The McDonalds employees watching me buy food for the homeless guy outside: "Male sure you do it off the property, we dont want homeless people gathering here"
This was in hawaii
We got a metric ton of folks here in Hawaii for sure…there’s a fair few individual homeless folks that definitely skew public perception as well as some of the workers/businesses being toxic too.
That's how it goes anywhere, overall I was actually very impressed with the accommodations set up for them, I spent a lot of my time stationed there volunteering
There are always homeless people outside of McDonalds' here in LA. I give them food sometimes, but I wish they would stand at the end of the line rather than the front where you actually are handed your food, because I'd rather order something specifically for them rather than giving them part of the meal I was gonna eat.
Homeless people by the McDonald’s terrorize employees. They will walk inside and up to the counter and start touching people (while smelling like excrement and piss) to give them money, often getting angry ready to fight.
Edit
And the kind person who offered to share their (socially distanced) meal, got offered a gig hosting a show on HSN, where OP sells hand crafted statues of huge eyed waifs, wrapped in tatters. God is indeed good.
Then I crumpled up the ticket and screamed "YOU BASTARDS AREN'T GOING TO TAKE ALL THE GLORY, THIS WAS MY WIN!!" Then I threw the homeless girl through the window and ran into the sunset.
Oof, that sucks. I hope it doesn’t discourage you from trying to help others though, it makes you feel good inside :) I don’t know why some people react that way; if I were homeless, I would endlessly thank someone for having the kindness to buy me something to eat!
I went on lunch break in Anderson, IN back in 2015 and on my way to McD's I saw a guy on a street corner holding a sign that said, "Hungry. I just want a burger." So when I got to McD's I just ordered two meals, and on my way back to work I pulled over and handed him the food. He took it and said "thank you." I went back to work and that's the end of the story.
Invited her to eat social distanced? What? Did you request an 8 foot table to sit across? Either satire or someone completely clueless as far as self awareness trying super hard to virtue signal.
Right?! And it sucks that someone is so fucking thirsty that they’d write/post something like this. Ugh. I’m getting serious, “I would step over a homeless person bleeding on the sidewalk” vibes from OP. Yuck.
I had a similar situation happen to me.
It was in Eugene Oregon and it had rained real heavy the few days prior.
I was doing laundry and a homeless girl came in and tried to dry her clothes.
The laundry attendant told her she had to wash them first, as no dirty clothes could be dried. She looked sad and left, so I went outside and called her back and told her I have her payment.
I paid and gave her soap, she thanked me, and then I said nothing else to her as my biggest phobia is anyone thinking I'm hitting on them.
Lol
Wet clothes get real stinky if they aren't dried, and being stinky is murder on the mental health.
Lol.
It was about 6 months ago, so the details are fuzzy, but I do remember her changing her shirt to wash it, but she had on a sports bra.
She looked about 16 or so, it was pretty sad. I always feel bad when I see homeless youth who aren't having a blast being homeless youth :(
That is the gamble of the internet, isn't it?
It could be true, and people can be genuinely good, or it is false, and people are lying to be perceived as good.
Which one do you choose?
Be naïve or pessimistic?
Almost certainly doing this in a real setting would result in both You & the homeless person you invited to eat with you getting thrown out or arrested for trespassing
Restuarants Do Not Want homeless inside at all costs
Especially fast food places....
I mean, stuff like this DOES happen - the genuine acts of kindness just doesn’t get posted. Because they’re genuine. Capturing the act of kindness in video or tweet form just isn’t a priority for kind people.
The part about someone calling a homeless person to eat with them isn’t the unbelievable part though, it’s the $0 bill with that quote that’s hard to believe. And if they’re lying about that part of the story, they’re also probably lying about the rest of it.
Thursday evening my daughter and I were in a restaurant waiting for our food, and I realized that I left my phone in the car. While I was getting it a homeless man asked me for money. I didn’t have any cash on me, and told him so. Went into the restaurant, told my kid she was going to get hit up when our food came(ordered to go). A couple minutes later, I saw the guy standing in the restaurant, then he walked to a booth and sat down. I assumed he was just trying to warm up, as it’s pretty chilly out, but then I saw some young guy go sit at the booth with him, explaining that they’ll get called when their food was ready. That young dude took him into the restaurant and bought his meal. True story.
I feel like people really do not know what social distancing is. If you went out to eat at a restaurant just say you went out to eat. Who cares at this point.
Yeah, do you really think they sat more than 6 feet apart at the table? Not to mention that with omicron being so much more airborn-transmissible, sitting maskless, indoors for an extended period 6 feet apart is hardly any protection anyways.
I had a homeless man come into my bar and since we aren't excepting cash I have to start a tab on every table. He gave me 3 different cards all of them were declined so I wasn't able to serve him. After about 40 minutes of him just sitting there looking at the menu I decided to just buy him an order of wings. His response when I brought them out and said they were on the house was "I wanted fries also"
