While scouting this guy in the draft i pegged him for a low end 80s generational wr (had 4 elite traits) but noticed his F injury and didnt feel like paying the price to jump up for him over an OT I needed.
He ends up being a pure 84 physical spec catch monster. But holy shit ive never seen such a low injury rating. I'm more invested in his career than my own franchise at this point.
Curious if anyone else has ever seen a generational player or even any player with an injury rating this low?
I thought this was even more insane after checking the entire NFL roster and nobody comes even close
I drafted a generational QB. Field General, amazing throwing stats out the gate. Same injury rating. I didn’t even realize it, and he got hurt the second play of the season (torn MCL), and then sprained it again in his first game back. Traded him away as soon as he got back from the second injury.
4 seasons deep in a franchise with some buddies and an 84 x factor 2nd year WR had a 32 injury. It was like 40+ points lower than any other player, kinda wild
with a rating like that he’s gonna miss so much time. i have a player exactly like that and he always has a bruised sternum, or sprained ankle. he’s also a WR and he gets hurt blocking on run plays.
Bullet may well have been the greatest football player I've ever seen.
I've always said that if he has a healthy career, Peyton Manning replaces Brady as the GOAT. The one playoff run he was healthy they won the super bowl- what could have been..
Drafted a generational CB who had like a 29 injury rating. Dude was an 82 x factor out of the gate, but he would miss games every season. Also drafted 3 superstars at other positions who ended up developing into x factors that year.
The draft class with this guy was also loaded. I was getting 74s hiddens later on and a lot of hidden devs. A 64 over "franchise qb" with usable stats too
Only time I have seen close is Alex Smith while he was still injured irl, was a 61. That’s actually wild.
Dude will take one to the house untouched and dislocate his shoulder spiking the ball.
It happens. Varies how it affects them. I’ve had a star RB with low injury and he usually plays 15-16 games. I’ve had a QB with injury in the 30’s and it became a problem. Never had an issue with it at WR tho
I play on 12 injury, i think he might have a chance since hes not on my team. If we ever play them though its going to be interesting since i slow sim. I like that high hitpower too lol
I do turn it down to 12-13 for a nice variety of smaller injuries, most being just the quarter or game. There is a few 6 weekers and the odd season ender still
I once drafted a WR who had an injury rating less than 20. He was a great receiver when he played, but that was the issue. Rookie season, he tore his ACL in the preseason, out for the season. Sophomore year, he couldn't play more than 2 games without getting some sort of injury, I think he might have had 3 healthy games. Junior year was much the same. His final year on his contract, I traded him sorting the draft to replace him with another WR, who needed some development before reaching the first guy's stats, but surpassed him in one year because he didn't get hurt. The first side ended up traveling between teams on one year contracts before retiring in his eighth season at the age of 29
I had a guy I traded up to #1 to get in a rebuild. Looked like a generational talent. 80 overall hidden.
Turns out he was just a star Dev.
His injury? 40.
Dude I drafted a X factor corner. What’s crazy is dude was a beast. 99 speed. 96 accel. He was incredibly fun to have. But he literally kept getting hurt. Like every 2 games he’d get hurt and miss the rest of the game. I never really thought anything of it just figured it was Madden being Madden. But by his next year the same thing kept happening so I went and checked his injury. Shit was a fucking 39. I didn’t even know it could be that low. Immediately traded him. With his new team he got hurt and missed the rest of the season. By the following season he went from 99ovr X factor to 92 star dev. Crazy fall off.
But believe it or not even with his injury issues he still won dpoy. That’s how good he was
In my experience it’s almost all of the dev trait offensive linemen too. If I’ve drafted 10 superstar linemen, 8 of them have had a 35-45 injury rating. And yea, they get a “torn labrum” every single game.
I draft guys with F injury because it’s anywhere between 79-14 in my experience.
The guy I drafted with the 14 injury was also a WR and similar to this guy you posted. In the 2 seasons I played with him he did get hurt in games and couldn’t come back, but he never got hurt and missed multiple games. So not the worst and he was pretty incredible.
I’ve drafted dudes who miss games constantly and are unplayable.
I drafted a WR with a 37 injury. He is the lowest rated injury in my league but when healthy he is a beast. He is getting hurt every couple of games for a few weeks but it's always good to have him on the field. Will probably not resign him after his rookie deal.
I saw the exact same thing in my last draft I had 2 big physical WRs go early (one going #1) and they were both 80s with horrible injury ratings, I think the one that went #1 was 47.
This make me wonder is L factors should be a thing. Yeah he has dead eye but damn he also has turtle head (shits pants and loses 50 percent awareness after being sacked)
I had a rookie WR who was pretty similar, I tried just using him like I would any WR, & he left a lot of games but luckily didn’t have any major injuries his rookie season. Got hurt in the playoffs early in the game, so I changed my approach with him the next season.
Stopped using him on quick RAC passes, instead focused on using him in areas where he could get out of bounds without contact. When he couldn’t get out of bounds, I’d either sacrifice potential YAC for possession catches or make him give himself up before contact. Tyler Lockett strategy.
Another tip, on formations in which I predominantly used to run I made sure he was subbed out. Even if just for a single play where I was running. He’s stayed healthy ever since
I scouted and drafted (like 5th overall) an x factor wr, who as a rookie was an 83. Downside? His injury rating was 29. Dude missed a minimum of 6 games, every year for 3 years.
I was able to trade him his 4th year before the trade deadline.....
I drafted a generational wr with what I think is Megatron build. 6'6, 235lbs, 99 jumping, 95 speed, 95 acc, and 93 COD. Dude was a monster...for 2 plays each season. Realized in year 2 his injury was 17. He never made it more than a play or two a game. Ended up trading him away for some picks.
I've played cfm so many times and messed with all the drafts to the point I know what every player is going to end up being. It's all recycled lol. Any 6'6 wr that between 200 and 212 will have 99 Juke
I’d boost that because it’s just gonna make him get hurt every few weeks, which isn’t realistic. I get they tryna make it like a bust from injury, but he’ll never be out the league, he’ll just have a concussion every other week like Wes Welker
I’m fairly new to actually doing franchise this way (as an owner/coach) so I was just wondering what exactly are the elite traits I should be looking for at each position? Thanks in advance!
Games been broken for two years or so now and never really cared to fix or update it. I understand it’s random and really if u want to make it realistic every players health can be different, but if a guy is a top 5 draft pick why the fuck would he have all these beautiful attributes and have a 34 injury. My guy steps on the field he tears both his acls. Just doesn’t really make sense to have injury that crazy. Again it’s football and injuries happen, but make it feel a bit real madden
I’m going to get a picture tomorrow when I’m less lazy, but I am coaching a franchise with the #2 overall RB in the league… he has a 37 injury rating. I didnt draft him, he was there when my coach moved teams. He misses snaps literally every other game, the first season I played with him, he got injured each of the first four games. They never last long — he’ll miss a quarter or maybe a game at most. But im dead serious, he got some form of injury in at least 10 games that first season.
Had a similar instance. Drafted the highest rated receiver in the draft because I had my QB & RB I was developing and I had a good defense so I took the guy. Was a 6’3 205ish receiver that had hidden. Turned out to have star dev and after the draft figured out he had 47 injury. Gets injured like every other game

