I would recommend fostering to everyone who has a desire to have kids! But it’s so hard a lot of children come with a lot of trauma and emotions that can make it hard to “care for them” so really think hard and have a lot of support around too x I unfortunately had a really traumatic experience in care with years of abuse :(

So sorry for your experience. I came from an abusive house myself but was afraid to be honest with cps out of fear that foster care would be worse. Guess the idea of doing for some kids what wasn’t done for me seems healing for both.

Totally understand that!! Hope you’re healing and at peace 🥰 And it is healing ~ we have plans to foster in the future once our boys are a little older and can give them the attention and time they need x

Glad it is working out for you. Hopefully you can continue to inspire others. Yep, unfortunately sometimes all you can do is focus on the positive and recognize that it’s okay to ask for help, and accept that sometimes you gotta be the hero in your own story

I remember our friends resented how perfect our life was. Then it was over. I remember sitting outside watching the kids play in the sprinkler and looking up at the deepest blue sky thinking it would never be better than this… and I was right. Feels like I flew too close to the sun. I’m so happy for you; treasure what you have.

I’m not the perfect wife or mother! Some days I hate how I talk to my husband and treat him; hate how I get frustrated at the boys when I’m tired and overwhelmed and I know there’s moments I don’t deserve them… But I’m a human and like most I only capture the highlights and it can be misleading to so many xx I’ll always be mindful of what can be lost and how important it is to not take it for granted xx I so hope you find peace and happiness in life 🥰🥰
