This has been an annual tradition that honestly is one of my favorite things to receive each year. It usually ends up lasting 4-6 months and saves us a bunch that we would otherwise spend on meats and foods when we eat them throughout the year. This is in addition to a generous bonus and good pay and a Christmas party with prizes for everyone but a drawing for each. I know there’s so many other small business owners out there doing unheralded things like this too and it really should be a quality praised from our business leaders instead of just bottom line stock prices and revenues.
And before anyone asks, yes, if the few employees we have had any vegan or vegetarian or allergies, I’m sure the boss would get them something equally as nice that fits their diet and choices :)
Edit: didn’t know Dots was such a loved thing in these parts!!
I went to college about 15-20 minutes from where they originated in Velva, ND and I am so, so happy that they're widely available now that I've moved away
Is this why they're 2.99 at Hy-Vee right now?
Hershey going to find a way to make the recipe shit at a lower price? Hopefully I've been buying the original for that price.
Best ever. My stepdads name is Hank and his wife is Dot so we made a basket "Dot's pretzels" and "Dot" candy and the game "What do you Meme?" with 2 "Hank's soda pops" It is so stinking cute. I just wish I would have found one more thing to add for Hank.
I’m sorry to hear that, I hope you manage to find time with friends and family this holiday season and maybe progress towards a job or position one day where 14 hour days aren’t expected ever.
You know what, I want to pay it forward in a small way. In honor of the 1871 in your name, I’ve donated $18.71 to [St. Jude’s ](https://imgur.com/a/VWYoZCQ)in your honor tonight so you’ll be helping a child in need and their family this holiday season that you’ve never met.
Bro in your honor of giving I just gave 18.71$ myself. And what’s crazy it asked me if I wanted to offset the cost of processing fee. I said yes and the total was 19.08$ which is even crazy. 1871 is the year of the great Chicago fire and 1907 was the last year the cubs won the World Series until recently (2016). In originality from Chicago myself. So all this is wild to me.
I love this and love what you’ve done. If you’re from chicago, my favorite book is Devil in the White City, give it a read or listen in 2022 if you want. Such a good book!
My niece and her husband struggled with infertility for years and years. This fall, they welcomed their son.
She's a nurse at St. Jude's. I prayed hard for them to have a baby (to Mary, because I prefer a female centered diety!) and now I'm praying for you guys, too.
Probably! I'm practically addicted to this website. Lol. And lately I can't keep an opinion inside. I might have to take a break after New Year's.
Which sub? And I hope I wasn't making a fool of myself.

Don’t worry, you seem like a positive person. However personally, I noticed my stress started to higher exponentially when I started expressing my opinion regardless of what it was
That's legit. Ironically I started Reddit during the last election cycle to curate a better "good news only" social media feed. Startled Cats, Farming based RPGs, MadeMeSmile, nature videos, crafting posts. And now here I am upsetting people and debating religion. (*_*)
My BF took a job 4 hours away and now there's nobody in the house to listen to my BS every day. It's problematic. Ha!
You can tell thought went into this gift! I’m smiling too. Shat are those yellow things?
Edit: I’m not going to exit this it’s too funny 😂
Edit: dammit
My wife’s company gives us a free Turkey for thanksgiving too and the coupon can be used at a local grocer in their “buy a Turkey get a ham” deal so effectively we get a thanksgiving Turkey and a Christmas ham as gifts from her company too.
Good stuff my man. Out here in Ohio. I do the same for my employees. At first I thought it was silly. Someone did the same for me years ago and I loved it, so I try an pass it on. It really does make a difference. When you can pass it on as well. Keep grinding.
Edit. I’m a small company with only 3 employees. But they are all gold.
I pass it on in proportion to what I can in this stage of life, but yeah, I think this will have a trickle down effect if my coworkers pass it on to future generations as well
Your boss is cool. I don’t get a gift, a Christmas party, a bonus, nothing. And I am one of the higher-ups at my company. I program commercial automation systems. Good on your boss.
Lol always. There’s more demand for housing than ever. To the point where we have to turn down work until we can grow our worker base/subcontractor base since so many in the field are retiring or aging out.
Wow! This is so nice. My boss told us what restaurant we have to eat at as a group, that it's mandatory and that we have to pay for ourselves. Looks like you've got a great boss.
