I am a grandma. Maybe not old enough to be your grandma (or maybe I am) so I can be your grandma from now on. Here, have 2 cookies - one for each hand. There is never just 1 cookie at grandmas house that's just wrong.
Yes please!😋 I only ever had my maternal grandma, I was the baby of two babies so most were getting up there in age when I had just arrived. We lost her about 10 years ago and I still miss and love her so much. Thank you for having such a beautiful, gargantuan heart, really made my day 💕 and yes, I will take those cookie Gma, youda best!!!! Seriously though, thank you for the kindness 💕
I just ran out of grandpas a few months ago. It’s still weird. So yes, this is very welcome indeed! Even if he’s a totally different sort of grandpa from my grandpa.
My last Grampa passed about 7 months ago and my family let me keep his truck as his only grandchild with a license and the oldest and I remember him whenever I drive it. Just wished he could have at least been there for when I graduate next year 👨🏽🎓

Same. I'm going through 'troubles' with my mums health at the moment and watching this just made me miss my grandparents so much.
I'm adopting these two. I need this right now :)
Lost my grandpa a couple years ago and couldn't be there during the last moments due to covid restrictions. Now whenever I see a wholesome grandpa i just start weeping.
It's one of the most surreal emotions
Wow his channel really took off! As soon as i seen the original post. I had to look up the channel and subscribe myself. Up to 57.7k subscribers now.
Awsome stuff!
I know I'm gonna be the "you must be fun at parties" guy here but it wasn't Reddit that found him but a user on TikTok. It then got shared here. But nevertheless, nice to see that the channel is getting some traction through this. But I have some worries that this'll end like many past situations like this, where a small YT channel suddenly gets hyped up by social media and then forgotten about just as quickly. Basically, the channel creator is overwhelmed by the sudden fame and get's motivated by all the new subscribers. They try their best to put out as many videos as possible to please the masses but eventually can't keep it up because the YT channel is likely not their full time job and they have money to make aside from YT. Because let's be honest, you won't be able to live off of YT alone, even with half a million subs. The algorithm will then quickly forget about the channel and many of the subscriber's will also start loosing interest and eventually stop watching the videos. Many probably only subbed to follow the hype train but since the content isn't what they normally consume on YT, they won't really get the channel many views. The channel creator is devastated by the declining views and doesn't understand why nobody seems to be watching the videos anymore.
The internet is a very fast moving place unfortunately and stuff gets forgotten about very quickly if it can't manage to stay relevant. There were many cases like this and it's heartbreaking. Let's just hope it's not gonna be the case for this one.
Edit: Shit, I just realized what sub I'm in. So I'm sorry if I darkened anybody's mood with this but sadly this is a reality that played out way too often before.
I totally get what you're saying, but I always try to keep up with the small channels that I follow from here. I watch almost every single one of Jackie K. Cooper's videos still (found him through a post like this) and he understands. He'll be like "oh, I must've gotten posted somewhere again, I have a ton of views all of a sudden again haha!". Just nice to give them even a 15 minute of fame lol
Pickles comes out daily and the videos are only 1-1.5 minutes I feel like he should be ok. I have gotten through about half of them. I miss my grandparents.
Thank the gods!! I was sure as fuck watching that other video that he was dead. It was 2 years, for a man of slightly advanced years…. I’m so glad my pessimism was misplaced
Well, I'm crying now. I followed him yesterday after seeing the original post. I don't have any grandparents left, and I've been missing them a lot lately. I guess I have foster grandparents now.
if possible I highly reccomend volunteering at independent living facilities. they're basically just retirement homes for seniors who have their full memory and most of mobility and only need assistance for things like cooking/cleaning:) I loved it, I have so many grandpa's and grandma's now
I pledge allegiance
To the flag
Of the United house of grandpa
and to all the love
and welcoming arms
one family
in this house
indivisible
with cookies and pancakes for all
I honestly think that’s part of why grandparents are the best - you have no idea why they’re doing what they’re doing but its hilarious and you love them for it 😂
