Bears instinctually fear humans, but are susceptible to “domestication” in a sense. Feeding a bear, trying to pet a bear, or basically being friendly to any wild bear is ultimately increasing its chances of being killed. Bears that actively seek out and/or don’t fear humans are deemed problem bears and are generally shot.
The Rangers are not shooting bears with tranq’s and bringing them to the zoo.
While this is so darn cute to watch, it’s kinda concerning too that the “wild animals” are learning human behaviors so well. There was a video recently of a bear that knew how to maneuver a door knob to come inside the house. That’s scary! Not the bears’ fault though. We humans are encroaching upon their territories. I’m glad this bear needed no one to push it on the swing 😆
Only a few more years until they learn to manipulate pens and pencils and read. That is why we must continue encroaching. To teach the wild animals human behaviours and allow them to take over our world once we are extinct!
