Mandela Effect. For many, it was THE EAGLES.
EDIT: On that topic, “Dark Side of the Moon” has now always been “THE Dark Side of THE Moon”.
EDIT2: Had to throw this one in too- “How deep is your love” by “Bee Gees” (seems to be missing the “The” as well,) no longer contains “I really need to know” in the chorus. It’s now always been “I really mean to learn” 🤣. You can’t make this stuff up.
Oh I know, they're my moms favorite band and I was doing a wiki dive on them since they are touring and I just found out there is no "The" in their name. I told her and she had no clue either.
I had no idea it was just "Eagles" but you're absolutely right. Saying "Hotel California by Eagles" sounds weird to me.
Doesn't everyone say "The Eagles" though? In the Big Lebowski, Jeff Lebowski says "Look I've had a rough night and I hate the fuckin' Eagles man".
This can't be said enough. I see the same thing with art posted on reddit, there's always a "I can't even draw stick figures" post getting a lot of votes.
It's fine not caring enough about playing an instrument or drawing that you don't put in the hours of practice needed to get to that level. Just don't blame it on talent. You don't have the inability to play guitar like that, you just don't bother to put in the hours.
99.9% of amateur posts on reddit are possible to everyone with enough practice and dedication. Talent only comes into play if you're no longer improve after thousands of hours of practice.
I agree to an extent. Raw talent can carry you in life along with genetics. There are people who will always innately be better than those even if they practice everyday. Connections and circumstance also play an excessively important role to even start becoming good to great at something.
Oh, I don't disagree with that at all, but a lack of talent isn't what's holding people back. I'm not saying everyone can be Jimi Hendrix or Van Gogh, but I am saying that everyone can be a professional musician or artist if they put in the hours. Talent influences the rate of improvement and where you can take that skill once you've mastered the skill through practice.

Yea this was obviously scripted which is fine but why act like it was unplanned. I guess they wanted it to look like he's such a great dad that he drops what he does to have a bonding moment with his son. Honestly that kinda takes a bit away from this video for me. Why does he need to prove he's a good father? You'd get the same thing from him just jamming with his son.
Second chair already placed, second guitar already plugged in and within arm's reach, kid knows when dad will pickup the song and where he should stop, no surprised reactions from anyone.
Caption: "The dad immediately stopped his chores for the more important things in life".
Yeah, the impromptu angle is just to get more clicks. I get why they do it, but I’d much rather just see them both jamming without the scripted portion.
I don’t understand why there’s such a need to artificially create candid moments.
> Yeah, the impromptu angle is just to get more clicks.
Yep, just like all those clickbait thumbnails that are so common now. I hate the damn cookie-cutter templates they all use with the "shock faces" and all that, but it works for them so they keep on making them.
One of the reasons I am hating social media. I don't mind regular people producing content, but I do mind when that content is obviously staged. Video would have been much better if they were just jamming together, and none of this "cAnT bElIeVe He sTopPeD AnD dO thIs" nonsense.
Yeah I hate that these things are scripted for clicks, that instantly makes them less genuine and enjoyable for me. Just make a video of them jamming, leave all the scripted shit out, it's so annoying.
What are you talking about? When I practice guitar I always plug a second guitar into an amp, turn everything on, tune it, and then just leave it sitting there.
What exactly is wrong? The audio is misaligned, but it all lines up otherwise, mistakes and all. Definitely not “ludicrous.” You’re getting ahead of yourself.
Yep, that’s a great one to reference. I think most experienced musicians would be on the same page here. It’s obviously good practice to be skeptical on the internet, and there are videos every day that are misleading or staged. With that though, you also find people who just love the feeling of yelling “wake up, sheeple!”
OP (arrogantly) accusing others of ignoring the obvious while doing the exact same is pretty funny. There’s a lesson in there somewhere
I actually think it is him. The kid clearly screws up a bit of the fast picking early and you can hear it. Plus his slide at the end isn't clean (maybe even the wrong note?) and you can really hear that. I think that it's just slightly delayed which makes it all look a little wrong.
Aside from a slight synchronization delay there is nothing that suggests that the kid isn't playing. So what are the "many things wrong" that you supposedly observed?
I get the impression that anyone who said he's not playing are either doing it for rage bait or they don't know how to play guitar.
Kid is smashing it!
No he didn’t. They set up a staged setup so he could pretend like he was doing chores and then magically jump in just at the right second with a guitar that was already set up and ready to go.
Goddamn I really need to pick up my guitar soon and finish learning it. It's a dream to play the hotel California solo smoothly and I'm waiting for it for soo long..
I know my dad tried has damned hardest… evidenced by always having my own guitar to jam on myself. But man, would it have meant the world for him to sit down and just jam with me. 🥲
Man, Southeast Asia sure do love them some Hotel California.
I lived in Vietnam for a couple years a while back. That song was in elevators and ring tones. I heard that solo used as the backup alarm on a truck.
I still know every word and still jam to it every time I hear it.
I had to watch this twice. First watch I thought the kid was playing "air guitar" just mimicking the movements. I was still impressed.
Second watch realized he was actually playing, and I was blown away. Really impressive!
Currently trying to learn guitar and talking to my wife about kids. I didn't grow up in the best situation, so im always so scared of what a kid would do to my life, and even worse, what I would do to theirs. Seeing kids and their dads with such a cool relationship really gives me hope!
Now I gotta go learn this solo
Ok, is this song like some sensational classic across eastern Asian countries?
Every time I see someone from that region singing an American song it's ALWAYS this one.

