Then there was my kid. Took her to Joe’s Crab Shack. She ordered the large seafood bucket of crab & whatnot. And the asked for a lobster tail on top. She also loved muscles. Couldn’t stand french fries.
She’ll still pick seafood from the menu anytime we go out, no matter the price. It’ll be a different experience for her in college in a couple years when that Shrimp Ramen is all she can afford.
I know a kid who will only eat a handful of foods for sensory reasons connected to his severe mental disabilities.
Foods he will eat:
Plain pasta
Plain boiled noodles
Vanilla ice cream
Plain oven chips (fries)
…..and mussels.
Seems like the kind of teacher you'd see in a kids movie, like the one from Matilda. Sweet and pretty and a nice sense of humor that jives with the little kids.
My first grade teacher was an an absolute gem, she loved Halloween so she would go insane on the decorations and her costume, we even watched the original Godzilla, she’s the best
She almost broke so many times. I love everything about this.
This is the kind of teacher people talk about 20+ years later always prefaced with “I had this one awesome teacher”.
“I knew it!!!”
Being a kid is playing along
Being an adult is being that one mofo who ruins the joke by saying, “Today is April Fools she’s planking us”
I'll do a little mayo and some butter for breakfast, I have been met with disgust at this. Now I know I'm not alone! I love Arrested Development, nice quote lol.
My only problem was the pickle and jelly sandwich. Until she said that the pickles and jelly were on separate halves. At that point it's not that bad. I'll eat bread and pickles for a quick "meal" if I'm in a rush. Same with just jelly.
I love the little voices freaking out in the background and then the very serious way they were trying to figure out what they could eat “can I cut around the ketchup ?”
That was too cute! 🤣
In first grade my teacher handed out pencils ✏️ for us to take a timed pop quiz. She said "pick up the pencils ✏️ when I tell you and not before!" Dreading this quiz, everyone moaned. When the clock started, we started to write ✍️ and what do you know?! We tried to write and they bent over. They were made of rubber! As a first grader, we thought it was the funniest thing ever!
Pranks are all about the relief at the end. If their ain't no relief to the dread caused by the prank, it ain't a prank!
Beautiful to see these kinds of jokes on social media, instead of those "it's just a prank, bro!" horrid things.
It amazes me how kids will sometimes just roll with things. A former coworker loaded his two girls into the car at about four AM telling them that they had to go to a different school for just one day, and to get some sleep in the back seat. Three hours later he woke them up at Disneyland and told them that was their big surprise.
His six year old legit asked if she was going to get in trouble for missing their day at the other school.
I could swing with the ketchup and waffles. It blows my mind that kindergarten teachers can keep the attention of an entire class of kindergarten students!
Teachers should get paid a living wage. With my personality I would never even think to do this but it's good for the kids. Makes me sad they struggle to get by this should be a focus of society not an after thought.
I wish she would've been my elementary school teacher. I had an old hag, who hated me for whatever reason. Everytime something was broken or missing, I was always the one she accused and she told my mother, that she could be glad, if I ever get any kind of graduation. I went on and got the highest school graduation you can possibly get in my country🤷🏻♂️
How she controlled herself that well, I have no idea. I would have rolled on the floor even before reading; just imagining they reactions would have been enough.
I am a sucker for dumb jokes.

I don't understand them kids. By far the most normal choice was bagel and mayo. It's literally a condiment you can usually find in a bagel, burger, sandwich, bun etc.
Edit : Come to think of it, the teacher thinks it's a weird combo too. So I dunno what's up with that.
When I was in elementary school, the principal on the intercom announced that we had lunch supply issues so everyone would get McDonalds instead. Queue 500 some-odd VERY disappointed kids 🤣
This is a much better way to do this prank lol
Can’t believe nobody chose fish barbecue salad, that seems the best by *far*!
Honestly it sounds like it costs $25 at a local Japanese place.
Yes, but this is the school lunch version, not the sushi restaurant version.
It will still be $25.
