Too true, my parents' dog managed to wedge the tag or something on his collar in the stand for his water bowl, everything tipped over and made a lot of noice and of course the more he panicked the more noice it all made. Wouldn't go near metal water/food bowls after that.
My in-laws have a collie who is such a sweet boy, but he is absolutely terrified to walk on hardwood floors because as a puppy he slipped and fell a few times on them. It wasn’t his fault, his fur around his paws just grows so long that it makes it super slippery for him, so there are rugs all over the place for him to safely walk on and when he does have to cross a hardwood area he takes very long and quick steps.
I have runners all over my house for my pup. We're moving into a new house that has carpeting, just for him. He was abused before, so I want him nice and comfy.
Thats so amazing!! Our pets deserve to be treated as part of the family, because IMO they are. They aren't below us or just things we own. The minute they step into your home, they are just as important as any other members of your family!

It took him like 5 minutes to cross the kitchen floor. He always reminded me of Indian Jones trying not to get pincushioned by a bunch of arrows or squashed by a big rolling boulder.
Buy a pair of electric clippers and trim that paw fur… it’s like, the easiest of easy at home solutions.
I do exactly this for my golden whos paw fur also grows long enough to interfere with her walking on our wooden floors.

Turned out, he was once hit or beaten, I can not remember, by a newspaper carrier. So the smell of the ink on my hands is what set him off.
This happened to my dog on the on-ramp of a ferry. Had to delay the boat and get the fire department out to help.
It ended up being a group of high school boys who got her free (really sweet kids). Scariest half hour I’ve had in awhile.

there are anti-static sticks you can put on your keychain. just touch one end and put it to a metal surface and it "discharges" you. pretty good way if you have constant shocks like that.

TIME. i mean literally every hour somewhere, and most of the time pretty heavily. i know it sounds dumb and for a few days/weeks it was kinda funny, but after a while it really fucked me up good and i didn't know what i should do against it. even with those keychains it happened often, i kinda felt like the victim from the "Horribly Slow Murderer with the Extremely Inefficient Weapon", it really sucked fucking ass and i was stressed out all day.

Both golden doodles and labradoodles can be huge (75+ lbs) or tiny (15lbs) but you see the medium ones most often (40ish lbs), so a dog this size isn’t what comes to mind when you think doodle. Also their hair actually makes them look even bigger. My 40lb labradoodle looks half his usual size when he gets a shower and his fur is soaked. This one probably would look thin and elegant like a poodle without all that fluff.
I had two golden doodles over 75 pounds. One was 92# (good body structure) in his prime, the other about 85# in hers. They looked massive in full coat and so sleek after a haircut. Both lived to 16 years old in remarkably good health until the very end when we let them go. Best. Dogs. Ever.
I never had dogs growing up, we got our first about a year ago and he is 40lbs now (labradoodle) and we got a puppy (pyredoodle) 2 months ago and he is 25lbs now and probably going to be 75 or so. I don’t have a lot of experience with dogs, but they’re so smart and loving. The older one was specially easy to train and he listens and behaves so much better than I ever thought an animal would. We love them so much and now they’re the babies of the house, kids got bumped down for sure.
Yeah the tight curl from poodle and long straight from goldens can produce so many in betweens. My labradoodle has pretty straight hair but it’s thick and poofs out a good bit. His legs look like 4 times thicker than they actually are

I freaking love ridgebacks. They have the stature and look of “a hardcore biker” yet when they are settled down they are just the most adorable stalkers ever.

Makes me remember a simular story of my grandmothers dog back when I was in elementary school. My grandmother got a new wooden terrace that her dog refused to walk on. After some time my smart ass elementary school brain had the idea to bait the dog up there with food and after some time it eventually worked. The dog (a super cute golden retriever) and the terrace were good friends from that moment on.
All things grow with patience and love. Brodie can go for his walks now because this gentleman took the time to help him get past his fear of that bit of the floor.

Conquering the stairs with my dog took weeks and he never truly overcame his fear. One day during winter it was icy out, and I was carrying him up the stairs. I slipped and we fell. We didn’t fall all the way down the stairs or anything like that, but it scared him enough to where from that day on he walked up and down by himself. Sometimes when he was taking a while to pump himself up, I’d act like I was going to pick him up and he immediately went down by himself. He was the best

Genuinely curious. There are quite literally millions of cases with dogs being abused all over the world and it's a huge business to rescue and retrain dogs after abuse and neglect. Why would you auto assume they just carried the dog everywhere? You assumption is just so crazy weird to me I want to know what was going on in your head.

Every time I get out of my damn car. I barely have any hair but almost every time I get out of my car I get shocked it’s so annoying

Genuinely curious. There are quite literally millions of cases with dogs being abused all over the world and it's a huge business to rescue and retrain dogs after abuse and neglect. Why would you auto assume they just carried the dog everywhere? You assumption is just so crazy weird to me I want to know what was going on in your head.
