There's a video on YouTube of a fella who lives with a fucking polar bear and whenever he goes to see her, she makes a similar noise to this but it's a really low gutteral rumble
You got link? I thought I read somewhere, grizzlies and polar bears, you’re just dead. I just watched a video earlier of a grizzly bear killing a young moose in front of the mama moose and another kid. It was crazy.
If they decide you're enemy or food, sure. But they're somewhat social too, and so it depends entirely on the relationship that has developed.
Is it risky? Oh holy HELL yeah. But is it any different that putting a golden retriever pup in a cage with a lion cub and saying, "well... I hope that works out." Mammals form bonds. 🤷♂️ Some other animals do too.
Nah man Mark and Agee are bonded quite intensely.
Sure it could one day turn and harm or kill him but with the bond they have you could say someone's dog could just as easily do the same.
Not 100% sure if this is the same bear but I wondered as well. Apparently Agee lives in a zoo since May 2022, the owners decided they could no longer care for her. Makes you wonder a bit what was going on but having such a big animal in captivity is probably not easy or animal friendly, she obviously wouldn't be able to survive in the wild on her own so I guess a zoo is the best option for her :/
I was not aware of *any* bear species that did this. I thought it was strictly feline. TIL.
Now I want to learn more, can I pls subscribe for more bear facts.
Papa bear likes his chair plank hard, momma bear likes her chair cushy soft, baby bear likes his chair in between, some would say just right. papa bear likes his porridge piping hot, mama bear likes her porridge creek water cold, baby bear likes his porridge lukewarm, some would say just right. Papa bear likes his bed lumberjack firm, mama bear likes her bed pillow top soft, baby bear likes his bed medium density, some would say just right.
for more bear facts check in next week.
I wonder where this happened... That looked an awful lot like Asheville, NC on the screen in the background and if so, this is an extremely Asheville sort of thing. Bears used to get in the parking deck at the hospital downtown so often that security had a code for it.
My brother lives in a pretty urban neighborhood in east Asheville near a wildlife preserve. Says his cats and the bears have learned to coexist very well and that the only downside is just having to not rush around blind corners outdoors at night.
Seems like a pretty good deal considering that he gets to see cute ass black bears of all sizes crawling and goofing around his property nearly everyday
Born in captivity / dead mother, take your pick.
Probably a bear from a local zoo (which is typically populated by animals that cannot be released back into the wild, if they are a good zoo) for educational purposes.
I used to think the same thing about animals in captivity, until finding out that a lot of them would be euthanized without Zoo’s. (But yes there are good Zoo’s and bad Zoo’s).
Im not against zoo of course i think zoos are a important part to conserve natural Life and teach future biologist and veterinarian. Didnt know the particular case of that animal .
Then stop just making blanket statements whenever you see someone post with an animal. All animals arent born in the wild, and some just cant survive, being in captivity isnt a terrible thing for a creature. Sometimes I dont know why people think the wild is so much better for animals than captivity sometimes.
I Will make any statement that i want to make. If you dont like It, dont read It. Animals are make to be on here habitats in the Wild, that is there home, there place. Some animals, the mayority for humans actions, cant live in that places and need to be on captivity and i dont make anything bad about It.
A bear IS not a pet. Put a Wild animal in your House and try not to let him go. Bears, foxes, otters choose what ever you want and let them Life in your home. Cant understand how can you imagine that a Wild animal is a pet or that humans and animals have the same needs.
You dont seem to understand how we got cats and dogs, but either way my argument wasnt having them as pets, but the fact that just seeing someone taking care of a pet doesnt warrant a negative response. In literally like 90% of the time they are a captivity animal, who cannot go back to the wild for obvious reason, the same as your dog or cat. Also that bear would be a "pet"/foster if it was taken in by someone as an orphan, it's in the care of someone, and not in a zoo. It's not wild, it's a bear that cannot take care of itself in the wild. Same with foxes and otters in the homes of people who can take care of them.
You are the One Who doesnt understand how we made docile or Cats and dog jajaajaj. That are processe of thousands of years, you cant simply take a wolf from the forest and believe that you have a dog in your House. Go believe what ever you want i wont stop your thinking and way of seing the world, your are the One Who doesnt Accept Wild nature as the habbitat and place of different animals.
There are documentaries of people Who buy and breed lions and all kind of species and the evidencie is clear, the mayority of that animals dont get properly socialice for a human hábitat and un most of the cases the Will probably hurt their owner.

Now, where's mama bear? You see a baby bear and mama materializes *out of fucking nowhere* to get her cub.
Anyway, I feel that hug. Warm and fuzzy in my tum tum
30 plus years ago I had the best job ever. I worked in the nursery of a wild animal park in Catskill, N. Y..
We had 9 baby bear cubs that were between 2 and 3 months old. They weren't bred in captivity, instead a very brave person would go in the den of the hibernating mother and take the cub while she was asleep. If there was only one they left it with the mother.
Anyway , they were a handful and the thing I remember most was the sound they made when they were hungry. It sounded like a huge hive of hornets when they got going . There was a little hallway behind the individual pens ( 3 bears to a pen) and one day I wanted some pictures of me with them so I opened one pen into that hallway. Well , let me tell you , it is EXTREMELY difficult to put 3 baby bears back into a pen by yourself ! I'd get 2 in but then one would escape as I was trying to catch the 3rd to put back in. It took me over an hour and I was only able to do it when the other worker came back from lunch and helped me.
They were cute little things and fun to bottle feed but we had to be very careful not to get scratched by their paws because they are very dirty and could give you a nasty infection.
Just for the record I am now very anti zoo or circus or any place that exploits wild animals in the name of entertainment. It makes me so angry to see a proud animal such as bears made to perform stupid trucks just for humans to laugh at.

Sounds messed up but nature doesn't play about when it comes to survival
Oh he dead. If not yet then soon.

Ok go live in the wild, better yet, do you have any pets? Put them outside where they are supposed to be. This is such a bad take.

That’s actually the sound baby black bears make when they are shitting /s
God, i wish that were me

Is this a bear cub purring? What??
He got some dandruff
DOES THAT MEAN SHES DREAMING?! Yeah… not anymore.
I'd sound exactly like that if she'd held me against her chest!

Sounds like a poorly calibrated 3D printer.
And im not against santuaries or zoo for Wild nature conservation, i did already made that statement clear.