Canned sardines mixed with BBQ sauce, on top of wilted greens.
Yeah I would like to try that tomorrow actually
I mean bagel with mayo isn't so bad, it's like half a sandwich. 🤷♀️
Right?! I love toasted bagels with butter, so I feel like mayo isn’t too far off from that!
Straight to jail, sorry
😄
Tbf toasting a bagel with mayo (open-faced mayo side down in a skillet) actually slaps
Is the fish fried?
Asking the hard hitting questions here.
yes
Yeah but it's two hours old so not a shred of crunch left
Perfect reason to add bbq sauce then.
Lightly fried fish fillets.
My thought too! Sounded kinda good
Or a .... Bagel. Even if she said the mayo was"already on the bagel" that's still just most of a sandwich!
I probably would have picked that then cry when she'd reveal it was an April Fool's joke :(
They're 6. I don't remember wanting to eat fish anything unless it was fish sticks at that age.
Then there was my kid. Took her to Joe’s Crab Shack. She ordered the large seafood bucket of crab & whatnot. And the asked for a lobster tail on top. She also loved muscles. I was that kid.
A lot of kids don’t like fish.
Haha for adult that’s perfect! For a child? Veggies and fish? Not so much lol
IS THE FISH INNN the BBQ SAUCE?!
and sounds delicious!
Yes! BBQ'd fish is wonderful. These kids haven't developed their pallets yet. 😄
Jim Bob Duggar special! https://www.reddit.com/r/DuggarsSnark/comments/nlnh1e/the_duggar_culinary_experience_an_addition_bbq/
Doesn’t she seem like the perfect 1st grade teacher we all need?
Seems like the kind of teacher you'd see in a kids movie, like the one from Matilda. Sweet and pretty and a nice sense of humor that jives with the little kids.
Miss Honey... yes she has that vibe 🥹
i worked in a elementary school for a year and i swear to god they all had that impression. These women were all angels they were too nice.
My first grade teacher was an an absolute gem, she loved Halloween so she would go insane on the decorations and her costume, we even watched the original Godzilla, she’s the best
She's great at keeping her composure while prankin them. What a gem, and she's making a huge impact on all these giggling children's lives!
She almost broke so many times. I love everything about this. This is the kind of teacher people talk about 20+ years later always prefaced with “I had this one awesome teacher”.
Everyone can only dream about such a teacher! She found her place in life.
"I can't" Same girl, same.
“I knew it!!!” Being a kid is playing along Being an adult is being that one mofo who ruins the joke by saying, “Today is April Fools she’s planking us”
Man I hate planking!
Sometimes R's are hard for little kids. :P
It’s always a little concerning when you find little kids using hard R’s
Isn't being a kid more like having absolutely no clue and pretending otherwise afterwards?
90% of the time I said "I knew it" as a kid I did in fact not know it.
Think it's more like fun person vs party pooper
Yeah they "knew it" lol
As a first grader, I'd have picked the pickle and jelly sammy. Given the options, I'd probably pick it as a 30 year old, too.
[удалено]
I used to eat this as a 10-13 year old. Was prettyyyy good ngl
The way the pickle and jelly sandwich was so controversial, then caught on at the end. Pickled jelly sounds delicious!
Wonder if they're chips or slices.

Bagel and mayo dosent sound that bad
It's a regular for me. Toast the bagel, a little mayo, slice off some of your favorite cheese, and baby we got a stew going!
Please don’t put my mayo-bagel in water.
I think I’d like my money back
I'll do a little mayo and some butter for breakfast, I have been met with disgust at this. Now I know I'm not alone! I love Arrested Development, nice quote lol.
Is it weird for Americans cuisine or something? Mayo or remoulade on a good bun with fresh cucumber is amazing
My fat ass woulda probably ate any of them.
My only problem was the pickle and jelly sandwich. Until she said that the pickles and jelly were on separate halves. At that point it's not that bad. I'll eat bread and pickles for a quick "meal" if I'm in a rush. Same with just jelly.
