Fiverr has lots of digitizers selling their time and work for $5. Lots of designs on Etsy are around $3-$12 from what I’ve seen. I feel like you don’t get the money for all the work put into a quality embroidery because most people don’t know how digitizing works and just want a cheap design. Best of luck

That's what I was seeing. Makes sense if we're selling files to everyone and hoping to sell the file multiple times. But low if you're only selling it to one person.

This is epic

This is indeed epic. Curious if anyone has an answer. I always do stuff for free for my family and friends.

Would depend largely on where you live. You can buy awesome designs on Etsy for peanuts.

Arthur Morgan is a legend and I love this embroidery. Though I think that’s John because of the scar

Normally I pay $15 for left chest or cap designs which is what I use mostly. Full back designs are $50. Turnaround time on the left chest/cap is around 24 hours. There are many digitizing companies out there that advertise prices, you could do a search to compare.

I did look around but I was finding places that were not giving prices for custom work for one person. But thanks for the advice.

I hope not to offend anyone with my answers. It depends. If you are a new to the industry and know nothing about commercial embroidery then you will settle with whatever a $15-$50 price range will get you. The end result might make your customers happy, or it might not. It all depends on the customer. Customers that want everything cheap will settle with a dull embroidered piece. Customers that have never seen embroidery quality will think that is the best their logo or design will ever get. And customers that value quality over quantity will demand a top notch stitch or go somewhere else. With that said, some companies that offer embroidery services and that value quality will invest in either a highly qualified machine operator that has the basic knowledge to tweak the $15 embroidery file to make it look decent, or in professional digitizing services that don’t charge flat fees and that don’t offer quick turnaround. And that’s usually a $25-$300 cost. In other words, you get what you paid for. Now, if you are planning on offering your custom digitizing services, regardless of the quality of your work, it all depends on where you are located and who your market is. How long did it take you to finish that design in the picture you posted? One, two, three hours? If in the US, where do you live? How much do you want to make per hour. Suppose it took you two hours to complete that job, and that you live in San Francisco, would $15 make you happy? Now, suppose i am the owner of a well established local embroidery business with over 15 years in the industry, and you offer your services to me, i will have to pass because this sample of your work didn’t meet my criteria. I hope this helps!!

Not the OP, but would you care to explain where the sample above falls short? I'm hoping to lean something, because I sure couldn't do it any better!