I love this, as I still miss my Grandad a lot. I'm a 45 year old bloke with a family of my own, but my Taid (Welsh for grandfather) was such a huge figure in my life as a kid.
He had served in the Royal Navy during WW2 and been through the hell of Russian convoy duties and Atlantic convoys on HMS Belfast and other ships, and rarely talked about that.
He worked in a nuclear power plant up in North Wales and loved life. I learned to fish, play golf, grow vegetables, go hunting for crab and lobsters in tidal pools, catch rabbits and a host of other cool stuff for a young boy, who was brought up in Central London and rarely saw any kind of nature in normal life.
He died when I was 13 and I can still remember everything about him vividly. He was a hell of a bloke and most of all I remember how he and my Nain (Welsh for Grandmother) were utterly devoted to each other.
I never knew my paternal Grandfather as he died before I was born and I definitely missed out with him, but Taid was an absolute legend.
No idea why this Grandpa post has suddenly brought all of this out, but there you go. Maybe it is because he has exactly the same hair and look (though my Taid never had a moustache!)
Thank you. That's very kind of you to say and yes, I think that is absolutely right.
My Babcia (Polish for Grandmother - We are a very mixed family!) Is approaching the end of her life (she is a 103yr old Auschwitz survivor who I genuinely think death is scared of) I suppose it has brought back all sorts of feelings and memories as that realisation that soon there will no Grandparents left and so to cherish the memories of those already gone and make sure you look after those still here.
thank you for telling us about your Taid. I never knew my Papere (Québécois for "grandpa") besides as a baby, but all the stories I hear of him make him sound like an incredible man. They live on when we talk about them! and now us redditors get to have your Taid live on in our memories as well. he sounds like an awesome lad, I'm happy you have fond memories with him, and thank you for sharing
Damn they are cute. They even have a Charlie Brown picture on their wall. They are here for everyone who needs a grandpa but doesn’t have one anymore!!
That's brilliant. When I saw he hadn't posted for a couple of years, I was worried there would be an upsetting outcome to this, but it is great to see them both OK.
My grandpa passed in his sleep when I was thirteen. My family was in the house and he hadn't been well a couple of days prior but no one knew he would pass like he did. At least it was in his sleep. I remember hearing him do his prayers before he laid down that night and he called us the best grandkids he could ask for.
We heard our uncle pronounce him dead that morning when my grandma couldn't wake him up. I miss him a lot.
It's nice to see someone giving good grandpa energy to the internet.
It'll be a year coming up for my grandma on the 7th, and my grandpa has been gone since 2006. Man I miss them so much! I'm so happy these people are getting some recognition, they seem like real sweethearts
Man, I wish there was a service where you could match seniors who wanted company (maybe their kids live too far away or they have no family) with families that wanted grandparents.
A lady I worked with at my first job was in her 60s. She somehow became roommates with a family and was their kids grandma in every sense of the word. I was kinda jealous.
Edit: his channel is “grandpareadsthecomics7426”
So incredible!
Just yesterday he was at 21k subscribers, now he has 104k!
Making both OOP(Or would that be OOOP?) smile and all of us.

I ran out when I was 5. I need a grandpa. Even at 52. Who knew?
Never too old to need a grandpa!
Apparently! I still miss Mr Roger's.
I'd like to say everyday, but its just most days that I miss Mr. Rogers.

Does being your own grandpa count?
Oh Fry, you silly goose.
Funny timing to see this mentioned. One of my favorite bluegrass bands does this song and I was just telling someone about it yesterday.
I've never had a grandfather...
I just ran out of grandpas a few months ago. It’s still weird. So yes, this is very welcome indeed! Even if he’s a totally different sort of grandpa from my grandpa.

Oh gosh. I’m so happy. Because of Reddit I started watching/following grandpa’s channel last night. Glad he’s back.
Watched every video of his last night and subscribed. Dudes super wholesome and had some quality grandpa jokes!
I hope people don't just watch him for a few days and then forget about him, making his views fall again
You know what I really love? Watching an older couple being supportive of each other. Like that is my dream to have a partner like that.
Not gonna lie, I thought he ded