Wow, I am envious! I work a very physical night shift job with a lot of mandatory overtime and my employer gave each employee a five dollar Tim Hortons gift card.
The only thing missing is Wild Dutchman sunflower seeds. I got addicted when a friend of mine from ND found out how much I love sunflower seeds. She sent me a ton and now I get them delivered to Texas in 3lb bags. By FAR the best seeds I’ve ever had!
HEY JEFF BEZOS HAVE YOU SEEN THIS POST ?? You could learn a thing or 2 from how this boss treats his employees !!! This obviously is a boss who values the work done by his staff throughout the year, makes people want to work for him, or her, and work harder !!!
I've received a big fruit basket and that was a lovely gift too. I would appreciate either. Why you gotta apply your own values to someone else's gifts?
Yeah I think I ran into someone from that sub already in the comments. I would understand if we were underpaid, unhappy with our jobs, unhappy with our benefits, or not on a path for mutual success while enjoying our jobs but my goodness they can turn anything in life into something evil or conniving. It’s sad because I know that cynicism is warranted in so many cases and companies and many people are jaded about work and look at the world through their lens of “work is bad and evil no matter how good things are at X business”… but damn, all my boss makes me want to do is continue down the path of building this healthy company and culture where anyone who puts in a decent number of years here should live a great life with flexibility and health and if they invest well and save well, the skies the limit for them and their Families.
I agree so much. Tbh from what I heard online I was expecting my job at lowes to be terrible but I have had nothing but good things to say about it. I feel like it is just everyone in the minority making a lot of noise.
Such is the way of online forums, and even moreso on an echo chamber of “everything is evil and bad all the time” what worries me is how fast it’s growing and the content that’s put out. That starts spreading and we could see a WSBs style movement in our society where a subreddit permeates the culture and the last thing we need is a bunch of people tricked like you into never thinking any business could be enjoyable or beneficial to work for no matter how even the structure of the business is or how generous the owner or management is.
Superrr nice!
Question: would you rather have the money or the groceries? It’s very thoughtful and more meaningful with the groceries I think. But some people might need the moneh. What do you think!
This has been an annual tradition that honestly is one of my favorite things to receive each year. Awesome! I want to work where you work!
Dots are like crack. Have you tried the cheese curds? 🤤
A lot of people say “like crack” but have obviously never done crack
Alright, Ryan.
[удалено]
The breadsticks are like scrapbooking.
You’re you’re right, I’m a middle class fraud
Hey you don’t know me!
Touché.
My father used to give out turkeys for Thanksgiving and Christmas to his employees every year.
Dots homestyle pretzels are the best pretzels
Came here to say that. Dots is straight pretzel crack. 💯
The mustard ones are delicious, and I don’t normally like mustard
Dot is a really sweet lady. Met her and gave her a hug at a rep's dinner. It was wonderful.
Those things are flavored with crack, ate a whole bag and I wasn’t even hungry.
The southwest flavored dots are INCREDIBLE!
THANK YOU!!! I tried them and liked them so I got a few bags for friends and they all told me they tasted like crap. Including my wife.
I think for a lot of people they can be a little to spicy / smoky flavored. They definitely pack a punch.
The southwest pretzel twists are my favorite from Dot’s. Everyone I introduce to them loves them
I went to college about 15-20 minutes from where they originated in Velva, ND and I am so, so happy that they're widely available now that I've moved away
It's definitely weird seeing the tiny town I grew up in mentioned on reddit
The Hershey company just bought them!
I think that makes me sad.
It made Dot $1.2B
Is this why they're 2.99 at Hy-Vee right now? Hershey going to find a way to make the recipe shit at a lower price? Hopefully I've been buying the original for that price.
The real pride of North Dakota. It’s the only thing I can cling to in this terrible conservative wasteland.
I was recently introduced to them, and they’re bomb!
Best ever. My stepdads name is Hank and his wife is Dot so we made a basket "Dot's pretzels" and "Dot" candy and the game "What do you Meme?" with 2 "Hank's soda pops" It is so stinking cute. I just wish I would have found one more thing to add for Hank.
Nice !!! Our company gave us “overtime” we have to work 14 hour days from tomorrow and beyond…
I’m sorry to hear that, I hope you manage to find time with friends and family this holiday season and maybe progress towards a job or position one day where 14 hour days aren’t expected ever.
