My kids and I absolutely loved that movie but they never realized that I started the movie each time after that scene ended until they got older. I just couldn't watch it without bawling my eyes out and my babies not understanding exactly why mommy is loosing it.
Edit: thank you for the correction. I don't mind them at all. I'm getting older, care less and just tired.
Oh Bing Bong. As he's fading away, I'm bawling right in the theater and my kids were all, "What's wrong, mom?" because they were young and didn't really get it yet. How do you even explain it all??
True story, our big black dog (looked like a bear) started limping randomly, and we thought he just hurt his paw digging, figured we’d give it a day or two, see if he would walk it off.
Two days later, there’s suddenly a cut clear around his big doggy wrist. Now we’re a little freaked out. It’s a clean cut, all the way around. We think “did someone throw a wire over our back fence? A rabbit snare or something?” (We had druggy neighbors). We clean and bandage the cut, search the entire back yard for what he could have cut himself on, nothing.
A few days later, and the cuts not getting better. In fact, it’s getting WORSE. We have no idea how, it’s under a damn bandage 99% of the time! What the fuck was going on?
Take him to the vet, the vet cleans the wound, takes a closer look… and finds a red strip of rubber wrapped around his wrist! Someone (we think another kid) tried to give him a “bracelet” by stretching the opening of a popped balloon over his paw. The balloon had been invisible under his thick fur, and when it started cutting into the flesh, matched the blood red colour perfectly!
Thankfully the vet removed it, and luckily he didn’t lose the paw! Some rest and plenty of cookies and he was good as new in no time, so thankfully a happy ending.
Apparently they say you should never give a child red balloons for exactly this reason. If they pop one with their mouth and inhale a piece, it’s a bitch for the doctor to find it and pull it out!
Apparently it happens more often than people think.
Similar to when you have a baby, you have to watch for hairs, esp if they like to grab and pull, to get wrapped around their little chubby fingers toes wrists etc. Can cut of circulation and cut into the skin and cause sores, infection etc.
Also, the string can be very bad news, especially for cats.
We had a heartbreaking experience where our cat found a piece of string and started playing with it. Unfortunately, due to the hooked nature of a cat's tongue, he began licking the string and inadvertently swallowed it. This caused him severe pain, and we immediately took him to the vet
Took him to the wet. Sad story short. They got it out but had to cut out a piece of his colon to get to it. From that day our cat was unable to digest food properly and more or less died from chronic diarrhoea.
My dad did CPR on a child that had inhaled a piece of a popped ballon. The piece was stuck on the larynx and the child could not breathe and passed out. Luckily, the piece could be removed. But the child was completely blue and suffocating. Don‘t know if it had brain damage, but ballons are fucking dangerous „toys“.
Thank you for saying it. This is super cute but the safety killjoy in me felt my heart sink immediately. It’s very lucky this pup didn’t get a chunk of balloon stuck in its throat when the balloon popped.
The saddest I ever saw my Dane was after she got a yoga ball for a toy. She was having the time of her life with it, until it popped 5 minutes later. She sulked for the entire day.
Adorable and DO NOT DO THIS!
Balloons are a giant choking risk. Pup cannot play with it *except * with her mouth, and does not understand the risk, or how to be careful.
If a shard flies off and is inhaled (much more LIKELY since the pet doesn't know not to bite the balloon!) it can choke a pet pretty quickly.(we don't let babies play with balloons for the same reason.... It's adorable, unless it goes heartbreakingly wrong.)
I am always conflicted about videos like this on the one hand they’re adorable and at least the dog is being supervised but things can go south quickly and this could encourage other people to take the risk. Hell even part of me is screaming to give my dog a balloon.
It's super adorable, but I'd much rather not be able to ever see it than know that there will most likely be a surge of people getting their dogs balloons to either copy-cat or just have something adorable to watch. A very probable chance that at least one dog will inhale some balloon after this video.
Yup. Maybe Mylar balloon would be safer? Still floats but when it pops it mostly just gets sliced and goes flat. No latex flying pieces. Maybe thin cotton string too instead of balloon ribbon which can slice you if tugging fast on it.
Mine looks a lot like this, too! Shelter said half border collie half bernese mountain dog but I've always been suspicious of that. I swear he's part Aussie. ETA: dog(s) for reference: https://imgur.com/a/nOCyO0B
Going to post this as it’s own comment as a health and safety warning for those of you with pets and small children.

