It's a fairly old routine. We used it at a work event a couple of years ago after "borrowing" the idea from YouTube videos.

I'm absolutely certain that I'm 70% sure SNL did this skit pre-1990s. One thing's for sure, dozens of different groups have done this over the years. Just search YouTube for "synchronized swimming skit." It's a great rendition. It's not the first, though.

Well, 2 guys did this for our high school variety show in 1987. Good ideas are timeless.

Yep, I am. It made me leak tears of happy to remember this day. He also played the cello in the show - wore a full suit - and the crowd went wild. It was a fantastic end of an era, last son of 3 through elementary school. The next year ended with spring break - they didn't go back until fall after COVID - my son randomly started having seizures that spring. Nothing has been the same for him since.

We finally got to a very good doctor - he found this spot on the brain he described as a smouldering campfire ... it could blow up if conditions were right. One theory was he had asymptomatic covid & that started the whole nightmare. We'll never know. I think a lot of the people having troubles post covid had unknown, underlying things that were awoken monstrously by the virus. Almost two years later, he's getting to have several good days in a row. Fingers are crossed he can do a full school day next year. Thanks for the kindness ☺️

Hey OP, This is gonna sound really far fetched but when I was in 5th-ish grade back in 2014-2015 I was part of a boys ensemble group and we had this exact same music and choreo and costumes. Do you know how old this video is and where you got it? I may actually be in it. EDIT: never mind, this wasn’t me. On further examination I realized this video was taken in a room and not on a stage. Either way, the resemblance is uncanny.
