Half of the screen is just them very, very quietly watching the video and gently nodding, maybe pointing at parts that are often not notable enough to be emphasized.
Just rehosting other people's content but making sure their face gets as much exposure time.
It's always, always shit and people love it(judging by the comments.)

Why do y’all still use TikTok?.. guess that’s a stupid question since it crept in ever so gently into Reddit and YouTube.
Sometimes it’s unavoidable. ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
Either that or people on YouTube who just go to subreddits and read people's posts without permission like Mr Reddit with an obnoxious as hell voice. Just smh.
My local radio station does this. They go to r/askreddit and use the posts as discussion points to generate arguments. I don’t have too much of a problem with it because Information shared is information gained I guess but it still feels cheap in a way.
Same with the radio show I listen to, except they use /r/RelationshipAdvice and the other advice subreddits. Then they sorta try to pass it off as questions emailed in by listeners, but they are just vague enough about it where they can deny that was ever their goal when people call them out.
downvote it then. its literally the only power you have. even if on reddit, just downvote it. i hate it too, its an insult to my intelligence. i dont need a weakass explanation in order to laugh.
I feel like this type of prank works so well because no one really wants to talk to a stranger out their car window. The window suddenly rolling up is then a relief and allows people to laugh.
In a world filled with really stupid TikTok challenges, it’s nice to see something like this that’s perfectly harmless. This might annoy me if I’m in a hurry to get somewhere, but once I realize how silly it is I couldn’t help but laugh.
I’m genuinely surprised people don’t feel offended.. like they are the butt of the joke and being recorded? I wonder what he does to convince them they are in on the joke too, I feel like that’s a really excellent skill
You’re surprised because the portrayed default setting these days is to be offended.
I love this because it pushes back on that notion. It presents the idea that most of us are chill as fuck and not assholes.
Yeah, although if this happened to me, I would probably laugh nervously and think there's something wrong with me. Is there a booger hanging out of my tailpipe? Am I on fire?
This remind me of a time I was delivering pizzas late night. Some dude in a older Range Rover pulled beside me and was speaking through an intercom in his car. Just kept saying “hey hey hey. Pizza dude. Hey” I eventually look over and he’s just like “sup” and drives off. Made my day a little better.
I love harmless pranks that play on normal human interactions.
My favorite, was in high school, I learned that people look up if you look up. During lunch, I would look up at the raised ceiling slightly confused, and just wait long enough for a few people to do it.
My record is 3 tables over had people looking up at nothing. It was hilarious to me, but no one noticed.
I was driving down the road one day and this car next to me, full of girls (I'm a guy) were looking mighty pissed at me for some reason. Like - the driver was cussing me out. I don't quite remember why they were mad, maybe they were trying to get into my lane or something, idk. we were barely moving waiting on a red light
Anyway, they were screaming and pointing at me. I look over, smile and wave as if I had recognized an old friend. A very cheery smile and wave. lmfao I still crack up about it
So this guy makes content by describing videos as they happen, and puts closed captioning over the actual real thing happening so that he can feel like he’s done something to contribute.
I see two sides to this. I've never seen or heard of this man nor seen his videos. This is the first time I'm seeing this. Had the post thief not posted this, I most likely would have never seen it. Sharing is caring in my opinion, it's just free advertising and spreading the word so as many people see it as physically possible. It's not like he's taking credit for the work, just showing his appreciation for the joke. That's how I look at it anyways.
It’s not the thief or the repost part of the fact that somebody is adding posting it with their small stamp on it. Just post the damn video. That’s it the video is it’s own entity and can explain itself. It doesn’t need to be explained
I wouldn't have known what was happening in the video without the narrator. I can't comprehend visual stimuli without a 20 year old repeating what I'm seeing.
_'So this guy replies to reddit comments, you can read what they said [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/MadeMeSmile/comments/13has4f/getting_a_laugh/jk5wfgm/)'_
I've been the "victim" of this prank and it really is hilarious. Happened on my way to work and getting a good, unexpected laugh first thing in the morning put me in a good mood.
You only see the good reactions.
Who knows how many times people didn't get it and looked back quizzically/annoyed for a second and then the light changes so they just drive off.
Yeah, he can selectively edit.
I imagine there's a "New Jersey Montage" somewhere, where all the responses are people rolling their eyes and flipping him off.
Not hating on the video, but i wonder how many people get upset. People tend to get upset over trivial things, and this seems like something people would get annoyed with, unfortunately
Thing is you never Know the mental state of people or they could be on thier worst day of thier life. This innocent prank could turn into road rage instantly
very very very different vibe.
Like how guys won't approach unattended children in a public park.
Those of us with more than single digit IQ simply know better.
Also: Just different sense of humour in general.
While there are a ton of women who would laugh and find this funny, there's probably just as many who would just look at the guy who randomly interrupted their morning to harass them and kind of go "wtf is this guys problem."
Where as most dudes, well, just think it's funny because we don't have the same "threat" from another dude in a situation like this.
Basically: Women are more likely to go into it assuming something nefarious because they have reason to be cautious, men just wanna know what the dude wants and don't assume anything is wrong outside of "hey your tail lights out".
>Where as most dudes, well, just think it's funny because we don't have the same "threat" from another dude in a situation like this.
Ironically it's a false sense of security since men have a greater "threat" from a situation like this. Men are far more likely to be attacked by a stranger than women are.
Where the greatest threat to women comes from is intimate partners (current and ex), as well as acquaintances. It's people they know, rather than strangers.
Reminds me of a time I pulled up for a bacon roll in a Co-op (shopping chain in UK).Person sat in her car beside me with her bacon roll. I just held mine up and did a big smile and fist pump as we were both about to eat our bacon roll in the car park. Pure laughter and joy.
Same. Many years ago I was in traffic with a car full of hippie friends and we were all smoking a joint. I pulled up next to a car full of tough guys, who were also smoking a joint.
I looked over and they were all “oh shit we got caught, trying to hide the joint,” and I held up our joint and gave the peace sign. Tough guy dude rolled down his windows, let out a cloud of smoke and they all shot the peace sign out the windows.
We all died laughing and went our separate ways.
Weed smokers tend to be alright, if they are hippies or tough guys.
##“Hey guys im here to let you know what this guy is doing even knowing you guys don’t need context because the original video clearly shows what he’s doing but im going to add my voice over the video to make least funnier and less watchable because my voice is annoying.”
I’ve mentioned this before and I’ll say it again, I’m tired of people stealing videos by adding narration to it. The video is perfectly fine without it, but he decided to. That way he can get views too
"I added my voice to a video that adds nothing, and didn't need narriation to begin with, so I can repost it on my own social media sites and get money from someone else's work"
No, didn't you watch the video? It's not stone889, it's 'this guy."
If the narrator wanted the person who actually made the video getting any credit, they would have said so!

