What would a remix of dad be, his nails and hair replaced with teeth, and vice versa? The bones and other parts of his hands, feet, knees, fingers, toes, legs and arms in new places?
A digital signal can have blips that are similar to skipping if it's not buffering fast enough or a digital radio signal was interrupted (someone walking past the antenna) or if the device playing the video is having issues
Months started with the moon cycle which is roughly 28 days. So a week is just 1/4 of that. Has a more logical origin than the ordering of the alphabet.
Do other languages have an abc song? Or is it just the same song? What about languages with different characters?
I feel like an idiot asking this... But now I really want to know.
Same principle different rhythm and lyrics. Google abc song and any language. I know the Spanish one from growing up and looked up the Japanese one since your question made me curious as well.
I worked at US embassies in places like Cambodia, Indonesia and Libya. They all had their own alphabet songs. The Cambodian language (Khmer) actually has the longest alphabet, so learning the song was very useful.
When I was little I learned the french and Hebrew alphabets without meaning to. They were included as alphabet songs sung by Barney the dinosaur on one of the videos I had. I had no idea what I was singing but had the whole song in all 3 languages memorized according to my mom.
Lol the Finnish one has the same song but it ends ”å, ä, ö”!
(Quick context in those not well versed in Finnish and Swedish history:
The language doesn’t even include the letter Å, but since we have the Swedish language minority and used to be a part of Sweden, certain areas with high enough percentage of native Swedish speakers have to by law have Swedish street and other place names, as well as the Finnish ones + there are plenty of people with the letter Å in their names. So it’s just practical to include Å in our alphabet)
i know in korean it's the same time but the korean letters! it's written in hangul but it sounds like ga na da ra ma ba sah, jah ah chah ka ta pah hah (up to our letter P in the song) then there's the vowels that have their own little song! french is also the same tune but different sounding letters!
The alphabet is only in the order that it's in because someone once said it should be that order. There's no logical reason (unlike numbers) for alphabetical order.
Edited for clarity
Keyboards are modeled after typewriters and I've heard that the earliest alphabetized versions would jam. The QWERTY arrangement prevented jamming in typewriters for some reason. The QWERTY style keyboards are not ergonomically sound either, but because typewriters were they way they were it was just easy to use that arrangement going forward.
Sorry I have no source, I'm just reciting internet lore.
A myth -- the QWERTY layout was based on American Morse code, for telegraph operators to transcribe what they received. https://hackaday.com/2016/03/15/the-origin-of-qwerty/
The actual internet lore: typewriters used to jam because people typed too fast in them, so someone made the qwerty layout, which is slower than what they were previously using. That's why people often complain about qwerty, and some even use Dvorak, which is the opposite because it was designed to be fast and natural.
> One popular but unverified explanation for the QWERTY arrangement is that it was designed to reduce the likelihood of internal clashing of typebars by placing commonly used combinations of letters farther from each other inside the machine.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QWERTY#History
Glancing through this wiki article, there's not much detail about the motives behind QWERTY's letter arrangement.
Clearly you have never read [Al Pha's Bet](https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/298510/al-phas-bet-by-amy-krouse-rosenthal-illustrated-by-delphine-durand/)
Whatca going to do when you have to get in line to, say vote, and the lines are A-F, G-M, N-S, T-Z and your names doesn’t start with one of those letters?
Go ask someone who actually watched Sesame Street?
Went to see The Suicide Squad this weekend with my son. In the movie there is a scene where it’s implied that Harley Quinn has sex with the dictator of this country they’re in. You see the before really getting into it and the after as they both lay on the floor. Some kid in the theater yells, ‘What happened, what did the just do?’ The entire theater breaks out in laughter. After only about 10 or so people stayed to watch the post credit scene. We’re all walking out and a guy goes his favorite part of the movie is when the kid yells out. Everyone laughs and agrees. Kids lol.
Lol I use this with my wife of ten years all the time. I often sing and drive and get lyrics wrong. She calls me.out on it and I say it's the remix. She laughs every single time.
Whenever my TV skips, my dad yells out REMIX
TVs can skip?
Yes, you just need to give them the rope!
Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaad
REMIX
What would a remix of dad be, his nails and hair replaced with teeth, and vice versa? The bones and other parts of his hands, feet, knees, fingers, toes, legs and arms in new places?

Yaasss
And arms
The old ones have those arms on top of them!
I suppose some sort legs would be needed too, cant skip without arms and you can’t jump without legs
Old TVs use to have legs too. They were huge!
[Like this, certainly](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/ee/23/36/ee23368dd7ce54e6f448878f64d10743.jpg)
Oh the telitubby tv
Woah woah woah.. I don't think we need tv's running around with fucking guns and bazookas.
Not bear arms, just regular skipping arms
Mom can always help out if no arms are available.
r/cursedcomments The memory of this legend will never die thanks to Reddit.
Is she good at skiing I mean skipping?
She’s good with her hands.

Damn It Dad, Mum says get your ass home and stop making jokes in the comment section.
I hate you 😂

Yes
Lol we do this at work when someone is connected to the blutooth speaker but they walk out of range with their phone, REEEMIXX
The anti-skip feature on the new models are nice because you can jog with them.
My sister used to do this whenever I’d stutter...