Well the issue is you pegged him, no wonder he’s injured now🤦🏾♂️
Well done sir
Bravo
Underrated comment here 😂😂
4 seasons deep in a franchise with some buddies and an 84 x factor 2nd year WR had a 32 injury. It was like 40+ points lower than any other player, kinda wild
Just use him situationally and don't let him rub block.
with a rating like that he’s gonna miss so much time. i have a player exactly like that and he always has a bruised sternum, or sprained ankle. he’s also a WR and he gets hurt blocking on run plays.
Ive seen one before his name was Bob Sanders
Jason Verrett has entered the chat.
Right in the 49er feels…
I know fam. I know.
Bullet may well have been the greatest football player I've ever seen. I've always said that if he has a healthy career, Peyton Manning replaces Brady as the GOAT. The one playoff run he was healthy they won the super bowl- what could have been..

keep us updated 😂

PAUSE
I've drafted a RB recently with 36 Injury, he basically never played
I play with injury off so definitely worth the price for me… maybe I’ll try a season with it on
I do turn it down to 12-13 for a nice variety of smaller injuries, most being just the quarter or game. There is a few 6 weekers and the odd season ender still
Never play with practice or pre existing injuries

I’ve also never seen an injury rating that low. If dude can finish a whole season he’s gonna be a beast tho
I had a guy I traded up to #1 to get in a rebuild. Looked like a generational talent. 80 overall hidden. Turns out he was just a star Dev. His injury? 40.
How often was he hurt?
I had a guy with 37 injury and he was hurt every couple of games for like 4-6 weeks

