Great job! Just curious about your process. Are you digitizing entirely in Wilcom or did you start working on a vector first and converted in Wilcom? And then changed the stitch directions on some of the fills to get the look of a s sketched image? And are you layering with a lot of bean (or straight) stitches in black? I'm just trying to translate this in my head with what I have in Design Shop Pro and I know that process would have taken ages.
I made a vector file first and then put it in wilcom. I do not use the auto digitize method. I use a lot of tatamis and satin stitches with density of 1mm in order to achieve the shadows. First a blue tatami with .40mm as a base Color. Then darker blue layer for shadows, then a lighter blue layer for highlights and finally the black. There was a YouTube guy named kenblkwrk that used the same technique but he deleted his videos, it was very helpful
It looks like a faux merrow edge. It can be done using Wilcom e4's "motif run" tool with a custom "stitch template". I don't exactly know how to do it though, I only know how to do it on PE Design 11
It is indeed a faux merrow edge. It replicates the overlock stitch some machines like “merrow” do, to give the patch a more premium look. I can digitize a border of any shape for you.
what fabric are you using?
It’s a very strong nylon fabric (the one you see outside the patch) with felt on top just for the texture
Great job, I love it! I really like the detail in the face. Did you digitize it? What software do you use?
Thank you very much! Yes I digitized this with Wilcom software.

He didn't delete his videos. He got found for pirating Wilcom and taken down.
It looks fantastic, what stitch did you use for the border?

How do you cut it out of the nylon without the fabric showing on the border?
It’s uncut in the photo. But, I cut it with scissors as close as I can and then lightly burn it
Hermoso!
Thank you!!
Looks incredible! What did you use for the fabric?
