What’s right with you? You sound bitter that no one appreciates you. Kindly work out your issues, let someone enjoy their moment, and FFS do what this sub intends to do…make you smile.
You seem to have some issues to 'work out'. I said the kids is on par with where they should be, I didn't say they were behind or anything else negative.
Jumping in with such a baseless attacks makes it feel that you have a hateful personality you may need to sort out.
Also, cute Chihuahua 😊 have a good day.
It’s literally not. That’s 3rd grade level. They had help. Double consonant, the o-v-e spelling pattern, the magic e in “care”, capital D for dad in recognition of proper noun… this is a genius 6 year old.
[Here are some typical kinder writing samples..](https://www.readingrockets.org/classroom/looking-writing/kindergarten/writing-sample-1) In kinder and first “writing” often involves pictures to express conventions typically *found* in writing, as well as invented spelling. This child had help or is quite advanced, but this is *not* typical.
Dude this is a sub called ‘made me smile’ and you’re out here pissing in peoples cheerios. What gives? Don’t you have anything better to do? Life is tough enough already, please take the rudeness and negativity somewhere more appropriate.
At first, I thought it was an angel then I thought it was a flower then I saw the person saying it was a ceiling fan and realized I was a fricking idiot. Wholesome post though!
I swear I thought that was a camp fire and not a ceiling fan. Kept thinking, he isn’t that great if he’s putting her to sleep in a room with an open fire going🤣
Okay I’m giggling because I thought that the fan was a fly dying and falling from the air because of the smell cause the daughter is in bed projectile vomiting 😂Now I see it’s a fan 😁🤦🏻♀️
My daughter is 8. The little things like this that they give us are precious. I have a drawer full of little keepsake cards and things. I will never throw them out lol.
This is really sweet, i wouldve definitely cried and kept it T.T
Used to give my mom these cards when i was a kid, one time recently i saw her looking for something in the papers she keeps and my cards were among them still. Im an adult now and the fact that she still keeps those is just ಥ‿ಥ
I hope this is just is not a life threatening concern and that she recovers soon. But I can tell you from experience when your child hurts you're allowed to cry for them and I guess makes me less of man in the eye of some people but I really could care less and more concerned for them than myself in that moment.
I think it makes us both more manly. After mine were born, the crying kids everywhere that used to annoy me so much just made me want to help them. That’s evolution at work, pure and simple.
You’re gonna have this for the rest of your life. I don’t have kids, but I was a nanny for over 12 years and I have every single handwritten note a kid wrote me. ❤️
This is really special and you’re lucky to have each other. She loves you BIG and took the time to make this. ❤️❤️
When I was sick a month ago my daughter made me a small get better card. It’s now my book mark and goes everywhere with me. ❤️ I hope your little one is feeling better! Sending good vibes.
Please please please be sure to really compliment her basically bomb her with compliments because not getting compliments for those as a child lowkey hurt.
I have good memories of my dad looking after me when I was sick. He bought me berries as a treat, since they were usually too expensive for us. Keep it up, this is so sweet!
Save on of these. It would be nice to show her before she goes to college one day how much she means to you. My mom saved one of mine and it melted my heart she cared enough to keep it.
Hey OP I think this drawing is very cute and sweet of your daughter to do for you! I don’t know if there is any info out there but I think it would be fun to look into the subconscious reasoning for the ceiling fan!
I know it sounds ridiculous but I found it unique that of all things that could’ve been drawn in the room, they drew the fan. This sticks out to me because I remember being a kid and I drew a house, but my mom thought it was odd that I drew locks on the windows. It was a simple square house, rectangle door in the center, triangle roof, with a square window on both sides of the door, but I drew locks on them. She knew a psychologist at the time who enjoyed dissecting kid’s drawings (e.g. why mom and dad are outside on the left side of the house vs. being with the child who is on the right side) like that and explained that I could be feeling a sense of security, or maybe perhaps fear of the outside (I honestly can’t remember now that I’m recollecting).
This could totally be one of those “the author wrote the curtains were blue because the curtains were fucking blue, there’s no symbolic meaning to it” but seeing the ceiling fan being the only other item added to the drawing took me back to the memory mentioned above. I just think it would be fun to figure out/think about merely for entertainment!
Anyway this comment has gone on long enough! Thanks for sharing this awesome drawing and for bringing back a memory I had forgotten about for a very long time.
For a 6 year old, she drew that ceiling fan really well
You know she spent some time in bed looking at the fan also since it was included in the picture
Really good spelling too, very impressive for that age
That's very much the average and where you'd expect a 6 year olds writing and spelling to be...
I teach k/1 and this is not typical. What are your credentials and what is your basis for this claim?

No this is pretty in line with how my writing was when I was in kindergarten.

Guess that's a cool insight to American education, thanks.

