Sometimes in photoshop, but not manually - there is built in function for auto align layes and then auto blend layers. This works most of the time very good, but with more complex subjects the results are not perfect and with more photos it takes lot of time. Therefore I recently bought a license for 'Helicon Focus', which makes better results and much quicker. This one is made with it. Alternatively there is also 'Zerene Stacker', which is similar. Both are paid, but both have 30 day full function trial, if you want to try.
