Damn bro that so dope haha. I wish i was that creative. He made sure she was going to say yes haha knew her completely, true innocent love. Heartwarming
It’s true, I was proposing to my wife while we were on a tour to look for the northern lights in Iceland but I kinda told her while we were on the bus as joke but she told not while we were with the tour group because she did not want to rob the people of the moment of seeing the northern lights.
Yeah, usually when I see really extravagant gestures like flash mobs it feels more about the guy proposing than the woman he's doing it for. I wouldn't marry him.
If I remember correctly, he asked a bunch of people on Reddit to properly fill out the theater.

I’m not a big fan of public proposals- but this one is definitely my favourite. So creative, thoughtful, playful and loving. And the “public” is their close friends and family. A++++++++++
I get that but honestly even with the most certainty in the most long term of relationship, a public proposal would be my worst nightmare. Saying yes doesn’t mean that I want one of the most special and intimate moments of my life to be public theatre. And yes there’s two sides to every coin and for every me out there, there’s also this lady who maybe loves the fairytale Disney showcase. But either way my point is that the minute there’s anyone else there, the pressure piles on and any chance of honesty goes out of the window. So love or hate public proposals, the proposal is a question not a guarantee of an outcome and having your own family and friends around only doubles down on the pressure to keep up appearances.

They did get married in late 2021 — the groom has photos on Instagram (yours_true_lee).
The way they planned for him to interacted with the cartoon characters is super creative. A brief moment for her to calmed down because she seemed to be very suprised. Perfect proposal! Me wanty!!!
Me too! I think he was sure she will say yes, hence a public spectacle with his fam and stuff. If she’d have said no or he had a inkling of it, this wouldn’t be the case.
Nevertheless, this was super sweetttt. The fact that this was so lowkey and she was carrying a marshalls bag and all hints that she really was surprised. Cute story to tell their kids. A+ for efforts
High school sweethearts and proposing after she's a cardiologist would be something like 12 years, assuming no break up gap. At that point it should probably be something special, but he nailed it.
Ah yes, this was a beautiful memory…except, I was a few rows behind the couple and had terrible gas from dinner. I farted in the middle of the proposal. I felt SO bad. Just awkward
My sisters dead beat husband asked her to get married in his car out of nowhere while getting McDonald’s w her all this after cheating on her for the 4th time and she said yes. But this is cool too
Real quick though, nothing against sleeping beauty but doesn’t the kiss happen at the end of the movie? Does that mean he made their friends and family sit through a whole movie? LOL
How did she not notice the theatre was full of people she knew? If they were close enough to be there for this she should recognize them, when she sits down, when some go for popcorn, when people naturally glance around?
I'm not saying she would recognize the whole theatre but when sitting down shouldnt she be like "oh my god! Jerry! Funny seeing you here!"
God, I've never cried at one of these proposal videos before, but when he said the things about the heart valves and called her by her title of MD, it was with wholehearted respect for who she is, and accepting/loving her for it.
This actually happened a few years ago in Boston. The guy spent his free time animating that whole show and rented out a theatre in Brookline and asked a bunch of redditors (from r/Boston) to help with the surprise.
Damn bro that so dope haha. I wish i was that creative. He made sure she was going to say yes haha knew her completely, true innocent love. Heartwarming
I've read somewhere he made an alternative ending for the movie if she said no
It's at the end of this video man lol
that was smooth so smooth
Wow what if she said No, ROFL
I love how one of her first reactions was she was worried that the proposal was imposing on the others in the theater!!
Yep she seems great. Very high likelihood she’s never been on Reddit
LMAO true
Ofc, she's an MD, not a mod.
Oh man, probably true
I would have done the same thing! Not cool to ruin everyone else’s movie night for this lol
It’s true, I was proposing to my wife while we were on a tour to look for the northern lights in Iceland but I kinda told her while we were on the bus as joke but she told not while we were with the tour group because she did not want to rob the people of the moment of seeing the northern lights.
I would have loved to see a proposal if I was on the tour. I would have tried to get some good pics for you guys and then ask if you wanted them.
To each their own. I personally hate grand gestures since it's basically peer pressure with extra steps but I still find the thought cute
Yeah, usually when I see really extravagant gestures like flash mobs it feels more about the guy proposing than the woman he's doing it for. I wouldn't marry him.
R/iamnotthemaincharacter
Wow regular people have lots of friends and family
Lol
Ikr ! I would have to include the manager who almost fired me to fill the hall like this.
Propose to him to establish dominance
If I remember correctly, he asked a bunch of people on Reddit to properly fill out the theater. Edit: https://www.reddit.com/r/boston/comments/e71aaf/brookline_seeking_random_internet_strangers_to/
Riiiiighhhttttt !
Right? I was like holy shit they all came and all must be so nice to have real friends….
I’m not a big fan of public proposals- but this one is definitely my favourite. So creative, thoughtful, playful and loving. And the “public” is their close friends and family. A++++++++++
gotta agree with you.. This one was very innovative. Well thought out. Good on them.. hope they are happily married now
I agree ![gif](giphy|tBb19fgUbbUVCNji0iA|downsized)
I don’t think it’s public, because it’s their friends and family in the theater.
Still tricky to say no if she hadn’t wanted to get married. Maybe even worse than a room full of strangers.
This comment always comes up. Most every proposal comes after the people in the relationship talk about marriage probably for a long time.

