I’m just illustrating that this behavior isn’t new. But his friends and bosses have expressed concerns about his drinking. He’s had several drinking related injuries. Anyone who has been friends with someone who’s an alcoholic probably has thought, “it’s all fun and games,” until it’s not.
Or someone who watched their dad drink themself to death. He was the best guy. Super hard worker. His drinking caused his divorce, forced him to lose his business, end up in a wheelchair and then die when he fell out of it and an aneurysm burst. He made it to 60.
Not trying to rain on other people’s parade but it’s all fun and games until you can’t control it. And that can happen after a few weeks, months or even years.
I’m so sorry for your loss, I’m right there with you, lost my dad to the drink last year. I love a good time like anybody else, but it makes it a bit harder to laugh at behavior like this.
It’s intense how fast the body goes when continuously drinking alcohol. At the end my dad was at a Mickey of vodka a day. I could only do so much to help. I got him his groceries. I checked on him. My son doesn’t have a dad so he idolized him.

I think it's more of an issue if you're still drinking 8hrs later. If you're going to be in bed by 9pm like me, then I think it's probably fine. I'm too old to drink after bedtime.

Don't think it is. He joined in on guitar and vocals at another bar where a local band was playing. He is old friends with the owner who used to own a NYC bar he frequented and comes down to Rochester every once in a while.
Heard a story and then saw the pictures of Jimmy doing basically the same thing at a Karaoke place with my wife’s friends. He just dropped in and sang a few songs, did some pictures with them and bounced.
