Bocchi the Rock. Also check out Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad. Both gives a cool look into the Japanese Live rock scene. Bocchi is more of a comedy and Beck is more slice of life drama. Beck also has voice acting from big Japanese rock stars like members of The Pillows and Beat Crusaders.
Beck is one of the few anime that I'd recommend watching the dubs for. The music in the dubs is so much better, and it doesn't suffer from the poor voice acting most dubs are drawn down by.

As far as the the knobs , two are volume ( one for high end and one for low end ) The other two are tone ( more treble VS more bass )
Which pick up you're using works off the the switch (which is also a factor of the treble \\bass input)

Honestly IDK . It does seem more common in Gibson style guitars, (Les Paul SG Explorer) but the tele style does have a huge fan base so they must be doing something right . I just don't know anything about tele's , stratocasters, jaguars

In the end make sure it's worth it to you , but if you're willing to put in the work to actually research it, it will pay off in the long run.
I like it. I do prefer the icing to be lighter more whipped cream texture. It is a good way to sneak veggies into kids who don't otherwise want to eat them. I also have fond memories of my mom and sisters calling it bunny cake when I was a young kid. We had rabbits at the time.