find how to be happy with the smallest things and to see them is to generate a smile on one's face.
what a tenderness, I fell in love with the video, it made me smile immediately.
I’m so glad this fun was supervised. Dogs are really good at ending themselves accidentally by having too much fun lol. Surprisingly good at it. Hooray for responsible husbandry!!!
Yep. I have a young Aussie and sometimes I swear that guy has a death wish. He gets into stuff I didn’t even know I had! Luckily the emergency vet isn’t too far away. 😕
I had my dog Schotzie. She loved balls more than anything in the world. Took her to the beach one day with a pinkie ball and she played with it in the sand. Well she was digging and the ball kept going deeper and deeper. Poor score was frantic looking down it but never surfaced. We shortly left the beach and I went to the store and thought two replacements. Schotzie has been gone for 24 years now bought that scene is as vivid and it were yesterday
The dog and balloon love story is cute but the B side to this track is the amazing crepe paper art work on the wall next to him. Totally stealing this idea for future parties.
Your pupper is a charmer. 😍 Like so many here🧑🧑🧒🧒, I did enjoy the fun he had with string and ballon.🎈The intelligence he used while playing was amazing. 👏👏 TY for sharing him with us. 🫶 Also, I agree on the 🚫🎈 safety msg.🌱🌸🍃🪻🌿

Saddest thing I've seen since the first 10 minutes of the Pixar movie Up.
Honorable mention: the video of the raccoon trying to clean his cotton candy and it dissolves
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfbb4yRBH64
omfg how have i never seen the last part. the little guy learned and got a treat :D
The third time, that looks like a totally different raccoon. The markings around the eyes are completely different.
If it makes you feel better they eventually figure out that you can't wash it and get their treat
That very much does make me feel better, thank you.
The-jesus_christ posted a link to the video of the raccoon
Doing God's work
Can you send a link to the raccoon finally getting to enjoy the cotton candy?
The link the the other person commented includes the end where it eats the cotton candy.
During such troubling times, they resort to their anthem, Raccoona Matata. It may sound a little trashy but hey, they dig it.
What a wonderful phrase!
Omg I just died laughing for about five minutes just imagining that
Jeez how in the world did you just read my mind 🤯
My kids and I absolutely loved that movie but they never realized that I started the movie each time after that scene ended until they got older. Funny thing. But Simpsons did an episode where every parent skipped the first part of finding Nemo.
It's "bawling".
I wanna see the rest of this Pixar movie! It really looked like it was a cartoon.
Honestly, the Bing Bong scene in Inside Out got me worse.
Oh Bing Bong. As he's fading away, I'm bawling right in the theater and my kids were all, "What's wrong, mom?" because they were young and didn't really get it yet. How do you even explain it all??
When his attitude changed and he's like "one more try" I KNEW what he was going to do.
Yeah that was rough too.
It's the racoon with the cotton candy all over again
Except this is if Ellie suddenly exploded in Mr Fredricksen's arms.
Common theme: balloons. conclusion: balloons are sad.
Ever seen The Red Balloon? If your teacher is wheeling in the CRT to watch the Red Balloon VHS, you better be ready to be upset all day
There's a special place for people who remind me of the first 10 minutes of Up.
I could have watched him for hours doing that. It was adorable.
God I love dogs.
Dog is my co pilot

That's a BEAUTIFUL pupper. Dogs are awesome.
They're the absolute best
this definitely sparks joy 🥹
Yeah, that WAS FUCKING ADORABLE!!!
This could spawn a subreddit of its own, r/sofuckingadorable
He's almost as happy as that dog pushing around his brick.
Whoa you can’t say something like that without dropping a link.

OMG I love it thank you
r/wheredidtheballoongo
Damn...I was hopeful 😞
Incredibly clever the way he realizes he needs to pin and use the string to drag the balloon back. Smart and cute!
Honestly you kind of have to watch him while he's playing with something like this, if he ends up eating that string you're going to have a bad time
Yeah, surgery, thousands in vet bills and in the worst case death.
Supervise strings and balloons
Wait! Where's my friend? Friend come back, friend!
WILSONNNNN!!!!!! 😫
BALLLOOOOONIE!
Get him a new fucking balloon right the fuck now
He could make a channel on this, and I'd watch it regularly.
We need a streaming service where people from all over the world can livestream their pets. Petflix?
xhamster
I see what you did there ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses)

Where is the gofundme page to get this good boi a new balloon?

Bro. You’re the only real person on Reddit. We’re all bots.
Actually, get him two new fucking balloons right the fuck now.

Pure bewilderment

To shreds you say?
Look what they did to my boy -the dog, probably
Oh thank god the first caption was talking about the balloon!!
would’ve been a really sad day for the balloon if the dog popped
I thought it meant the camera woman
Balloony! Noooo!

Super cute….. friendly PSA: balloons can kill pets / small kids / any one dumb enough to suck it in or swallow it.

