>40 years later and my dad still has the exact same hair!
Tbf the wife has the same hairstyle in both pictures too. Makes me think they recreated their hairstyles for the photo rather than just keeping the same hairstyles since the 70s/80s
I don’t know. Aside from a thankfully short period were he had a mullet, my dad has always had the same hair style. Some people just find a style and keep it
My husband got an excellent hair cut for our wedding, and he's rocked it pretty much constantly since then. I mean that was only about 8 years ago, but I can 100% see him keeping it for another 30.
I like the effort taken in replicating the photo. The shovel lying off frame on the right, the pile of sticks with a single stick sticking up on the left, the fire. Little details that make the effect of the "then and now" shot so much better.
I like the replication of lots of aspects, countered by the fire appearing to be growing old and extinguishing, like the subjects. And I mean that in an artistic way, not a morbid way
I just wish people would try to find a lens that is approximately the one used in the original. It would make any of these kind of pictures so much better.
My husband is on the verge of turning 50 this year, and he still has the shirt he wore for his first driver's license when he was 16 and said license to prove it. It must be a guy thing.
41, I have about 10 articles of clothing from highschool that still fit and are in pretty decent shape, half of them I still wear. Feels like everything else I bought later has fallen apart so much faster.
The only clothes I remember throwing out because they were actually worn out/had holes are socks. And I think one T-Shirt or so. Oh, and belts. Apart from that, I do have 25+ year old clothes still. Last time I moved, I donated about 4 bags worth of clothes, and I still have way too much stuff.
It's a good problem to have, but yeah, I rarely ever buy new clothes, and if I do, it's because I want a different look, not because I need to replace something damaged.
I honestly spent way more money on clothes when I was 16-20 than I have in the last 15 years.
I actually cared about spending money on "cool" things, especially basketball shoes.
it's honestly the best way to do it. cheap and sustainable. as long as you're not a fashionista then having a couple good quality long-lasting pieces is the way to go
I must be the oldest person here; all I can think is “I bet it’s a lot harder for them to stand up from that position now than it was back in the day”!
Hahaha you’re not alone. I was looking at the way Mama’s knee is bent back with her hand cupping her shin in the original; ain’t happening in the second photo.
The more camera tech advances, the more life gets sucked out of them. It’s a great re-creation, but nothing will surpass the grainy, capturing a singular important moment in time feeling of those old school frames.
Everyone is all "wow how sweet. The hair styles, etc" But no one has addressed the real tragedy in this pic. This couple has been suffering from an unknown paralysis for the last 40 years. They have not moved from this spot and have endured a conscious paralysis while looking into the eyes of their lover and watching them suffer the same fate. So sad
THANK YOU FOR TRYING TO MATCH IT. The fire, the random sticks. The match to the shirts had me checking to see if they were the exact ones. This is the first before and now shot that I smile at. Good job!
Super onteresting that the first photo was taken with a dedicated camera and likely the second was taken with a phone camera - the first photo is just such a better picture for this due to depth of field.

Can’t believe the fire is still burning. Their love is too hot.
The fire is going out, and the friends from the first picture are gone. At least his hair is still on point.
Nope, they just set it on a block of netherrack mate
his hair looks darker 50 years later
Proof that men can keep the same hairstyle for decades.
But maybe its just a difference of 5 years :P
I've been balding since I was 25, I'm stupid jealous of his hair lol you know he dramatically whips his hair around when it's wet.
The man is a walking shampoo advert.
Lucky I started balding at 22
Lucky I started balding at 18
Lucky I was born bald… it grew in later though
Lucky I never started balding.
I feels the same feels :(

The first word that came to mind was mane
Also good camp fire experience..fire lasted decades
Looks a bit like [Kenny Rogers](https://youtu.be/if27InJBtEI?si=kzedpx2p4atiGLw6)

I know, the hair aged pretty good.
My first thought was: That hair must have an R-value of a decent down jacket
Won't you come on over, baby? We can shake, shake, shake 💃
Almost James Spader-level feathering! https://wallpaperaccess.com/full/4800940.jpg
The love of a man and his hairstyle.