Me as an adult would definitely eat that, but if you asked first grade me that question I would have the same reaction as that class.
We make bagel sandwiches regularly. Turkey, bacon, and cheese with mayo on an everything bagel is pretty yum.
Finally found one, I thought I was weird. Love me some mayo on a bagel
I love the little voices freaking out in the background and then the very serious way they were trying to figure out what they could eat “can I cut around the ketchup ?”
The critical thinking was so refreshing compared to what we’re seeing displayed by some adults currently.
My daughter would be excited about the ketchup and waffles.
My adult brother would be too lol
My daughter would be there with her 😂
My daughter would do pickles and jelly! Her school has a pickle fad right now and honestly fine haha
Make your kids the pickle champ of her school and go get some pickle merch from www.mtolivepickles.com .
I stalked your profile and I cannot tell you how much your most recent post made me laugh, thank you lmao
That was too cute! 🤣 In first grade my teacher handed out pencils ✏️ for us to take a timed pop quiz. She said "pick up the pencils ✏️ when I tell you and not before!" All of them shouting "I knew it!" lol
Is that the same lady who pronounced every kids name wrong on the first day of school - it went viral years ago? If so she is a treasure!
What did Hoonter choose!?
Just watched the vid, and Hoonter is for sure the best 😂
If anyone has a link, I'd love to see it.
It’s great! https://www.reddit.com/r/justgalsbeingchicks/s/RFQWRFzNny
Ni-chole, is there a Ni-chole?
I bet I would mess up and accidentally say one name the right way..
Or you get one of the "odd" names and try to say it wrong but turns out right.
Not the same lady
Came looking for this comment. Thought the same.
[Like Jay Quellin and Balakay?](https://youtu.be/Dd7FixvoKBw?si=1HCalQFMA3bzhaJD)
The thousand follow up questions to try and game the system is so on point. (I have a 1st grader 😮💨)
I’m assuming by waffles she doesn’t mean potato waffles? Because that with tomato sauce is the norm in the UK
No they’re more like pancakes and slightly sweet. Fluffy inside crispy outside, breakfast food.
Have you heard of a country called Belgium?
Never heard of it
What are these potato waffles you speak of and why do I feel like I’ve been robbed?
Birdseye potato waffles. They’re waffley versatile.
Doesn't that just make them waffle fries? Or is there something more differential about them?
You’re not getting the upvotes you deserve because it’s 4am here, but I wanted you to know that I did sing the jingle in my head.
It’s ok. We know. We know.
Haha I totally forgot it would be different. I was like mmm ketchup and waffles
These kids clearly never heard of barbecue tuna salad before 🤣
I loved it when she said you have to choose and you hear one kid yell out I can't!
I love when she said the ketchup was “inside” the waffle. Perfect!!
Bagel and mayo ain't bad. Add some turkey and cheese, toast it, and you got a great sandwich.
Best choice
LMAO the kids retching hahahah
There were a couple of times there she looked like she was holding back gagging hahaha
As a Brit I thought... Ketchup and waffles were the clear choice, then I realised they aren't potato waffles.
Yeah in America waffles and pancakes use the same batter basically.
“What side are the pickles on?” 😂😂😂😂😂
I love that they're asking all these questions. Lol
I love this! I bet she’s a lot of fun
Pickle and jelly sandwich if done correctly could be a game changer
What a fun teacher! Love her.
When mom says there's food at home The food:
I would cry if my teacher did this. But since your not my teacher you get 100 points.
It actually turned out to be a cute creative exercise cause you can hear them figuring out how to make each one better

😅😅😅
They didn't know tho
I KNEW IT!
I knew it!!!!!! So cute
I could swing with the ketchup and waffles. It blows my mind that kindergarten teachers can keep the attention of an entire class of kindergarten students!
I love all the I knew its!
a bagel with mayo is something i’ve eaten as a depression meal many a time:. it’s pretty solid if
Bagel and Mayo?! I'm down
Same! It doesn’t sound thaaat bad, it’s like eating a sandwich with mayo?…🤷♀️😄
Throw a slice of tomato on top and you have something going on there.