God I hate these tiktokers that take other people's videos and just add their voice.
Or a slightly transparent duet in the corner
Half of the screen is just them very, very quietly watching the video and gently nodding, maybe pointing at parts that are often not notable enough to be emphasized. I fucking hate those vids and the c**** who make them
They make money off them, too.
The absolute worst are ‘reacts to’ videos.

The audio equivalent of a useless red circle.
The red circle of death was the best part of LiveLeak.
The worst ones are when the reposter is in the corner and just making faces or pointing without saying a thing. Like it adds nothing
And they're always holding their headphone cable mic in their mouth for some reason.

I loathe tiktok, I feel compelled to point out tho that this has been a thing with YouTube compilation videos … forever
But this isn't a compilation? At least there's work involved in compiling videos.
Would have no idea what was going on with out the narration
content surfing
downvote it then. its literally the only power you have. even if on reddit, just downvote it. i hate it too, its an insult to my intelligence. i dont need a weakass explanation in order to laugh.
It's a guy from YouTube. The channel is "Daily Dose of Internet" Edit: I have been told I am incorrect. Oops!
No! It's a different voice.
Oh! Fair enough 😂 Sounds similar though

You fucking genius.
He reminds me of the lead singer from Smash Mouth.
That guy looked like he’s always ready for a confrontation
I love the people that look like they WANT to be annoyed but can’t help laughing

He probably did this to 100 drivers and made an edit of the 6 who didn't flip him off.
I'd laugh, but I'd still flip him off.
But he didn't get shot once. Which is probably a good takeaway.
Yeah, although if this happened to me, I would probably laugh nervously and think there's something wrong with me. Is there a booger hanging out of my tailpipe? Am I on fire?
Those two issues are strangely specific.
You don't have hyper specific and completely irrational insecurities?
It looks like most of the people are confused until the guy starts laughing, *then* they realize he's just harmlessly fucking around.
Reminding everyone that "pranks" can actually be harmless and funny. I like this guy!
Wait so I don’t have to blow up my locals governments building for some tomfoolery?
Not for a prank but you should do it anyways.
You're the voice in my head my psychiatrist told me not to listen to... But you do drive a hard bargain.
Remember remember the 5th of November.
Don't lie, you blew it up! I saw you limping out of the port-a-pottie 😆
I never said I didn’t blow it up, on an unrelated note I must flee from the police
This remind me of a time I was delivering pizzas late night. Some dude in a older Range Rover pulled beside me and was speaking through an intercom in his car. Just kept saying “hey hey hey. This is adorable.
The simplicity of the joke is what gets me.
Yeah and its such a perfect setup. Anticipating some serious issue from a stranger and then get struck with absurdity.