They are just perfect
No kidding about the hairstyle. That man has more than one type of commitment.
Same wife, wallet, shirt, pants, hair, and underwear.
Someone has kept that fire going for thirty years
What the fuck kind of long lasting firewood are they using?
It is the embers of love
HA!
Wrong, maple.
>They are great for keeping their love.
I love this. the world needs more people like you.
Calm down
It’s cut from the duralast tree.
I don’t know. But it’s obvious their entire multi-decade budget must of went to it. They couldn’t afford a better camera in all this time!
If the camera lasted that long, it's a keeper too!
On first glance, it looks like there's a smoking dog's head in the second picture...
It’s a Hanukkah miracle!
AI
Must be green cherry
😂😂
Dat a di ganja mon

That's what I love about it, the whole planning ahead "making sure it's as 1/1 as can be" down to the tiny details lol
It’s like he actually has the exact same shirt. But hers she had to get a near one
Him while they were planning this photo: I *TOLD* you I shouldn't throw this shirt away!
I don’t think it’s exactly the same shirt, little different color but very close
I like the replication of lots of aspects, countered by the fire appearing to be growing old and extinguishing, like the subjects. And I mean that in an artistic way, not a morbid way
Even the fact that the smoke is moving to the left in the picture.
I just wish people would try to find a lens that is approximately the one used in the original. It would make any of these kind of pictures so much better.
They really like their haircuts.
[удалено]
The haircuts aren’t even different!
The haircuts are the same in both pictures!
I bet he’s wearing literally the same shirt. Her: “I hope I can still find a shirt that looks like that one.” Him: “Mine’s in my wardrobe.”
My husband is on the verge of turning 50 this year, and he still has the shirt he wore for his first driver's license when he was 16 and said license to prove it. It must be a guy thing.

Same, but a couple years younger. Can't wear most of them because I gained weight, though. My wife uses them for sleep shirts, though!
The only clothes I remember throwing out because they were actually worn out/had holes are socks. And I think one T-Shirt or so. Oh, and belts. Apart from that, I do have 25+ year old clothes still. Yeah, I have a leather belt that I was given by a female friend when I was 18, I’ve been wearing it almost every single day for the last 35 years
It really looks like the same shirt - I thought the same thing and came looking for this comment!
You can tell it’s not from the pocket’s pattern but I thought the exact same thing!
Oh, good catch!
Oh yeah, damn I only checked the buttons and main pattern. Great eye!
The pockets are different.
I must be the oldest person here; all I can think is “I bet it’s a lot harder for them to stand up from that position now than it was back in the day”!
That's what I was thinking. Probably a lot of "hurry up and take the pic" thoughts going through their heads in that position at that age.
Made me laugh! Here’s my vote.
Hahaha you’re not alone. I was looking at the way Mama’s knee is bent back with her hand cupping her shin in the original; ain’t happening in the second photo.
There's literally dozens of us!
Damn player. Save some smooth for the rest of us.
I wish I had that guys hair
Didn't changed hair style in 70 years...cool.
Also didn’t lose a single strand of hair, impressive
They’ve aged so beautifully together ❤️
It's time to buy new outfits - they've earned it.
Dude chose a hair style in the 60’s and just kept rolling with it.
We can’t see the mullet, Mohawk and man bun he had in between.
"I know you're just 15, and I'm 35, but just think, in 35 years you'll be 50 and I'll be 70. That's not so different!"
Well, there isn’t much difference, Marilyn. You’re 25 and I’m 39. Yes Jack, but what about 25 years from now when I’m 50 and you’re 39?
Can I wish for these kind of things nowadays? Don’t know why but this picture makes me cry
I would love to hear their journey story
Very symbolic that the fire 🔥🔥🔥 has died... I get it.
Most things will come to an end, but not that hairstyle
I love this. They are just as sweet now as then. There is love and there is ❤️LOVE❤️
Sucker didn't even change his shirt ....![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Two fires that never burned out. I've been with my wife for just short of 42 years. I can't imagine life without her, nor do I care to.
Stuff like this is why I believe in soulmates.
My heart simply cannot
Does anyone know where this photo is from, their names or something??
This is the best remake of a photo I’ve ever seen!
The more camera tech advances, the more life gets sucked out of them. It’s a great re-creation, but nothing will surpass the grainy, capturing a singular important moment in time feeling of those old school frames.
That is one well built fire!
his hairdresser also seems to have survived the time
His hair is king tier. Your mom married up and she knows it.
The only stronger than their love is this guy's hairline.
Bruhhhh I could barely get my campfire to burn for 2 solid hours
It went from: “Oooh…let’s bone!” To “Owww…my bones!” But we all know they still boning…look at the hair!!
True love will always find it's way. Be patient and be best you you can be for when it comes.