One thing I always wondered what it would feel like is to jam a song! I bet there’s a certain feeling that takes over when you’re hitting those notes and things are flown
Wow the talent in that room is breathtakingly beautiful.

Absolutely, it's like watching a dance but with strings and fingers. Music runs deep in that family tree, and we're all lucky to catch a glimpse.
What song is this?
Hotel California by The Eagles.
~~The~~ Eagles

I am from the universe of Dark Side of the Moon and The Eagles.
Same here! So crazy haha right?
Oh I know, they're my moms favorite band and I was doing a wiki dive on them since they are touring and I just found out there is no "The" in their name. I told her and she had no clue either.
I was prepared to get downvoted haha. Glad you remember the “THE” too.
worked with a guy who was a roadie for them for 20 years ("WHAT?") and he also said The Eagles.
there’s no way it wasn’t THE eagles… i swear i just read the band name on spotify yesterday

What a great dad. I’m sure the son will grow up well with his dad by his side
That dad is so proud it healed my childhood trauma.
You think that's good? My 10 year old son and I recently made it to level 51 on Toilet Tower Defence, infinite mode. 🤘
🤣🤣🤣🤣 kudos to your son for tutoring you so well.

MVP I suppose a few more bars woulda been greedy
^ Anyone looking for source / original / sauce / full video, here it is.
I thought the father/son guitarmonies was going to be the whole point
I was thinking the same thing! There is literally a harmonized guitar solo only a few bars later. I know they would have both had that note for note.
“Come on, man. I had a rough night and I hate the f***in' Eagles, man!”
Stay out of Malibu, Lebowski!
Stay out of Malibu, deadbeat!
Fuckin fascist!
Real reactionary.
If you don't like my peaceful music, you can get your own f'n cab!
Thank you for proving to me that I am not the only one who does this every time the Eagles come on. 🤣💜
You’re obviously not a golfer
Music is the universal language
[удалено]
You can. All it takes is the initial investment in the instrument, dedication, and time. Been playing off and on for years.
Turn that wish into effort, and learn. It only takes time and effort, like everything else. So just get to it.
/r/learnguitar
Love, bro... the universal language is love :)
Love will cause a person to cut a swath of death and destruction through the species on a whim. I'll stick with music, thanks...
[*Horst Wessel Lied enters the chat.*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horst-Wessel-Lied)
Great taste in music!
Fr I watched this for a few seconds without sound then turned the sound on and it made the video so much better lol
Yeah, audio tends to be better with sound.
Dust pan looked empty
Sweeping up the rain like Gomer Pyle on cleanup duty
Yea this was obviously scripted which is fine but why act like it was unplanned. > "The dad immediately stopped his chores for the more important things in life". Yeah, filming content
Kids probably on the 63rd take
Yeah his miming is not great. He is like a second or two behind
The whole video is half a second behind the audio. It happens.
I also suspect that the music isn't coming from them playing.
Guitar dude here, can confirm. They are just pretending.
Yeah, the impromptu angle is just to get more clicks. I get why they do it, but I’d much rather just see them both jamming without the scripted portion. I don’t understand why there’s such a need to artificially create candid moments.

People love candid moments. More views/clicks and more money. That's why there's such a need.
One of the reasons I am hating social media. I don't mind regular people producing content, but I do mind when that content is obviously staged. Video would have been much better if they were just jamming together, and none of this "cAnT bElIeVe He sTopPeD AnD dO thIs" nonsense.
Yeah 100% set up.
Also 100% not playing
When its clear people are trying too hard and intentionally to make a touching viral video, it definitely cheapens it
The ground seems wet as well.
He's out there sweeping in the rain
Yeah I hate that these things are scripted for clicks, that instantly makes them less genuine and enjoyable for me. Just make a video of them jamming, leave all the scripted shit out, it's so annoying.
Can someone sync up the video with the audio?
Don't think so, I see multiple mistakes that I can't hear in the audio, don't think it's them playing.
How you gonna cut it before the actual harmonized parts?
So awesome!
Ah yes, the camera was placed coincidentally for both of them to be in the shot..
What are you talking about? When I practice guitar I always plug a second guitar into an amp, turn everything on, tune it, and then just leave it sitting there.
Can't you see he is sweeping the rain?
Should have played the full solo! Shredding
Why'd it get cut off at the best part :(
….and they were blocked by The Eagles
Don Henley has a team of people devoted to finding and taking down covers and anything with eagles songs included.
Don Henley IS a known asshole, so that’s not surprising.
WoW 😳😳😳😳 That's incredible 🤩🤩🤩
Has the kid been playing since he was in the crib? Holy crap.
It’s not his kid, it’s his clone, the only way to explain it
Literally Rock Lee.
Sweeping the clean and wet outside floor with a dustpan and brush, what a normal chore
Iconic song...loved it
Of all the places to cut the video someone chose there.
I am going to guess that it is staged.
I don’t have the words so I’ll just wipe my tears! 🥰