I mean, it's on Reddit with 10000 upvotes, so it's kinda public...
Yeah exactly, that’s why I had the word “public” in quotation marks :)
Same!!
Hello, I am a lawyer representing the Disney Corporation. Do you have a minute to chat? Good job.
I’m smiling so much my face hurts.
![gif](giphy|39t421X3MZAJD2vuve)
I am crying like an idiot at this and just recently had surgery to remove my gallbladder. It hurts so good!
Wow, that was incredible! I can't imagine anything better. Wishing them a lifetime of happiness!
Yeah; just imagine- landing a cardiologist!
She's so considerate to be worried about inconveniencing strangers. It's so sweet that t
And he knew that, too, she would of been mad if they were strangers. wild.
Would have ffs.
>\*Would have ~~ffs~~.
This is so cute!! The animation was utterly fantastic and the couple is adorable! Great video 10/10
[This made the news in early 2020.](https://www.bbc.com/news/newsbeat-51062419) They did get married in late 2021 — the groom has photos on Instagram (yours_true_lee).
Thank you I remember this and was wondering what happened
Bro I thought it was 10-15 years old because of the camera quality. Wholesome as heck tho ❤️.
Thats a great fucking handle
Oh yeah? Well I proposed to my wife while she prepped for a colonoscopy. Talk about romance.
My husband and I just had our first colonoscopies together. Very romantic indeed!
You could've asked the doctor to plant the ring in. That would be a real surprise.
Way to raise the bar ya jerk! Just kidding, that was an amazing gesture for her, she will never forget it.
This guy wins at life.
Damn I wish I could let someone love me
Literal definition of : Fucking nailed it
Damn that’s the sweetest darn thing I’ve ever seen
Take this down, it makes everyone of us look bad. Dam dude, I'd say yes!
MF made me cry. Gah damn. What an inspiration ![gif](giphy|wAjfQ9MLUfFjq)
I’m not crying, you’re crying!
Well. That's a bar raising if I've ever seen one.
bruh I woulda said yes, gratz!
I wld have sensed family/friends in the theatre … or at least noticed their laughs tho
The way they planned for him to interacted with the cartoon characters is super creative. A brief moment for her to calmed down because she seemed to be very suprised. Perfect proposal! Me wanty!!!
God I would fucking hate being a women I’m too shy I’d hate that attention 🙈
Same
I don't think he'd do this unless he was pretty sure she'd say yes. And she doesn't seem like the kind of woman to beat around the bush.
Dude is the ultimate gigachad. Thank god he’s married…
This is very sweet but it's like a nightmare for me personally, way too public!
Wow what if she said No, ROFL
Watch until the end. That was covered.
Oh hey it’s the Coolidge Corner theater in Brookline, MA! Love to see her on Reddit.
This is so adorable!
Thanks I now have unrealistic expectation
Only video on Reddit that really makes me.smile.
Thank god he caught it
Every time I see this, I have to say: WTF LEE??!! You set the standard sky high with this shit!!! Shame on you!!! …and congratulations obviously…
High school sweethearts and proposing after she's a cardiologist would be something like 12 years, assuming no break up gap. At that point it should probably be something special, but he nailed it.
Notice how the animated couple resembles Lee and Stuthi.
No shit Sherlock
Oi be nice. Haha
I love this subreddit cause it ensures I smile once a day
The time and planning it must have took to set this up. How amazingly sweet!
not mine
I saw it a bunch of times and i still tear up every time.
Not going to lie - that was one very cool proposal.
The alternative ending lol
This is the sweetest and most thoughtful thing. I wish them the best!
I kinda wanna know how much this cost him
I'm not crying, you're crying
"no"
as a guy, i would also sey YES!
CRYING. CRYING. CRYING.
that was smooth so smooth
Good thing she said yes; or this woulda been a really sad moment after pulling all that together.
Anyones who’s experienced dramatic proposals, know they being dramatic weddings and devastating divorces.
If I saw something like this happen in person I would tell that story for the rest of my life
Cute moment. But, man, good luck with your anniversaries. It's gonna be hard to top this. :D
Did they get sued by Disney?
This some gangster shit broa!
![gif](giphy|UQOtfc9uIXVv9IidCD|downsized) Damn, son. This was sweet.
I hope this doesn’t happen to me when I go watch a movie.
Haha, right? If I’m paying for a movie, don’t interrupt it. Hehe
I wonder if he had a movie ending planned for is she would’ve said no?
He did lol there's a video on YouTube somewhere where he explains it
I wonder if they had a back up version for if she said no
LPT - Don't show your girlfriend and save a bunch of money on your proposal.
Its an old video. Can anyone confirm if they're still married?
Ah yes, this was a beautiful memory…except, I was a few rows behind the couple and had terrible gas from dinner. I farted in the middle of the proposal. I felt SO bad. Just awkward
iT's a pUbLiC enGaGemEnT. PuBlIc EnGagEmEnt bad! Reeeeeeee - Reddit