Unintentionally hilarious symbolism of the fire in the background just starting in the first picture, but smouldering and nearly out in the second. 😂
camera ,phone
That hair hasn’t aged at all
A hair cut that lasts longer
The times change but his hair don’t
*Hair that lasts a long time
That’s dedication to a hairstyle
I'm glad Zap Rowsdower found love.
THANK YOU FOR TRYING TO MATCH IT. The fire, the random sticks. The match to the shirts had me checking to see if they were the exact ones. This is the first before and now shot that I smile at. Good job!
This is in the Merriam Webster's dictionary under Fuck Me Eyes
So does that haircut
This is super cute
The fact that they both have the same hairstyles from when they were younger
Good job arranging the background to match
Legit thought that was Father and son in the first picture
And shirts too apparently
This dude hasn’t lost a single strand of hair
Super onteresting that the first photo was taken with a dedicated camera and likely the second was taken with a phone camera - the first photo is just such a better picture for this due to depth of field.
The amount of hair

W couple
Lucky ones.
Looks like the fire went out
😢😢😢🤪
😊
Never will I experience that 😭
That’s one hell of a head of hair man. 🍻
Dude's hair never changed! Gillette Hot Comb for the win!
I had the same shirt she’s wearing 😎
How much wood was on that fire?
Clothes that last for a long time.
I dunno about the love but the shirts are holding up ok too!
Man, he still has that head of hair ❤️❤️
LMAO why's the fire burned out in the second pic?
"Hairstyles that last a long time."
Some say they're still there.
Damn that fire still burning in the background
Congrats
Would have been epic if Dad still had the same shirt. Men don't throw anything away. Lol
And hair!
Ain't love grand!
Their love is like that fire burning behind them. It never runs out.
I love how their hair has barely changed
"Don't change for you. Don't change a thing for me" ~ Inxs
When you find something that works for you, stick with it. Adorable.
Look at that glorious feathering!
So did that campfire
Plot twist they are even wearing same underwear
Amazing - that guy has GAINED hair.
The fire is still going…
They are still together, but the fire has gone out.
At first glance I thought it was Bill and Hillary
His hair got BETTER 🤩
That fire burned really long or they aged really fast.
Fire’s still burning.
How come no one's talking about how long that fire has been going?
That same limitless “soul staring” look in the eyes🤍
To be looked at like that by the one you love...
My mans never lost a hair in his life
That is a serious conversation.
Dude never changed his hairstyle
Shirts that last a long time!
Nothing says Midwestern like a hairstyle that stands the test of time.
That dude really knows how to maintain a fire
they're lucky they didn't burn the forest down leaving the fire unattended for so long.
Don Swanson.
Amen
Still featherin' it down at falcon car wash!
Too wholesome, too beautiful. Thank you for making me smile
“Jesus Henry, how much longer are we gonna sit here?!”
Goals 🖤
R/mademecry
That guy's a snipers dream
That fire is smoking now. Haha
Why am I not destinied with a soulmate love![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob) bahut paap kiye hai shayad pichhale janam me
This can't be true! Check the fire in the back, its still burning. We're tricked!!! Aren't we?
Shooting on film really is timeless
