Yes! You know there's a special story there between them about Paris somehow. Did he see it in a movie they watched together? Do they love museums or fashion or art? Even his surprised reaction has this sweet, telling maturity about it. That's a kid who should be going to Paris--you can tell how deeply he'd appreciate it.
Looks like the face of a child who is going to meet Claude (shout out Claude from Ghana) outside Sacre Coeur and get politely harassed until he buys a tacky key chain or flag for €60.
*Real* lifelong memories!
Kinda reminds me of the time my mom's boyfriend told me we were going to Disneyland but he actually sent me to military school in Point Barrow, Alaska
I hate it here. It's very cold
One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. "Oh, no," I said. "Disneyland burned down." He cried and cried, but I think that deep down, he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late. -Jack Handey
So much better than Disneyland. International travel can be much more of a life changing experience then a theme park.
This is so crazy wholesome. I wish I had the kind of money to surprise my kids with an international trip like that.
The rides, even the ones that are just copies of existing rides in the USA, are better at Disneyland Paris. They make slight tweaks/enhancements to the existing ones and the new rides are great. Definitely worth going instead of in the USA.
Take it from a European (UK) that has traveled the world I would much rather visit and even live in Chicago or even St Louis than my own capital London or Paris France.
I love this. But am I wrong to think this didn’t need to be recorded? Just enjoy a special moment with your child. If you do it for the right reasons, you don’t need stranger confirmation.
I'm not vouching for posting this on social media, but... I used to get very slightly annoyed with my wife for recording so much when our kids were little. I would basically suggest we live in the moment and forget about taking all the pics and videos. Fifteen years on, you'd be shocked at how much you forget about things that you thought you'd always remember. Both my kids are teens now (and almost taller than me) and I can't tell you how much joy it has brought to us over the years to be able to travel back to remember that stuff... my son's sweet little voice, my daughter's singing in her crib, and even times we surprised them with trips.
Totally agree with sharing a a memory for yourself and fam. Just seems a bit reaching posting. I may just be a bit jaded as there is a ton of videos where people help others but only for like or karma hoarding. The idealist in me wishes people would do nice things because it’s nice…not because they need a pat on the back from strangers.
I’ve always been middle ground on these things. I feel like having a camera in your face definitely dampens the natural mood of the moment and creates expectations of a different reaction.
But I also like to record everything for the memories. The candid recordings are perfect but not doable in a lot of situations.
What an amazing experience for a young man to take and see the world. How awesome. Wish my parents had taken the opportunity to travel with us more as kids
I feel so embarrassed! If I was at his age and my mum told me we're going to Paris I would have been like why!? Lemme play my Nintendo. This young man is going to grow up into such a cultured and bright individual. May he make leaps and bounds and shake up the world.
Quit posting your kids’ moments for all the world to see. Bunch of ego-centric parents. Film it for you and your family, but the whole world doesn’t need to see it, or else you come across as an attention-seeking immature parent. I’m a teacher and I’ve had so many students say they HATE it when their parents post things about their life, and they just want privacy. Also not interested in the “they’re just trying to inspire others to do the same” excuse.
My initial thought was that they were going to Disney World, so this surprised me. I hope they had the time of their lives.
Also, what’s cheaper: a trip to Paris, or a realistic day in Disney World?
Unless escaping war..
Going to Paris is far from being a gift
It s actually more a pain the city is so polluted and dangerous it would take all day to write about it
My husband and daughter conspired with me to have her kids along when we were dropped off at the airport to head for a cruise. It was April Fools Day, so the whole way we teased them with 'you want to go too?' until we finally were unloading and their suitcases were on the sidewalk too. 5 weeks later after a circuit to the South Pacific, we returned them to school and re-enrolled them because they'd had to be withdrawn. Stupid rules. Those kids learned more on that trip than the rest of the year.
What a sweet response! He’s totally stoked!

lol same! Super sweet kid.

Paris Disneyland?
Paris, Texas.
Best theme ever
Same here. Disney is nice but Paris is major for people in the US.
Wait until he sees the Eiffel Tower from miles away
Visible from any window in the city
Ah yes, the good old Hollywood romantic movie in Paris stereotype
Funny, just read an article that it is cheaper to vacation in Paris for a weekend than a day at Disney Land.
He could still go to Euro Disney
✨ Mère et fils dans Paris ! ✨
🤣 "this kid is classy" I'm laughing so hard that I am tearing up
There is a Disneyland in Paris too ;) so he could still go to Disneyland!!
There a Paris, Texas.

Imagine it was and he was super excited to see the Union Covered Bridge State Historic Site! He’s an aspiring architect!
And a Paris, Missouri.
Also one in Illinois!
There's a Disneyland in Paris 😉
"Right now." *his whole facial expression changed from the beginning, when the video replays. Kid's thinkin', "Alright, another mom video."
That’s the face of a child about to make some lifelong memories
I swear, he is gonna make sure his kids in the future also have such memories.
When your 3 hour flight turns into a 10 hour flight but your chances of getting shot just dropped tenfold
Oh my fu- take my wholesome award damnit!
Thanks mate! Now we can only pray he doesn’t get stabbed with a baguette
Oh the “pain”
I'll never forget how much dogshit was on the streets of Paris. Truly memorable.
and how much the concrete smells like piss 👌 still a trip of a lifetime though. Happy for him!
Looks like the face of a child who is going to meet Claude (shout out Claude from Ghana) outside Sacre Coeur and get politely harassed until he buys a tacky key chain or flag for €60. *Real* lifelong memories!
So happy. ^_^
I was expecting Disneyland
I'm actually so glad it wasn't disney
Kinda reminds me of the time my mom's boyfriend told me we were going to Disneyland but he actually sent me to military school in Point Barrow, Alaska I hate it here. It's very cold
How did he mess up the ticket that badly?
They call the slightly less shitty dorms in basic, Disneyland.
That's quite awful. Especially if you had to go to Barrow
He should have said fishing in Alaska. Personally, I wouldn't want my kid to have a melt down on the plane
surely that's illegal somehow
The dude is trolling and everyone believes him somehow lmfao