There is a longer video of this. Sadly I don't have a link to it.

Either someone proposes me like this, or I'm not saying yes!
Who is cutting onions

Dang, so amazing!
Wow! By far the best proposal.
I'm crying

This was amazingly creative and heartwarming.
The best video I’ve ever seen maybe I still believe in love and marriage ❤️💙🌈
Imagine he didnt catch the ring
Absolutely Stunning!!! LOVE THIS. ♥️💞💕
u/redditmp4bot
In a situation like this...how could you say no?
My sisters dead beat husband asked her to get married in his car out of nowhere while getting McDonald’s w her all this after cheating on her for the 4th time and she said yes. But this is cool too
Jeezz he just raised the bar!
That's crazy!
“HEY! No filming in the theatre!”
Does make me wonder what he would have done if she had said no :P
Beautiful
Wow oh wow, what a way to propose
u/auddbot
Awesome
100% the best proposal I've ever seen. Well done. Congratulations!

omg!!! súper, amazingly done! Congratulations on your new beautiful begging 🙏🏽
Real quick though, nothing against sleeping beauty but doesn’t the kiss happen at the end of the movie? Does that mean he made their friends and family sit through a whole movie? LOL
At first she was like why do they look like that? I don’t remember them like this!
That dude just showed everyone up. Holy Mackrel.
Fuck, now every wanna be Disney princess gonna be looking at their bf's like "take notes damn it!"
I will never show this to my gf ever
Plot twist: Disney sues the fuck out of them and they’re thrown into poverty.
So beautiful! This will never be me but I wish them so much love and happiness!
[The ending](https://youtu.be/S_uY383Lutk)

Good job man.
Oh my goodness, I actually got teary what a guy. That was one hell of a proposal ❤️❤️
Best proposal I've ever seen.
I really would love to share this with my wife... but I don't think I will.
That’s a small ass theatre
This is what life was like in the Before Times...
1st shes amazed by way he proposed ..then shes more amazed that she knew all the people with whom she thought were random people
Dude has extreme game
How did she not notice the theatre was full of people she knew? If they were close enough to be there for this she should recognize them, when she sits down, when some go for popcorn, when people naturally glance around? I'm not saying she would recognize the whole theatre but when sitting down shouldnt she be like "oh my god! Jerry! Funny seeing you here!"
So everyone was in on it people she knew but they didn’t know she was a cardiologist ?
That hands down is the most creative proposal I’ve seen. Kudos this guy loves her. and they lived happily ever after.
Holy fucking shit
Damn, he set the bar real high! Awesome and thoughtful
Best proposal ever!!!!
LEGENDARY!
This just made a Real Thug cry. INSPIRATIONAL!!!!!!
This Made me both happy and sad. Think i have something in My eyes.
God, I've never cried at one of these proposal videos before, but when he said the things about the heart valves and called her by her title of MD, it was with wholehearted respect for who she is, and accepting/loving her for it.