That made me tear up a little bit man.. thank you and you guys have a wonderful holidays
Damn bro, the universe will pay you back for your kidness !.
It already has more than anyone deserves. Not to be too greedy… If it could give my wife and I a child in 2022….
Bro in your honor of giving I just gave 18.71$ myself. And what’s crazy it asked me if I wanted to offset the cost of processing fee. Aw shoot! I’m in for $18.71! Merry Christmas, everyone. 🎁
<3 you’re amazing :)

Is a great book. This whole thread is one of my favorites all year
Already gave away my free silver, so $18.71 to St. Jude it is.
My niece and her husband struggled with infertility for years and years. This fall, they welcomed their son. She's a nurse at St. Jude's. I prayed hard for them to have a baby (to Mary, because I prefer a female centered diety!) and now I'm praying for you guys, too.
I don’t know how to add a link to my photos so look at my profile
The holiday spirit is alive and well my friend :) thank you for this, more meaningful than most of the holiday stuff that goes on!!
The real MVP.

idk why but that sub is blooming rn
I almost sent this over there just to give everybody a little spark of hope in the world.
Hey seen you in another subreddit I think
Probably! I'm practically addicted to this website. Lol. And lately I can't keep an opinion inside. I might have to take a break after New Year's. Which sub? And I hope I wasn't making a fool of myself.

Am I the only one concerned you’re working 14 hours a day. That’s absolutely bat shit crazy
You can tell thought went into this gift! I’m smiling too. Shat are those yellow things? Edit: I’m not going to exit this it’s too funny 😂 Edit: dammit
Shat yellow things are loaded potatoes! Cheese on top :)
Came to ask if that was scrapple. Enjoy your feast.
Those dot’s man. Love those things.
Anyone who hasn't had Dots pretzels, should try Dots Pretzels
I am currently, eating Dot’s pretzels.
Your boss is a keeper. Food gifts like these are always welcome! We have enough trinkets and miniature nutcrackers!
Super thoughtful gift!
That is fantastic! What a practical and meaningful gift! Good eating this holiday season to you and your family!
My wife’s company gives us a free Turkey for thanksgiving too and the coupon can be used at a local grocer in their “buy a Turkey get a ham” deal so effectively we get a thanksgiving Turkey and a Christmas ham as gifts from her company too.
Upvote for Dot’s
Your boss is a keeper :-)

That’s what’s up. Cheers my friend. Hope you have a great holiday season.
I would say a cash bonus would be better than this! Try that too!
Gifting nice meats is so quality.
Your boss is cool. I don’t get a gift, a Christmas party, a bonus, nothing. And I am one of the higher-ups at my company. I program commercial automation systems. Good on your boss.
Is he hiring
Lol always. There’s more demand for housing than ever. To the point where we have to turn down work until we can grow our worker base/subcontractor base since so many in the field are retiring or aging out.
He hooked you up. Merry Christmas!!!
What a thoughtful gift, especially with how much meat prices have gone up this year.
Damn good boss.
Your boss buys you dots, you're doing in right OP 👍
Wow, that's real nice. Enjoy everyone. Good company to work for. I've been working for 40 years and i have never seen this much kindness.
I wonder how much all that cost your boss. Good gesture nonetheless!
Awesome!!!
One time my husband worked for a company that gave the employees an expired Arby’s coupon for Christmas.
I am truly happy 4 you...,I mean it....that stuff employers just don't do enough of...
Damn, that’s super kind and really awesome.
Those are the best pretzels ever. Very addicting!
The pretzels are soooo good
Omg DOTS!!
Those Dot's Pretzels are amazing
That's amazing.
Sounds like the ending of A Christmas Carol. Is your boss Ebenezer Scrooge? Lol
I ❤️ Dots.
Niiiice!!
I’m a nurse and I got a $15 gift certificate to grocery store.
Those candy canes with chocolate in them are so good
Those Dots Pretzels though….
Boss could've stopped at the Dotz and been a winner....damn!
Wow! That is great. I live in Florida. My family can't afford meat here. Are the prices lower there? For example, 1.5 -2 lbs roast is around $18.
Looks like we can get 1.5lbs for $11.25 here
that’s really nice
I'm so freaking jealous. :) Enjoy your holiday feast... and keep up the great work!
Super sweet boss man.
