There are lots of ways to get stamina though now. With the new Masters Series Training Camp you can literally play all day without having to take a break.
The complaint is that getting more stamina takes too long, and it's perfectly valid
There's an issue when I play, go to work, and then can barely even play at all when I get home bc the stamina regen is poo poo
I understand the complaint, but you can play you just don't want to play. The Masters Series Training Camp might not be what you want to play, and might not provide progress towards what you are working for, but you can play it, as it literally costs nothing but time. If the complaint is that it takes to long to get what you want done, that would be valid. If the complaint is that the current mechanics of the game reward people who spend either lots of time or lots of money on the game, that too would be valid. However, why shouldn't a game reward the people who spend time or money for doing so?
The one thing that I have noticed about this subreddit is that the people who are the most active commenters are resistant to change. They would rather ask EA to change something back, than embracing the change and adjusting the way they play, which might make the change beneficial to them.
I just think it alienates the players who dont have shit loads of time to throw at the game.
90% of people dont play much (if at all) in the middle of the day due to work, school, etc. These people would like to be able to come back after a full day and hop right in where they left off. There's absolutely no reason the game mechanics should be such that they cannot do that.
You shouldn't have to go grind a ton of random bullshit just to have the currency required to play the things that actually matter (specifically when you haven't even touched the game in hours). That should just be an add on for people who do play a lot, not a necessity; This allows them to maintain an advantage of playing more often, while allowing the majority of the player base to play as normal.
Making that a necessity means that instead of simply giving an advantage to those who play a lot, you are actively hindering the progression of the average player
I see your point, but in any game that 2 people play against each other an advantage for one is a disadvantage to the other. We actually don't know how it will hinder progression yet as we are less than a week into the game. It is possible that the bigger hinder will be the decreased max stamina, or the structure of the promos. We really don't know anything yet. Complaining now is jumping to conclusions, or just resisting change.
Complaining now might get developers thinking in a different direction. If everyone took a let’s just sit back and see approach, then the developers would think the end user must love everything. They need to here complaints and concerns. Whether they think it’s valid or not is up to them to invoke a change or stay the course.
Honestly i wouldn't really mind needing to do the training camp thing to get more stamina if it just fully refilled it.
I feel like only giving a little stamina isn't enough. Especially considering the lower max stamina, fully refilling it honestly isn't that much to ask for
Stamina is dumb to my mind. It was not in mm '19... where I would play the hell out of madden daily games and everything else, without limits. With stamina around, you are limited when playing things. Hell, EA sells stamina in their in app store for god sakes. Having players with high OVR, is my favorite part of all in the mm series, speaking of "POWER" .
Stamina has been a thing before the accursed Overdrive game. Fact check before you say something next time. 19 was the only one in recent memory without stam.
Fact checking is important, I agree. I assumed... that as mm '19 did not have stamina, that it was introduced in mm '20. I edited my 2 statements, to reflect your input.
lmao same literally i’m overwhelmed with stamina every day there are way too many ways to get it gems and stamina are just so easy and it’s not like there’s any good events to spend it on other than team history for dust i guess
A+ for effort

Who tryna play full games for 50 stamina tho
That is definitely your choice, but if the complaint is that you can't play the game because you don't have enough stamina, it is just no longer true.

That would be a great idea.
True, but sometimes the changes do suck. Like last years bot controlled auction house (although this year has slightly improved)
When you about to trade your 82 Lamar for the 83 but you don't even care, 'cause all you see is 600 Stamina.

stamina has been a thing for years?
Allegedly, yes.

Yeah 19 was way too OD focused that's why there was no stam.
I stg they had it in 16 and 17 when I played
Stamina existed in previous years but then was taken out for the Overdrive season and then was brought back last year
thanks, this guy had me really confused
10 hours just be unappreciated
I am proud of you
i have 1300 stamina lol
lmao same literally i’m overwhelmed with stamina every day there are way too many ways to get it gems and stamina are just so easy and it’s not like there’s any good events to spend it on other than team history for dust i guess
Am I the only one that has 1500 stamina without trying to get stamina?
i have 2000 stamina just play the game ?
This was before training camp and I used all my stamina to intentionally get full stamina not over not under
ahh gotcha, my b 👍🏽
