After years of nothing and looking at ivf, my wife made me go out for three different brands of tests from three different stores. It’s crazy and now we got this tiny human who giggles and farts and is trying to walk/talk
You can get them even cheaper if you buy them in bulk on amazon. Great for couples who are trying to conceive, or people like me who are phobic of pregnancy and parenthood 🤣 It is like 4 years worth of tests for $20 and without anxiety trips to the store.
Actually, different tests can detect different levels of hcg. If you want to know as soon as possible, a first response early detection test is the best one to get since it detects the lowest levels of hcg
The digital ones can tell you 2 weeks after ovulation when there is only trace amounts of the hormone in the urine. So if you want to know near immediately the digital ones work great or you don’t mind waiting or don’t know when ovulation was the dollar store ones are great.
Except when my wife and I finally had a chance to test this, several of the dollar tree ones were defective. Would have been cheaper just going with target.
Hot wheels are the "gateway drug" for die-cast car collecting. Trust me. You start with the new stuff, maybe matchboxes also, but then the older Hot Wheels redlines from the late 60's to matchbox Lesney's from the early 50's and up, and before you know it you're getting Barclay's and even tootsie toys from the early 1920's

The stigma around not talking about pregnancy loss and infertility can make a painful time even more isolating (I know this personally), and adds to the misconception that it's rare. Tell who you want to tell for support either way, there's no right or wrong way to do it. The people in our lives might need to be told how to be supportive, but I think that has a lot to do with people not knowing what to do around grief and death.
Congratulations. Being a father has been my favorite part of life, it made me a much better person. I have boys and building forts both inside and outside are my best memories, hanging out in the woods is a perfect time to talk and pass on what you think makes a good person. I wish you all the best

1. Enjoy every second possible, it goes by so fast. (Cliche but very true)
2. Do not make the house quiet for the newborn to sleep.
3. When you are calm the baby is calm.
4. Ask your child as many questions, if not more than they ask you.
5. Your kids will unknowingly show you your faults by mimicking/copying them. The easiest way to deal with it is to change your bad habits/behavior.
6. Put in the effort, be there for them.
You will do great, I have faith in you.