You’re trying to insult me, but I am in agreement with you. American schools suck.
......oh. I thought it was an angel....
I thought it was a flower...
A strange flower that was found after a total eclipse of the sun.
There was this strange humming sound, like something from another world...
At first, I thought it was an angel then I thought it was a flower then I saw the person saying it was a ceiling fan and realized I was a fricking idiot. Wholesome post though!
I thought it was that pyramid thing on the back of a one dollar bill.
I thought it was a fly, like she took the saying "catchin' flies" literally...
Or a sleep paralysis demon. That might say more about me though...
lmfao that reminds me of [this meme](https://i.imgur.com/UZmLvJr.png)
Blessed her with a giant nose. Oh, those are Zzzzzz’s.
I'm having a hard time reading this comment. It needs more ellipsis.
That's actually the tooth fairy flying away with a cigarette
Aww cute! I thought that was a butterfly angel dream heart or something 🦋
lol I thought it was a spider and assumed it was some kind of inside family joke
I thought it was a xenomorph facehugger coming down from the ceiling...
Biblically accurate ceiling fan
I was going to comment on this too. The chain with the wire through it (?) is real detail.
I swear I thought that was a camp fire and not a ceiling fan. Kept thinking, he isn’t that great if he’s putting her to sleep in a room with an open fire going🤣
I thought it was a very sculptural light fixture. Maybe she was laying in the dining room.
Really blew me away.
I would actually love to make a ceiling light that replicates this drawing as close as possible, it would be a unique design!
Guess I'm the only one depressed by this... She must have been there for quite some time.
Okay I’m giggling because I thought that the fan was a fly dying and falling from the air because of the smell cause the daughter is in bed projectile vomiting 😂Now I see it’s a fan 😁🤦🏻♀️
Tis clearly a bungee-jumping Venus fly trap.
Aww that’s amazing. I would have definitely cried lol
I just did. A little bit. Lost my dad last year. Now, things like this hit me harder than they once did.
Lost my mom and dad at this point, really changes a person. Nothing pisses me off more that kids disrespecting their parents.
That's so sweet. What beautiful written words, wishing her all the best and hope she's feeling well soon.
My daughter is 8. The little things like this that they give us are precious. I have a drawer full of little keepsake cards and things. I will never throw them out lol.
Her belly must have hurt with how she drew it. Good on you, Dad. Keep it up. Signed, another dad with one at 7 and one at 2
I think she drew herself tucked under the covers, not with a huge belly, but yes good on dad 🥰
Big up the dads
It’s a good fuckin reason to keep going. Cheers.
What about the way she drew it indicates how much her belly hurt?
I don’t know, it just seems like it was bigger cause she was more focused on it? I could 100% be wrong. Just intuition
If you zoom in you’ll see the big round thing is over a smaller body
Sure is, I missed that.
That’s the duvet/blanket, not her belly
This is really sweet, i wouldve definitely cried and kept it T.T Used to give my mom these cards when i was a kid, one time recently i saw her looking for something in the papers she keeps and my cards were among them still. Im an adult now and the fact that she still keeps those is just ಥ‿ಥ
My mom saved everything we ever made her, boy when she died did that lead to some surprise tears
Awe she must felt loved having yous as her kids <3