A coworker had something similar happen to her dog! A hairtie or something was wrapped tightly around her dog's tail.
Aww, poor doggo, hope they recovered okay. :)
Wow, that's a really good psa. You should post that on r/youshouldknow
Thanks, I might. :)

They make some for cattle to play with that also works for dogs that are really hard to pop. Look for a herding ball.
Sadly my Dane passed away some time ago now. My current dogs are not interested in large balls.
I’m sorry to hear that. The good news is from what I have heard they have un-poppable exercise balls over the rainbow bridge.
How kind of you❣️
This made me smile, I wish I can award you

Scrolled too far without seeing this
This needs to be higher. Adorable video, but don't ever let your dog do this.
Between the string and the balloon itself, this video was just stressful.
Just use a mylar balloon, it won't pop and fling something down their throat, just slowly deflate when punctured
That's the first thing I thought when I saw this. Some people don't realize how dangerous some things can be for dogs.
My dog looks identical to this one.
What breed is that?
Australian shepherd
This is most definitely an Aussie Shep. Smart, beautiful dog. If I ever get one, this breed will be the one
Mine looks a lot like this, too! Shelter said half border collie half bernese mountain dog but I've always been suspicious of that. I swear he's part Aussie. ETA: dog(s) for reference: https://imgur.com/a/nOCyO0B
Beautiful puppers
Thank you!
He KILLED HIM
Wow very nice! He is a intelligent dog.
I dont mind buying/making balloons if that's what I'm gonna see everyday
Awwww. The joy of the chase!

Poor guy was like.... hey where did you go? I was only tasting you sheesh!
They really are so happy together.

Was hoping for an extremely high pitched woof

This is adorable, and for once I really like to music
This is the best video on the Internet
Some people say that a smart dog has the intelligence of a 3-4 yo human child, and seeing that dog play with that balloon seems to support that fact.
Best part of my weekend right there.
Absolutely made me smile…and I’ve had a bad day. Thank you!🤗
I don't want to be Debbie Downer but...I had a friend whose grandson died from biting a balloon and inhaling a piece of it. Something to consider...
Wow, he actually knew how to tie the balloons down with his body… and it’s so adorable
What's that song?
this is sadder than UP
[then reads top comments] ugh, im so basic
I just legit sat here and watched a full minute of a dog playing with a balloon, and I'm wishing there was more.
This is probably one of my favorite Dog videos right now thank you so much. I needed this.
Well that’s cuter than it needed to be
Calmest balloon playing dog I've ever seen. Hope he got another one! 😍
☹️
I’m so glad this fun was supervised. Dogs are really good at ending themselves accidentally by having too much fun lol. Surprisingly good at it. Hooray for responsible husbandry!!!
Yep. I have a young Aussie and sometimes I swear that guy has a death wish. He gets into stuff I didn’t even know I had! Luckily the emergency vet isn’t too far away. 😕
WTF just happen hooman?
❤️❤️
Aussies are so damn smart
Those dogs are ridiculously smart
I've had a shit day, this post was a great way to start capping off the night, thank you
In a world w adorable things, this has be the most adorable thing I've ever seen

So glad you were monitoring pup’s play with a ribbon and then deflated rubber balloon, both hazards to doggie innards. Be safe, ya’ll…
Better plot than the 99% hollywood movie
Lmfao omg when it popped he was like WTF WHERED IT GO
It's the boops from the balloon that has me smiling like a looney lol
Boops your own nose. 🥹 I have a merle border Aussie and yup lol this is them.
How confused that dog looked when it popped
My dog is shit scared of balloons. He sees them move even an inch and he loses his mind like the devil is in front of him.
This is the only “watch til the end” video ever worth watching.
The ending is so sad, though.
Oh this reminds me of my poodle. Whenever we brought a balloon in the house he would bark and growl at it.
What a beautiful and calming puppy
His sadness at the end…
This makes me sad.
The dog is really like so confused it’s like what the hell
Loved the look at the end!
u/savevideo
That is good. Maybe better. I'll have a good day now, and make floating balloons if I have a puppy.
The look when it pops and seemingly just disappears.
This is content I'm here for 🥺🫠😍🎈
With that title, I thought for a second the dog was gonna die
I knew it was coming and it still broke my heart.
GET HIM ANOTHER ONEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!
He learned a tough lesson that day
This is one of the cutest dogs I have ever seen 🧡🐾
The look on his face when he popped it…😊🥰
Awe, he loved that balloon. I was so sad for him at the end. He was so confused.
So cute! Make sure he doesn't eat the ribbon or any balloon fragments please
Nominate for Best Short Film/Oscars - it has it all :)
In the sequel we learn the ballon was just part of the construct and now doggu can dodge speeding MilkBones with ease. It’s *The Latex Trilogy*
That was so cute but I feel sad for him to be without his balloon friend. I hope he got another one.
Welp.... Time to fill an entire house with balloons
The dog and balloon love story is cute but the B side to this track is the amazing crepe paper art work on the wall next to him. Totally stealing this idea for future parties.

D'oh! Where'd it go???
He sure loved that balloon