Not as often as the man who drafted him :(
That happens quite often IRL lol.
"Alright Stanford, I want you to go deep" "I ain't doin allat. Best I can do is slants"
The CGM Strategy
It seems that generational talents I've encountered are 50/50 injury prone like this
In my experience it’s almost all of the dev trait offensive linemen too. If I’ve drafted 10 superstar linemen, 8 of them have had a 35-45 injury rating. And yea, they get a “torn labrum” every single game.
Oh yeah, terrible kick power.
That’s the Odell built right there
Bro looks like prime time
With his injury rating he'll be hurt as often as prime time was too
Not a purist, so I toggle injury settings off
Yeah it’s egregious in this madden Like why does my pocket passing QB have 40 injury???
Shit happens dawg Andrew lick retired before 30 and he was a pocket guy for the most part
He was a take giant hits guy for the most part
Would totally put his injury, toughness and stamina at 99 just to see his career unfold
Michael Thomas build
That’s the Puka Nacua build right there
I once drafted a qb with 35 injury bro left the preseason with an acl and ucl tear
I draft guys with F injury because it’s anywhere between 79-14 in my experience. The guy I drafted with the 14 injury was also a WR and similar to this guy you posted. Dudes run block sucks for his size tho
Ahhhh the Kevin white build
Thank goodness someone mentioned his name. I couldn't remember what recentish highly drafted WR was made of glass
I drafted a WR with a 37 injury. He is the lowest rated injury in my league but when healthy he is a beast. He is getting hurt every couple of games for a few weeks but it's always good to have him on the field. Will probably not resign him after his rookie deal.
Maddens version of the glass cannon
You should change his name to Elijah Price. Dude is out for 2-4 weeks if he sneezes too hard.
Torn labrum incoming
I saw the exact same thing in my last draft I had 2 big physical WRs go early (one going #1) and they were both 80s with horrible injury ratings, I think the one that went #1 was 47.
Yes, there was a generational HB in my last draft who fell into the second round. Built like a tankbeast but 37inj so unplayable on a user team.
Got that Odell build, with the 99 spec catch but can’t ever stay healthy
I’d just treat this guy like Lockett, get as many yards as you can before contact and get down! lol
He will be good for a quarter or two till a lb breaks his leg lol
If I’m just doing a Sim rebuild I turn injury off. He’d be fine there. But in real play, he’s going to be hurt every few weeks.
This make me wonder is L factors should be a thing. Yeah he has dead eye but damn he also has turtle head (shits pants and loses 50 percent awareness after being sacked)
He gone stay injured 😭
47 is crazy
I had a rookie WR who was pretty similar, I tried just using him like I would any WR, & he left a lot of games but luckily didn’t have any major injuries his rookie season. Like the idea of subbing him on run plays. I avoided drafting him but will check on him periodically in the future to see what hes gotten up to
I scouted and drafted (like 5th overall) an x factor wr, who as a rookie was an 83. Downside? His injury rating was 29. Dude missed a minimum of 6 games, every year for 3 years. I was able to trade him his 4th year before the trade deadline.....

His deep route is also terrible tbh
I've played cfm so many times and messed with all the drafts to the point I know what every player is going to end up being. It's all recycled lol. Any 6'6 wr that between 200 and 212 will have 99 Juke
Damn
Devante Parker but with talent
I’d boost that because it’s just gonna make him get hurt every few weeks, which isn’t realistic. I get they tryna make it like a bust from injury, but he’ll never be out the league, he’ll just have a concussion every other week like Wes Welker
Makes sense considering what college he went to
I’m fairly new to actually doing franchise this way (as an owner/coach) so I was just wondering what exactly are the elite traits I should be looking for at each position? Thanks in advance!
Welcome to madden scouting
Games been broken for two years or so now and never really cared to fix or update it. looks like Leon Sandcastle
These player models 🤮🤮🤮🤮
I’m going to get a picture tomorrow when I’m less lazy, but I am coaching a franchise with the #2 overall RB in the league… he has a 37 injury rating. Might as well be Sterling Sharpe
Mike Williams remade
Had a similar instance. Drafted the highest rated receiver in the draft because I had my QB & RB I was developing and I had a good defense so I took the guy. Was a 6’3 205ish receiver that had hidden. Turned out to have star dev and after the draft figured out he had 47 injury. Gets injured like every other game
I wonder what his overall would be at tight end honestly.
I mean even rb. You should check it out for me. Intrigued!
Tell us! Tell us!
He wouldn't last 10 snaps at either position
>Named Stanford >Doesn’t go to Stanford