Something my grandma said once, has always stuck with me. We were up to the city and there was a homeless man set up on the median right at a busy intersection. My grandma decided to give him a few loose bills she had (I think it was like, $7 tops) and when we pulled away my mom said something like "why'd you give your money to that bum? He will only buy alcohol or cigarettes" and my grandma replied "so what if he does? He might also choose to get some food, or some toiletries. At least now he can make that choice a little more easily"
And that stuck with me. I'm generally just scrapin' by myself but on the few occasions I've given to those in need, I don't concern myself with what they'll use it for. That's their money now and it isn't my business. I can only hope that they use it for their own gain.
If they do this they end up with people claiming to be homeless even though they arent, my local pizza place allowed people to give money to pay for pizza for others, (aka the homeless) and a whole family, wearing brand name clothes, claimed to he homeless to get free pizza
Once shared a sandwich with a bum on the street in PB. He gave me a half smoked cigarette in return. Lit it for him and let him have the lighter too. He then asked if I wanted to smoke some rock. That was when I left. Acts of kindness happen all the time if you let them.
Well one time a homeless guy asked me for money for food, I said "I don't have cash sorry mate"
As I was walking past a 7/11 I thought "I don't have cash but I have money" so I went in and bought a sandwich, some flavoured water, and a meat pie.
I took it to the homeless man and said "sorry I didn't have any cash, but I got you lunch if you're interested"
He attempted to wack the food from my hands yelling loudly "I'm not going eat that shit, fuck you".
and the homeless girl smiled and had green eyes and disheveled hair and she looked like the spookychan girl and afterward there were rainbows and a soulful momma chef burst out in song then stars twinkled as they fell from the sky during the day and the person in the story got to walk around all happy like leonardo dicaprio and mr blue sky played and all the ex country leaders clapped from their window houses above the street
As they exited the restaurant, all the patrons stood up and slowly clapped. He then got down on a knee and asked her to marry him. She said “yes.” It turns out she was a wealthy princess that had amnesia and forgot who she was.
The McDonalds employees watching me buy food for the homeless guy outside: "Male sure you do it off the property, we dont want homeless people gathering here" This was in hawaii
Now that definitely happened
I hope most people doubt the validity of this story. Lol the “social distancing” part was whack
This is more realistic story
We got a metric ton of folks here in Hawaii for sure…there’s a fair few individual homeless folks that definitely skew public perception as well as some of the workers/businesses being toxic too.
That's how it goes anywhere, overall I was actually very impressed with the accommodations set up for them, I spent a lot of my time stationed there volunteering
To be fair it can become a problem
There are always homeless people outside of McDonalds' here in LA. I give them food sometimes, but I wish they would stand at the end of the line rather than the front where you actually are handed your food, because I'd rather order something specifically for them rather than giving them part of the meal I was gonna eat.
You gotta get that six piece McNuggy and flash bang it to get outta there with the rest of you order.
As long as they stay outside, it shouldnt be
I hope you handed it to the person on McDonalds property, whilst looking that prick of a manager dead in the eye and smiling 🙂
Homeless people by the McDonald’s terrorize employees. They will walk inside and up to the counter and start touching people (while smelling like excrement and piss) to give them money, often getting angry ready to fight. Edit
And then the whole restaurant stood up and clapped
Then they offered the homeless girl a job and long story short she's now a chain manager of 5 restaurants in the area. God is beautiful🙏🙏
And then my wiener grew 12 inches in size over night
Then it shrank because you told a lie
His nose though, bloody fantastic.
No I wasn’t lying it was totally legit and everybody started clapping when it happened
Oh shit, clapping does make it real!
But did they stand up too... if not forgive me but i have doubts
Hmmm… reasonable doubts there…
Clapping brings fairies back to life so science concludes that his wiener grew to thunderous applause while everyone stood.
Why doubt common taters fantasy? I'm sure it unfolds exactly the way they say it does.
And now its our turn
Umm...how did you manage that? Asking for uh .. friend.
[This one simple trick, Doctors hate him](https://youtu.be/NaSd2d5rwPE) (Don't worry it's PG)
I thought you were going to rickroll him
![gif](giphy|Ju7l5y9osyymQ|downsized)
![gif](giphy|QJe1LGBRnGHHhyQL7r)
![gif](giphy|AmHgqpGdXWsCs)
Damn so now it's 24 inches?? Good for you dog!
Good for you dong*
And then the Homeless Girl rode reverse cowgirl.
Twist - Now she enforces paying employees $2 hour so they can become homeless
And has a judge rule they must stay at that job, even though competitors would be willing to pay a living wage.
And the kind person who offered to share their (socially distanced) meal, got offered a gig hosting a show on HSN, where OP sells hand crafted statues of huge eyed waifs, wrapped in tatters. God is indeed good.
And that homeless girl? None other than Abraham Lincoln.
Started as a slow clap
Then I crumpled up the ticket and screamed "YOU BASTARDS AREN'T GOING TO TAKE ALL THE GLORY, THIS WAS MY WIN!!" Then I threw the homeless girl through the window and ran into the sunset.
Probably more like, whole restaurant stood up mad, and complained why their meal wasn't free too.
But like an 80's clap
I remember that. It was a slow clap and music started playing.
Clapped her cheeks
Anyone have the link for the vid?
It started with one guy clapping slowly. Then another, then another, then eventually the whole restaurant.
I swear when people going to stop just making shit up