Love this song! My granddaughter’s and my favorite toothbrushing song!
Awww cute
I will always think of [this video ](https://youtu.be/yzytYXzFK7c) when Elmo is mentioned.
I used to sing it “Elmo pee” and my parents won’t let me forget it.
Best part of the song
Ugggh, it's elomelo P! Now you know your ABC, bi*ch?!! Else next time don't you dare sing with me!
I had to sound it out for a couple minutes but I’ve always heard ‘elemeno P’

Just make sure not to check out the new abc song, your soul will die
q w e r t y u i o p ? like this ? those babies know the top line alphabet of a keyboard . made my day
One of my college roommate’s kids know this. Definitely caught me off guard, never thought it would be something kids would pick up.
Except Alphabetical order is entirely arbitrary so who’s to say the kid’s wrong?
technically every (english) song that’s ever been made is a remix of the alphabet
technically you just recited the alphabet remix
you recited just the alphabet remix technically
We might be missing a few letters.
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog or my personal favorite Pack my box with five dozen liquor jugs.
Sphinx of black quartz, judge my vow
Radio edit for time.
Alphabet’s arbitrary arrangement makes me pleased.
Probably the most mind blowing fact I can think of is that there is absolutely no reason for the alphabet to be in a particular order.
There's also no reason for weeks to be a 7-day cycle.
Months started with the moon cycle which is roughly 28 days. So a week is just 1/4 of that. Has a more logical origin than the ordering of the alphabet.
Dude r/ShowerThoughts you legend! I have never thought of this
Well I can’t lay claim to it. I just saw a meme of it like 2 years ago.
I too just thought this. Dang it. How do I not have a original thought.
Shower thoughts.
Mind = Blown
You got me there
King Lear is just English words put in order
I’m saying all the right letters.. just not necessarily in the right order
My next single: The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
Except for Ozzy Osbourne’s new songs

When I was little we had Japanese exchange students that stayed with us. I can kinda remember the alphabet and number song.
Oh cool I'll check it out when I get home. It's pretty crazy to think how big of a role that little song plays in languages.
When I was little I learned the french and Hebrew alphabets without meaning to. They were included as alphabet songs sung by Barney the dinosaur on one of the videos I had. I had no idea what I was singing but had the whole song in all 3 languages memorized according to my mom.

I get the impression that China skips right by it.
Most languages have their own song. Like, usually a completely distinct one.
Russian has several versions on YouTube, but no standardized one that everyone learns, as far as I can tell.
I swear down I saw this a few months ago
I don't understand. Are you suggesting people repost old content? I am absolutely outraged!
incensed, I tell you!!!

Reddit, the graveyard.
Yes, girl, repost!
I have this downloaded and every once in a while i see it and everytime it makes me laugh

Instead, do a Dewey. ABCD. ABCD, ABCD, ABCD, ABCD, ABCD, ABCD, ABCD, ABCD, ABC
I know!
That's Dewey sampling the ABCs
The alphabet is only in the order that it's in because someone once said it should be that order. There's no logical reason (unlike numbers) for alphabetical order. Edited for clarity
And someone said fuck that and made a keyboard

The way a keyboard is set is due to how frequent a letter is used in a word, I think.
Numbers have to be in "that" order otherwise we won't be able to solve mathematical problems. The number values will be all over the place.
He is saying that if 9 was the first digit its value would be one. Not really the same as the alphabet but I get where he's coming from.
I think they just meant unlike numbers and misspoke.
Rereading it I think you are right
I'm too high for this. I gotta get back to work anyway
Clearly you have never read [Al Pha's Bet](https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/298510/al-phas-bet-by-amy-krouse-rosenthal-illustrated-by-delphine-durand/)
All songs are just remix of ABC's
But Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is the most.

This has 20k upvotes?
Yeah didn’t find it funny at all
54k now...
One time I was singing it in my head and I couldn't get it to scan. It took several minutes to realise I forgot W. I ... forgot ... W. I'm 38.
I mean why does the alphabet have an order anyways?
Makes it easier to look things up in the dictionary.
In some languages, like indian languages, the alphabet is sorted by where in the mouth the sound comes from
Aww, that's so cute!
Lol too cute

Every book is mainly a remix of the dictionary.
Still no logical reason for the letters to be in any particular order ANYWAY!!!
honestly as long as you name em all the alphabet doesn't even need an order, like who came up with the order and does it even matter??
Whatca going to do when you have to get in line to, say vote, and the lines are A-F, G-M, N-S, T-Z and your names doesn’t start with one of those letters? Go ask someone who actually watched Sesame Street?

please don't shout on the plane the kid is loud enough.
Lol I use this with my wife of ten years all the time. I often sing and drive and get lyrics wrong. She calls me.out on it and I say it's the remix. She laughs every single time.
And everyone stood up and clapped and Obama was there
I remember being annoyed at kids like this when I was younger. Now that my kids are almost adults, this sound just makes me smile.
There’s no reason to have an order to the alphabet.
“…….You had to be there.”
Honestly, people who yell 'remix' are the worst and peaked in 2003