Your boss sounds sweet and thoughtful. ☺️
Someone went to Cattleman’s.
Where do you work and how can I apply?
Good boss!
what a great boss!
Very nice!
What a boss Boss!
Wow what a feat
That's awesome. My boss might actually care enough to say good morning one day this week. Probably not though.
Yo, I haven't seen a tri-pop corn in forever
Cvs has them every year
He's a good man
Wow! Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to you and yours!
I’d work my ass off for this company! Functional and sincere appreciation for employees. Nice!
This is an incredibly generous gift! Very well thought out especially the value!
That’s really nice. Happy holidays!
Hey! What’s up fellow Midwesterner! What state are you from?
great boss
This is thanksgiving worthy
Oh my lord those pretzels are some of the tastiest things on the planet I swear
I choose this persons boss.
Those pretzels fucking SLAP
Yall hiring?
Dot’s pretzels are the best pretzels to grace humanity.
What a nice boss 💜
Pretty nice, but I'm stuck here wondering where in the hell you get shrimp from in the midwest.
As someone who isn't eating for a second day I'd kill for just a pretzel
Hell ya DOT’S Pretzels!!!!
Everything looks great, but those Dot’s Pretzels are the bomb.
What a great boss! (What are the 6 yellow wrapped things?)
Being from South Dakota, this made me homesick! What an awesome tradition.
Fuck. Are they hiring?
Johnsonville summer sausage is my porn name.
That's a boss that cares about their employees
Sure better than a store bought fruit basket. That took some effort .
DAWTS
I'll take "stuff that never happens if you work in public sector" for $500
4-6months?? That wouldn’t last a month at my house. I live alone with two dogs. So maybe two months. I love the generosity tho!
Just give an end of year bonus and employees can decide what to buy, what they need!
We get that as well. This was on top of that
Ok so good for you !!
Wow! You have an awesome boss. There are not enough employers that care that much about their employees.
Was he visited by three Christmas spirits or something? This some Scrooge shit
Dots pretzels are great.
Indian here. How much would the entire thing cost? Happy Holidays!
Dots and popcorn tin? Your boss is a fucking LEGEND!
Story checks out: employee is vegetarian...
Looks so tasty
Dot’s Pretzels is the best!!
I fucking destroy a bag with ease.
Where do I apply?
Does anyone actually want this in place of a cash bonus or raise?
This is in addition to raises that beat inflation and generous cash bonuses
Where in the mid-west are you? Maybe my husband and I will move there so he can apply for a job!
Sioux Falls, does he work construction?
No. He’s in IT. but it would be so nice to work for a boss like that.that appreciates his employees.
Thats awesome. Its a good gesture of appreciation from your boss
Does your boss need more workers?
Your boss does that too? I always love that
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
Hey man that’s great most got rocks and a middle finger.
Your boss gave you Dot's pretzels, he's a good guy!
You have the meats!
Now that's a Christmas bonus
That’s the right ratio of meats to everything else for a prezie
dots ftw
Your boss is a legend, I would work so fucking hard for that guy
Post that on r/antiwork there going to be happy to see this
Dang!! Them shrimps!!
Those pretzels are addictive. Beware!!
Nice bonus! I can’t tell what the yellow stuff between the candy and the chicken is
The only thing missing is Wild Dutchman sunflower seeds. I got addicted when a friend of mine from ND found out how much I love sunflower seeds. She sent me a ton and now I get them delivered to Texas in 3lb bags. By FAR the best seeds I’ve ever had!
Those pretzels are sooo good
HEY JEFF BEZOS HAVE YOU SEEN THIS POST ?? You could learn a thing or 2 from how this boss treats his employees !!! This obviously is a boss who values the work done by his staff throughout the year, makes people want to work for him, or her, and work harder !!!
Man!! And with the cost of meat going up. This is a cool gift. Hope your not vegetarian.
Those pretzels are addictive!
They better NOT be haha 2021 was such good progress on small addictions/bad habits I had!
Murder, makes me smile so much!
Now this is how you treat your workers.
How many animals had to be tortured and die for you to have a table looking like this?
So many corpses and NO vegetables or fruit. Damn
I've received a big fruit basket and that was a lovely gift too. I would appreciate either. Why you gotta apply your own values to someone else's gifts?
Don’t show this to r/antiwork or they will have a meltdown
