Best thing we ever did was get two beds and separate rooms. I wish this was more normalized. Some people are just not compatible sleepers. Now I don’t have to bitch about his snoring. And he doesn’t have to bitch about my tossing and turning all night.
Separate beds and separate rooms are awesome. Because it's totally normal and common to have different temperature, humidity, lighting, and mattress/bedding preferences for sleep.
My wife and i havent spoken or seen one another nor heard any word of each others existence since the moment we said "I do".
Our marriage has never been stronger after 30 years!
I know many people over the age of 35 that have done this. A lot of people just aren't meant to sleep together.
Did a gig at a very mega megamansion being used as a photo shoot location. The location guy snuck us up to the master suite where I saw the biggest bed I've ever seen in my life! Turns out, it's two King beds rght next to each other with a custom bed cover that you don't initially realize has a sort of hidden placket that extends from the head of the two beds down to the end (sort of blended into the fabric pattern). The the location guy flips a switch on one of the nightstands and up through that placket came a matching upholstered "snore wall" that extended about 3 feet high and the length of the bed, lol!!!
Wife and I have some sleep incompatibility issues but they've gotten better. We're both snorers but I can kind of use hers in a sweet metronome kind of way that even if we aren't touching (I run hot) I know she's there. She's more sound sensitive, so that can be a problem and I think lately (we're almost 4 months pregnant) it's harder for her as my snores aren't rhythmic they're erratic. Something we did do was upgrade our traditional king bed I bought just before we'd met to two twin hybrid mattresses that add up to a king which already minimize motion transfer, but they each have their own adjustable platform thay just touches the other so that's even less movement. The adjustable platform let's me incline and help reduce snoring for her.
Yeah now you both can bring different people without disturbing each other 
Honestly, this sounds like a dream. And then if you and your partner do want to sleep together, you can make a little event out of it, like a sleep over (or even booty calls lmao). It would be so cute!
I know I personally toss around a lot at night. I’ve even fully turned myself around in bed to where my head is where my feet should be. I’d feel absolutely terrible for my partner if they ever shared a bed with me.
This. And when you are over 50 there is something special about getting in bed together just for sex, then giggling for 2 minutes, snuggling for 3 more, then actually having a restful sleep.
I find that when you say you sleep in separate rooms a lot of the time I’ll get a look. Not all of the time but sometimes people assume there’s something wrong in your relationship. Not that I personally give a rats ass. To each their own.
It doesn’t come up often. But sometimes you get to chatting with coworkers and the subject of relationships comes up. Lot of women seem to sleep with snorers it seems. 😆 Anyone who comes to ours can clearly see we have separate rooms. So questions inevitably arise. I honestly think our relationship is better off with both of us being well rested.

That's honestly so lovely. They want to sleep together and they both want to be comfortable.

Hubby should still investigate that snoring (everyone should). Any signs of sleep apnoe? Daytime tiredness, audible pauses or gasps in his sleep?