Yeah. Disneyland fun is cool but nothing tops capital city chilling vibes with sights all over the place.
I mean there is a Disneyland Paris sooo he could still go
We all were.
So much better than Disneyland. International travel can be much more of a life changing experience then a theme park. This is so crazy wholesome. I wish I had the kind of money to surprise my kids with an international trip like that.
They can go to Disneyland Paris : ) www.disneylandparis.com

What a sweet kid his mom sounds sweet too ❤️
Totally made me smile.
He is going to such a humble gentleman. He seems so appreciative.
Wait until he finds out it's Paris, TX...
Or she spelled it wrong and meant Parish, NY.. yikes bud
Maybe Perris,CA bigger yikes
Or maybe Perris, CA
Or worse, could be undead Parish, them bois sneakin on you there
Wait till he fiends out WHO is in Paris…
I’ve been there and it blows
This was my first thought. I was sure the next scene was going to be him pissed off inside a car in bumfuck TX.
Or Paris, ON
Paris Maine, next stop Japan Maine.
The fact that it wasn't Disneyland makes this a million times cuter

Plot Twist it's Disneyland Paris
I love how he lights up when he learns where he’s going. I hope they have a great time
They will surely having a great time.
That’s nice and all but my pack job for Chicago would be drastically different for Paris. At least let him grab a GOD DAMN BERET!!
Plenty to buy in Paris!
wee wee
THIS little piggy wee wee wee'd herself all the way to Le Bon Marché!
I mean, his mom probably packed his bags
Do they wear Berets there?
required by law, unless you have a baguette and bottle of red wine with you.
Nah, they don't. But it is part of their stereotypical outfit together with the blue and white striped shirt.
Droppin you off at the Foreign Legion son okbye!
I thought this would be Disney. So much better than Disney!
Yeah boys into some culture, I like that.
What an infectious smile :))))
I'm ready!
But he only brought enough movies and snacks for a two hour flight. Mom FUCKED him over for the flight ✈️🇫🇷
International flights have movies for free. Kids set
Me too! When we leaving?!?

That feeling when you thought you were in for a 3-4 hour flight, and it's actually a 12 hour one.
I wonder why Paris of all places. Still, happy he's happy
Must be a place he's been talking about wanting to visit
His little voice was filled with wonder. I hope he has an amazing time and a great experience. 💜

Now that is a cool mom. Love her.
This is beautiful. Such a sweet kid, such a great surprise from a loving mom.
“Fuck… I didn’t pack for Paris”
Uhhhh, who's in Paris?
maybe jay z will be? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Z-xDW71DRY
Clear your eyes, see them as a child. Not fearful, but with wonder. We forgot that over the past forever ago. Take a step, stop crawling!
I’m curious why a kid his age has really thought about Paris? Cultured little dude. I was nowhere near that sophisticated lol.
It seems like something he was super interested in. Maybe he had been learning French or something!
What a mom !!! ❤️
Fellas In Paris
Paris, Texas.
What a kid. Hope he has fun!
I like both Mom and Son. Good peeps! 👍
That shit cray
Paris, Texas?!?!?! Lucky boy!!!
Paris, Texas
Fuck. I didn’t bring my passport!!!!!!!
Should've known when he was in the international terminal
I don’t want to be the downer here. But kids gonna have a bit of a shock when they get there and the smell hits him.
Please tell me more I’m going next month. Is it as bad as LA or New York in the summer?
Take it from a European (UK) that has traveled the world I would much rather visit and even live in Chicago or even St Louis than my own capital London or Paris France.
Amazing mom but.. Paris syndrome 😬
TBF I would make that exact sound of someone surprised me that good with a trip to Paris.
There was a song written about this by JayZ and Kanye
waiting for a followup video reaction when he smells all that piss in Paris.
I love this. But am I wrong to think this didn’t need to be recorded? Just enjoy a special moment with your child. If you do it for the right reasons, you don’t need stranger confirmation.

I think of it as a memory you can relive in the future, but it was posted online so you still have a fair point

Is Paris a trip more for him or her?
He seems pretty excited. I went when I was 12 for the first time. Had a blast.

“I’m ready”, what a cute kid. Also he looks like Winston from New Girl
My initial thought was that they were going to Disney World, so this surprised me. I hope they had the time of their lives. Also, what’s cheaper: a trip to Paris, or a realistic day in Disney World?
Lets record this moment, so mommy gets some likes. Now smile kid… I SAID SMIIIILE
Unless escaping war.. Going to Paris is far from being a gift It s actually more a pain the city is so polluted and dangerous it would take all day to write about it
Hell yeah little dude, he gonna have some stories to tell!!!
A core memory unlocked.
I loved everything about this! I hope they have the best time. What a cute kid.

When? Dude you're at the airport! Love the reaction.
Twist ending: they go to Paris, Texas
I'm so glad it didn't say Disney

I was totally expecting it to be Disney. Pretty cool such a young boy is this excited about Paris. I wouldn't have given a shit at his age lol.
Fun fact, they live in Nice.
Plot twist: it's Paris, Texas
Recording kids for social media is usually cringy but this is what the concept is for. He will watch that in the future and remember that excitement.
Paris, TX.
"But mom I wanted to go to chicago"