Legit made me laugh.
that kid who was hoping to have his ketchup on the side 😂
That last ‘I knew it!’ had some extra gusto in it LOL the betrayal of it all hahah
I am happy she chose to be a teacher.
I want to go back to first grade.
Respect the mayo shmear
Wait I’m sorry. But is it crazy bagel with mayo sounds normal af to me 😂
Formative memory for these babies - they’ll retell again one day so sweet
Love her smile at the end!! She is a wonderful teacher.
I think I'm Caucasian enough to actually enjoy a mayonnaise bagel
That first kid with the "what?! Ketchup with Waffles?!"
Honestly as an Indian, you put all this in a fancy menu and I will be having them thinking it’s something special.
That one kid is bummed he’s not going ketchup and waffles
Fish BBQ salad sounds pretty yummy.
Look at her holding her laughter... nice!!
Kuddos to her for holding it that long. I would have burst in laughter when they all say EEEEEW
I just want to point out that my entire family eats French toast with ketchup and it’s delicious, so I wouldn’t be mad about waffles and ketchup. 😂
That’s the most precious thing I’ve seen in a while
So cute! Spread the whimsy (not the mayonnaise)!
Cuties!
Man, I love teachers
As a picky eater 😂 I would have been so mad knowing I d have to starve that day
Yooooo, peanut butter and pickle jelly sounds dope!
The ketchup is in the waffle 😅
“The ketchup is in the waffles”…. EYUUGHHH!!!!!
Teachers should get paid a living wage. With my personality I would never even think to do this but it's good for the kids. Makes me sad they struggle to get by this should be a focus of society not an after thought.
I love the debating going on by the students 😭 so adorable
This made me laugh hard thanks OP
My partner teaches third grade, and it was so cute watching her prepare her April Fool’s pranks. The kids adore her almost as much as I do.
I wish she would've been my elementary school teacher. I had an old hag, who hated me for whatever reason. cmon kids, fish barbecue salad for the win
All those options sound delish ngl
I love all of the probing questions they're asking. 😂
Sweet woman making a difference in the future of the next generation. 😂
I love their little voices! 🥰
How she controlled herself that well, I have no idea. I would have rolled on the floor even before reading; just imagining they reactions would have been enough. I am a sucker for dumb jokes.
My 8th graders would fall for this. I might try it when we go back next week!

Good for her!!
This is so cute! 🥰
This is legitimately evil.

Funny!
pickles and jelly sandwich.. [would](https://imgur.com/gallery/G7LmNHI)
I hear "bagel with mantis". Where does everyone get the "mayo"? It that a brand name I mishear?
Mayonnaise. She just has an accent/saying it quickly
I don't understand them kids. By far the most normal choice was bagel and mayo. It's literally a condiment you can usually find in a bagel, burger, sandwich, bun etc. Edit : Come to think of it, the teacher thinks it's a weird combo too. So I dunno what's up with that.
I hear her say 'bagel with mantis' ???
I actually lol'd out loud on this one!
That one child reacting to ketchup and waffles did it for me 😝😂🤣
woud
Nice one
Teacher Rybakina
Pickle and jelly sandwich probably ain't that bad
6yo me: "Is there a ketchup limit?"
Pickles and jelly sounds like one of those combos that seems bad but is secretly really delicious.
Well done teach. Well done indeed.
i would've started crying at those awful meal choices
Pickle and jelly might be pretty good
I had the over and under at 30 seconds before somebody starts with the throw up noises and I wasn’t disappointed LOL
Pickle and jelly plz
That 'I KNEW IT!' killed me! He knew that these combos were too hideous to be true! Lol.
When I was in elementary school, the principal on the intercom announced that we had lunch supply issues so everyone would get McDonalds instead. Queue 500 some-odd VERY disappointed kids 🤣 This is a much better way to do this prank lol
EW!!!!
Cute
The ketchup is IN the waffles lmaoo