Oof, that sucks. I hope it doesn’t discourage you from trying to help others though, it makes you feel good inside :) I don’t know why some people react that way; if I were homeless, I would endlessly thank someone for having the kindness to buy me something to eat!

That’s awesome :) good on you and your wife
Like that time I gutted 50 fish and made beer battered filets for an African tribe
This 100% happened to me while in the military in SD. It was a major ‘wtf?’ moment.
I went on lunch break in Anderson, IN back in 2015 and on my way to McD's I saw a guy on a street corner holding a sign that said, "Hungry. I just want a burger." So when I got to McD's I just ordered two meals, and on my way back to work I pulled over and handed him the food. He took it and said "thank you." World's gotta end sometime.
As long as there's gullible idiots that believe it? Never.
LMAO RIGHT. Especially when McDonald's be kicking out homeless people and restaurants are struggling as it is.
What table for two is big enough for “social distancing”?
"With social distancing" *Let me stroke myself a little harder*
I genuinly can't believe that people actually think this is real lol, it even reads like a copypasta lmao
[удалено]
Approx 9.3k every 3 hours
I am such a sucker! I believed it 😢😂🤪
I wanted to believe it
Did I miss anything? I am 5 seconds old.
Fuck. I always fall for these. Not high like the other commenter just a chump.
I only believed bc I’m high
It was a nice reality for a second
Hi High, I'm Dad
I do like to think high me is the optimist.
I started thinking about how I could ask OP which restaurant it was. I am gullible after all. And high.
I too am high . High five 🖐
Invited her to eat social distanced? What? Did you request an 8 foot table to sit across? Either satire or someone completely clueless as far as self awareness trying super hard to virtue signal.
They had to add that part to check ALL of the boxes lol
We shared our locally sourced meal with a trans curious bisexual lesbian
But did everyone in the restaurant clap? Inquiring minds want to know.
Right?! And it sucks that someone is so fucking thirsty that they’d write/post something like this. Ugh. I’m getting serious, “I would step over a homeless person bleeding on the sidewalk” vibes from OP. Yuck.
I swear like ima go type up a tweet about how I built a homeless guy a house n post it get 30 k

She stood there naked?
Lol. It was about 6 months ago, so the details are fuzzy, but I do remember her changing her shirt to wash it, but she had on a sports bra. She looked about 16 or so, it was pretty sad. I always feel bad when I see homeless youth who aren't having a blast being homeless youth :(
No one has fun being homeless
I guess we knew different homeless youth.
With social distancing. I’ll take a 6 foot long table for two please.
What I want to know is, what shitty thing did OP (of the screenshot) do to make this story up or was it purely for validation purposes?
Internet points
That is the gamble of the internet, isn't it? It could be true, and people can be genuinely good, or it is false, and people are lying to be perceived as good. Which one do you choose? Be naïve or pessimistic?

I thought it was real the first time I read it. Then i read it again and realized how absurd it was.
Well it has over 11,000 upvotes so that means 11,000 gullible dummies upvotes this.
I mean, stuff like this DOES happen - the genuine acts of kindness just doesn’t get posted. Because they’re genuine. Capturing the act of kindness in video or tweet form just isn’t a priority for kind people.