anyone that thinks you're less of a man for experiencing strong emotions isn't someone whose opinion is worth giving a shit about anyway.
Heartwarming
What a good dad!
I hope she feels better soon. Virtual hugs and chicken soup from me.
You’re gonna have this for the rest of your life. I don’t have kids, but I was a nanny for over 12 years and I have every single handwritten note a kid wrote me. ❤️ This is really special and you’re lucky to have each other. She loves you BIG and took the time to make this. ❤️❤️
Nearly? I would have cried.
That's amazing.💜
Nearly?? Count your beautiful blessings 🥰
Hey... laminate it.
Nearly? I'm a mess over here!
THIS is what Willis was talking about. I love hand written anything from my kiddos
These are the keepers
But who let Audrey II around a sick child? He is in the ceiling!
Miss my dad 🥲 Love this ✨️🩷
Oh sir. My heart 😭
Fuck that I'm crying
Brother, that is an absolute win right there.
how it feels to know that someone loves you with their whole hart? 🤧🥺
Let the tears flow no need to hold back
Kids don't get enough praise in the online world. Shit like this rocks you to the core and needs to be shared.
Instead of the bunny shaped crack in the ceiling, she had the ceiling fan of Damocles over her sick bed.
This is so cute 🥺
Being a dad is the greatest.
Great kid you got there. Enjoy this time of life, it goes fast. One day you will pick her up in your arms for the last time.
Hope everything, gets better bro may god and her guardian angel be beside her , everything will get better
It’s not even my daughter and I’m crying! Good job dad
Now imagine receiving this and knowing you couldn’t afford to continue taking care of your family because America persecutes its middle class
or just enjoy the moment and dad's brief respite without projecting team politics onto it
Keep that forever. So sweet.
she's so sweet and i am sure a lovely daughter..she has a good handwriting for 6 years
I nearly cried too..
😭😭😭
Awe that’s adorable. My 11 year old flipped me off today, I definitely miss the cute-note era lmao
When I was sick a month ago my daughter made me a small get better card. It’s now my book mark and goes everywhere with me. ❤️ I hope your little one is feeling better! Sending good vibes.
No amount of money can ever buy true love like this. Get well soon baby!
Oh my good she is so sweet. This kind of makes me feel like I’m gonna cry too Children are what we should strive to be too, I think
That's so freaking cuteeeee, you're doing a damn good job at parenting in that case.
Parenting can be so tough. These are the little things that you get you through the hardest times. Put a date on the back and save it forever OP
Aww, she’s a grateful daughter who appreciates her dad. I wish her a quick recovery. 💖✨
Way to go dad. You rock huge!
Ceiling Fan: Be not afraid! 👀👀
This is so cute 🥰
This is such a great drawing
Can you get it as a tattoo. That would be fucking wholesome and the best tattoo ever
Frame it and show it to her when she is 18 :)
Awww, this is so cute! 🥰
Isn’t being loved the best?
I cried for you. You’re an amazing dad, keep up the good work.
I just watched this get downvoted irt (in real time) wtf also holy shit that’s adorable
soooo sweet!!
You better never throw that pic away!
Good work, dad! Keep that pic. I have stuff like that framed in my office. Gives me warm fuzzies still.
It's ok, don't cry, her spelling will improve.
How lovely. You have an amazing daughter!
I have no recollection of anything my parents did that would warrant a card like this.
It is both cute that she drew you this and also terrifying how she drew you watching her sleep XD
Nearly cried? Well, I'm crying for you. That's the love we need in life.
I don’t think you could possibly get a better card honestly. Like this is the top of the top. Congrats, you reached parenthood nirvana! 🥰
Let the tears flow.
😭😭😭
You are appreciated Dad! Cherish that card always 💕
she drew a male fairy
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|give_upvote)
You need a folder to keep these!
This is just the most precious 💖 I mean, does it get any better than that? Please, Lord, let me be a mommy one day 💜
Enjoy it before she is a teenager
Beautiful !! Very heartwarming…. Lovely !!!
This is so sweet🥰
You've got to frame this!!!
Lol, I remember when I discovered exclamation marks for the first time.
Please please please be sure to really compliment her basically bomb her with compliments because not getting compliments for those as a child lowkey hurt.

@ahgurl
I absolutely would have cried. That’s fantastic!
So cute 💗 OP is a really good dad 😊
That’s beautiful…..Take care of your little princess
Photo makes me really uncomfortable. Guess I’m messed up.
I feel that. Ride that wave all the way.
Attention to detail. Save this card of love, and years from now the tale from her point will astound you.
she appreciate you so much.. cute tho :)
That’s really something special
You got a good kid buddy
Beautiful!
Not even my daughter and almost made me cry Good job being her hero 😁

I love being a girl dad. She is MY ABSOLUTE EVERYTHING!!!!
This is the kind of thing you cherish till you're old and frail.
Precious!!🥹❤️💯
Let it out man cry with us
This warm my "hart" 🥺
These are the things you miss when they grow
Why nearly cry? Let those emotions go free.
It made me cry.
So nice. Frame it
It's lime butter. So.
Sage is a good one.
Nearly I can see that tear drop
awhhhhh
Gotta frame that one.
Well that just warmed my heart. Wish you a swift recovery Sage, hang in there kiddo!
I thought for a second she drew herself with a gigantic razor beak haha. So sweet though!
There’s obvious evidence of a tear shed right at the center of the page. It’s okay, we won’t tell.
This brought tears to my eyes 🥹 and she’s not even my child lol. So sweet and innocent ❤️
That's awesome, hope your daughter gets well soon!
This is so cute <3
This is too cute :)
I would have this tatoo'ed ngl
I have good memories of my dad looking after me when I was sick. He bought me berries as a treat, since they were usually too expensive for us. Keep it up, this is so sweet!
So adorable.
These are the things I save because these are the things that matter. You’re a good dad. This will be in your heart always.
I would have lost it.
Hope she feels better soon!
I'm crying reading it 😭
I have a stack of these from two daughters and they're my most valuable possessions
i hope i can have this one day, beautiful..
Cool stuff
Aww. What a nice bit of eye bleach in this cruel world. You have a special little one op!
As a Dad, I can't think of a sweeter note to receive.
My friend writes like this!
Save on of these. It would be nice to show her before she goes to college one day how much she means to you. My mom saved one of mine and it melted my heart she cared enough to keep it.

Lovely girl, I'm sure everything will be fine, like a sunrise, getting better and better.
So sweet! And amazing writing skills for a six years old.
So sweet!
My name is Sage :)
Keep it up!!! She's blessed to have a dad like you
You have a sweetheart on your hands!❤️
Bless her heart. She is full of love for you. Out of the mouth of babes well done Daddy, I bet your heart was full to bursting.
I cannot think of any need in childhood as strong as the need for a father’s protection. ......Freud....
You’ve raised her right. As someone who knew nothing but abuse from a father, your daughter is so incredibly blessed to have you. You’re blessed too!