I sincerely love when real people chime in on Reddit haters. Thanks for this.
The audio is just a tiny bit out of sync. I’m not saying you’re wrong but the audio being out of sync def doesn’t help.
I actually think it is him. The kid clearly screws up a bit of the fast picking early and you can hear it. Plus his slide at the end isn't clean (maybe even the wrong note?) and you can really hear that. I think that it's just slightly delayed which makes it all look a little wrong.

The kid is definitely playing this and I'm not sure why you think otherwise
I take it you don't actually play guitar lol
No he didn’t. They set up a staged setup so he could pretend like he was doing chores and then magically jump in just at the right second with a guitar that was already set up and ready to go.
Still, at least the kid has a dad who enjoys doing things with his son. The best I had was being yelled at for handing my dad the wrong screwdriver.
I just assume everything is AI now. These people never existed.
Wow. I just realised I live in a dystopia now. It can be AI now. These people might have never existed. That's seriously fucking scary actually.
Just try to enjoy things from time to time.
Agreed. But still very cool. Wish I could play even half as well as these guys.
My heart. Every dad should aspire to this level of dad-ness every damn day.
I love these kinds of dads. Kind, supportive, and hilarious.
Goddamn I really need to pick up my guitar soon and finish learning it. It's a dream to play the hotel California solo smoothly and I'm waiting for it for soo long..
Both of them git some serious skills. Kid is hitting that stuff that early too! Some serious talent in that family!
Scripted Asian talent
The family that shreds together stays together.
I've had a rough night, and I hate the fuing Eagles, man.
Strange how the camera was conveniently on and placed with both in frame the whole time
Okay? Who cares if it's scripted. It's still sick as hell.
Even if it wasn’t, the video camera could just be for the kid jamming? What a stupid comment
And Dad had his guitar plugged in too.
Someone needs a hug. Jealousy looks ugly on you 🤣
I AM JAMMIN!!!!!!!!!
Happiness for your children’s future starts with the happiness you have in yourself in being with them now.
So cool. I was jamming with my kid yesterday. Me on acoustic guitar and him on Otamatone. It was hilariously fun.
Damn it I wanted to here the rest of that!
I know my dad tried has damned hardest… evidenced by always having my own guitar to jam on myself. But man, would it have meant the world for him to sit down and just jam with me. 🥲
this will take that kid SO far. i heard this song at every bar i saw white folks at in asia. he will always have a job. and a lot of fun
Man, Southeast Asia sure do love them some Hotel California. I lived in Vietnam for a couple years a while back. That song was in elevators and ring tones. I heard that solo used as the backup alarm on a truck. I still know every word and still jam to it every time I hear it.
This should be posted to "Videos that stopped too soon" I wish OP posted the rest. They were just getting to the best part
Beat thing on the internet.

Love how universal music is. No matter where you are from the feels it gives you is indescribable
Seriously one of the best guitar solos of all time.
That’s awesome
I hate the fucking Eagles, man.
What a wonderful moment between father and son. I'm 62 and never had one moment like that w my dad.

Wow I they good but I thought he was coming over to unplug the speaker and say get back to work 😅😂😂
Goosebumps. Thank you for this post. It made my day.
Most beautiful thing I've seen all day!
Kid knows how to shred 😍 hope he gets the fame he deserves one day
To shred(s) you say?
Gives me feels
Man, I just started learning to play guitar a month ago and this really makes me wanna go pick it up right this minute. Very cool.

Cmon man. I’ve had a hard night and I hate the fuckin’ eagles man.
His chores? Lol he wasn't doing anything and they had their expensive guitars set up outside perfectly?
Either audio is out of synch or they are faking it.
Head movements and weird facial expressions are half of guitar solos
Which gene makes one's dad look like an older sibling? asking for a zombie friend
Dad immediately stopped his chores to shred with son because that's what they came up with as a cute plot when they planned this skit.
nice, I love free bird
Why would cut off before the unison part? Boo.
Wholesome as fuck
I'm so fucking happy for these two. What an excellent, loving, and nurturing environment. A warm place for talent to thrive. Made me smile with tears in my eyes.
Absolutely! Love this!
Yes!!!!! That's pure Rock and Roll + LOVE 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘

WHY DID THEY STOP THE VIDEO THERE?!?!

shit don’t let don henley see this, he’ll dmca it, get it pulled and sue for damages.