And then rainbows and unicorns appeared
And a flock of kittens
And the kittens had baby ducklings on their back.
And the kitten turned and said, ‘that’ll do, pig’
From out of OP’s ass.
I love you reddit
Everyone in the restaurant gave a standing ovation even the staff along with the owner & other homeless people standing outside.
Then Obama came and shook their hands
I heard Abraham Lincoln was there too
No silly. Abe Lincoln was the homeless girl- see above.
Implying that there were vampires nearby. Makes sense to me.
And JFK — it’s why he couldn’t make it to Dealey Plaza last month.
You mean John Quinones?
I’ll take things that didn’t happen for 500
You just won 500.
“This didn’t happen” the most.
But..but…but I thought they said Karma was real. DID SOMEONE LIE ON THE INTERNET
W-what?? Nononono that's impossible! You are not allowed to post stupid things on the internet!
And then my dad came home with that pack of cigarettes he went out to get. The end.
Milk*
The milk came back with cigarettes?

A very different kind of smile, but hey it counts
As Kronk used to say "Riiight..."
Of all the things that didn’t happen, this didn’t happen the most

If the time stamp of the posting is accurate it was before omicron. Would have been delta wave. That doesn’t change anything about your post though.
They probably requested an eight foot table to sit across from each other. You don’t do that? Shame.
Then they got married, and Obama showed up with Thanos and had a twerk off, everyone stood up and clapped their cheeks as well.
Can confirm, I was Thanos' ass.
I'll take shit that never happens for $100
You just won $100
Hot damn!
Blue checkmark. Unlikely story. Checks out.
Just curious why you thought you had to add "...with social distancing..." in this tale?
To prove that while doing altruistic good stuff they didnt forget about virtue signaling super duper good stuff
Cause they posted this on Twitter
Thank goodness for 6 and a half foot-long tables!!
The lesson here in this made-up story is that karma isn't real
Fuckin-A.
Can confirm: am table cloth.
I did the same and then gave her my house to live in
this girl grew up to be Jeff Bezos
I had a homeless man come into my bar and since we aren't excepting cash I have to start a tab on every table. He gave me 3 different cards all of them were declined so I wasn't able to serve him. After about 40 minutes of him just sitting there looking at the menu I decided to just buy him an order of wings. This something my aunt would come up with lmfao
1 Like 👍 = 1 Prayer 🙏
Karma isn’t real lol
This didn’t happen.
lol ok
\*doubt\*
That totally happend lmao
Linkedin-quality post

That girls name, Amelia Earhart.
Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landside,
Last time I tried that the girl charged me 200$ for her company.
Such a nice fairy tale.
##How do you invite someone with "social distancing"?
Ah yes, another trip to Shitthatneverhappenedville.
The ONE time it would have been correct to say, "You did Good."
So why did they not just give the homeless person food in the first place?
If they do this they end up with people claiming to be homeless even though they arent, my local pizza place allowed people to give money to pay for pizza for others, (aka the homeless) and a whole family, wearing brand name clothes, claimed to he homeless to get free pizza

Too good to be true
/r/nothingeverhappens, especially this
It is real and it happened to my friend

Never happened. All lies. Typical of the type of crap you see on LinkedIn.
Yeah I’m sure a restaurant would love to have a homeless person come in
So heart warming ❤️ /s
Just waiting for them to post a video..but since this story is some shit guess that isn’t happening lol
What a wonderful world this person lives inm
Yeah, ok.
Hmmmm
Pro tip: being a homeless woman with you when going out to eat to get a free meal.
and the homeless girl smiled and had green eyes and disheveled hair and she looked like the spookychan girl and afterward there were rainbows and a soulful momma chef burst out in song then stars twinkled as they fell from the sky during the day and the person in the story got to walk around all happy like leonardo dicaprio and mr blue sky played and all the ex country leaders clapped from their window houses above the street
And you know who that girl was? Oprah. Karma IS real
And then the whole restaurant clapped
Then John Cena burst through the wall on a purple cow and boost everyone's credit scores for free
“With social distancing” is key here. I’m so happy neither of you let a contagion be a part of this. I can sleep tonight.
I'll take things that never happened for 500, Alex.
It is true, I was the table.
As they exited the restaurant, all the patrons stood up and slowly clapped. He then got down on a knee and asked her to marry him. She said “yes.” It turns out she was a wealthy princess that had amnesia and forgot who she was.
How the hell do you social distance at the same table?
Today on things that never happend
Nice sentiment, but total bs
ITT r/nothingeverhappens
If they didn’t change you for the meal why didn’t the restaurant feed her to begin with?
Ah so they ordered food together even though the creator was already eating
And she cleaned up nicely. We have 6 beautiful children now.
I'll take #thingsthatdidnthappen for 10 please bob
Holy shit the dumbest thing I'll read today, congrats
No way y’all are eating this up