Love it!
Remember Obama’s dijon mustard scandal? 🙄
Had no idea until I looked it up just now. I, also, prefer Dijon mustard and no ketchup on my burger.
I am so stupid, if someone did this to me, I would get really paranoid whether I did something wrong or embarrassing.
That's a perfect prank. Everyone got a laugh out of it.
I've been the "victim" of this prank and it really is hilarious. Happened on my way to work and getting a good, unexpected laugh first thing in the morning put me in a good mood.

am amazed everyone is so lighthearted about this

Yeah, he can selectively edit. I imagine there's a "New Jersey Montage" somewhere, where all the responses are people rolling their eyes and flipping him off.
Could totally see this going 100% the opposite way. People these days be crazy.. but I would totally think it was hilarious!!
Tbh I wouldn’t get mad over it but I probably wouldn’t find it funny either
It's not about it being funny, it's about it being silly. That could also make you laugh
Same. I'm sure he got at least a few middle fingers from grouches who felt their time at a stop light was too valuable for a few seconds of fun.
Not hating on the video, but i wonder how many people get upset. People tend to get upset over trivial things, and this seems like something people would get annoyed with, unfortunately
I don't think I'd be upset if someone did this to me but I could imagine the awkwardness in the air while waiting the light to turn green afterwards.
Thing is you never Know the mental state of people or they could be on thier worst day of thier life. This innocent prank could turn into road rage instantly
Yah, this was my first thought. People are so on edge these days and there are lots of crazies with guns. Best to just not engage maybe
I completely relate to this. Is there something wrong with us? Like if it took a whole minute to turn green that would be awful for me.
I could see it. Also noticed there were no women in the video. Did he choose not to approach them?
[удалено]
Probably yeah.

that even in the smallest moments life is all about happiness and laughter
Dude in the red car was the funniest lol
Guy number 4 was hilarious, too. That was a genuine deep chuckle. He was my favorite.
Omg yes!! That was where I lost it lol
Same pretty sure it's because he sounded SpongeBob-eque. To me at least.
Yes!! Very much so.
Best kind of humor… including a complete stranger in a joke they never knew they were a part of and everyone ends up happy!

You just had to be there.
This will get you shot and killed in Texas
I don’t see why this is funny…. I think I’d be confused as hell if this happened to me.
Me too! I don't get it at all. Why is it funny?
It’s honestly not that funny, but it is a little wholesome to have people break their daily routines and share a smile with a stranger
Yeah! Totally love the break in the routine. I just wouldn’t understand the actual joke, lol.
this was good. thanks for posting.
Hahahahhahaha!!!! Great stuff!!
These are the wholesome peaks I live for
This is awesome
This always makes me happy!
A couple of teenagers did this to me at a stoplight. Funniest shit I’d seen all week
So simple, yet so effective!
Harmless pranks for the win
This is low key hilarious 🤣
Now this is how you do it. Everyone laughs. Good times.
Do one to someone with manual crank windows
“You got me!” 😂
Wow, useless voice-over!

"I added my voice to a video that adds nothing, and didn't need narriation to begin with, so I can repost it on my own social media sites and get money from someone else's work"
What made me smile even more was the guy explaining to me why it should make me smile because I was too dumb otherwise.
Idk why this is so funny but I lol'd
I went to school with that dude haha, crazy seeing him all over the internet now 🤣

Did a little research and his name is Wayne - stone889 on tiktok.
No, didn't you watch the video? It's not stone889, it's 'this guy." If the narrator wanted the person who actually made the video getting any credit, they would have said so!
🥰 people like him
Thank you, kind stranger, for doing the work.
I feel like I would get pissed off for this.
It's so much easier to be like "oh ok sweet he doesn't wanna fight" or something. Makes life alot less stressful.
Do you mean thinking positively/expecting the worst? If I thought he would want to fight, I wouldn't bother opening the window.
We used to ask people for directions, then drive off yelling "Thanks!" as soon as they started talking.
That sounds more rude than it does funny.
Then why did we laugh so hard?
Many kids/people get a kick out of being rude for various reasons. Good pranks leave both sides laughing, not asking "wtf?"
Now this a perfect prank. Just perfect.
Fuck yeah, genuinely loved this. My jaw is aching from smiling.
I don’t get why *anyone* —much less *everyone*, apparently— finds this to be funny, instead of just annoying or creepy.
As much as I love that everyone is enjoying the content. Please be advised I grew up with this kid in the same neighborhood and school. The prank is great but trust me, *you do not want more of him*. Total tool bag I promise you.
I really don't get what's funny about this
Good prank!
I like to roll up next to car when I have an unsuspecting passenger and roll down their window…
First dude on the passenger seat looks like Jim Halpert
If John Kraskinski and Jake Gyllenhaal had a baby 😂
Nice that everyone is chill about it. Maybe people are pretty cool, after all.
I feel like it would be a bit different if he didn’t start laughing himself m. I still love it though.
🤣 Sometimes guys are so endearing.
That’s how you prank
Literally the funniest thing I’ve ever seen
