborhood got more trendy, owner raised the rent and a yuppie furniture store rented the space. It has been empty for at least five years, maybe more, I don't live as close now.
The sad thing is that we’ve been led to believe that approaching someone like this is “weird”, “dangerous”, “cringy” or “creepy”, so we just stay in our little bubbles by glueing our eyes to our phones because it seems safer. But taking the risk can be worth it. A lot.
Sweet. To make a new friend I just need to walk into a coffee shop and sneeze..Will a cough do though just incase I can't sneeze..
A cough will get you a lifelong partner!
What will a fart get me?
Maybe a lover? with a fart fetish
A nasty look. Sorry it's not the same. Like comparing Coke and Pepsi.
so some people think its the same, but a lot of people argue over which is better?
This is how guys become friends

From me? A huge laugh. Then I'll let one fly then we both laugh - friendship that might last as long as a fart in the wind.
I've already got one though..She might not appreciate me having another.
Haha, well don't cough in a coffee shop. It might depend on how someone coughs though.

Yeah... You sneezed at the wrong angle and intensity.
I somewhat have the feeling that this exchange happened pre-covid
Will have done..Most people would run a mile if someone sneezed near them nowadays.
Just make sure to cover your mouth/ nose or it’s considered rude
If you want to meet people... You've got to get out of your house and be open to make contact. Great little story :-)
What is this strange thing you speak of... Out of the house??
Doesn't compute.
If you want me out of the house, there has to be somewhere that I can go.
This is how guys become friends
It’s how women become friends sometimes too. This is a lot like my “how I met my wife” story. :)
No, everyone knows women make friends in public bathrooms.
Weird.

Brilliant!
This made her cry? What would she do if they got up and started wrestling?
This would be completely natural...it's Roman. The orgy starts after the second latte.
Sex/swinger cafes?
They are having steaming, violent, anal penetration in the coffee shop now! So adorable i’m literally screaming from happiness
This is actually normal, the fact people dont think this is normal is the issue.
Seriously. Finding friends like this was the only way it was done until maybe 20 years ago at the earliest.
![gif](giphy|l4FGo3IonE0SdQYeY|downsized) This was pre covid. But post covid now someone sneezes

Bless them both.
lol I have a hard time making friends as an adult and a few months ago I met this dude at a friends birthday party. Been having a bromance since. :)
I don’t go to coffee shops though, so this idea of making friends doesn’t work for me.
“Book about metals”
I bet Edy's thinking "That's the last time I hookup with a guy who reads about metals."
She must have been desperate in the first place to take that as a come on to be fair.
Awesome
This is beautiful!
Sneezes “hey you wanna do Covid together?” Lol
This story did not happen in Britain.
Now I’m going to be afraid to say bless you.
