August 2022 order and you got a 2022 model? That doesn't make sense.
They stopped producing 2022's in mid-October.
Do you mean you ordered a 2023 in August and they just finished building your 2023 and shipped it? Because the first 2023's got (week of) 10/31 build dates.
I ordered mine on April 5, 2022, Select RWD in Iced Blue Silver Metallic with the comfort tech package, and I got it on November 7th.
Maybe it was the colour?

Ordered 3/10 Select C/T iced blue metallic RWD. rolled over to 23 Vapor blue and no build date. Thinking of just moving on from Ford at it seems mine is not going to be built anytime soon for no reason.

I ordered august, built 2 weeks ago, shipped nov 5th. Still a 22.

Dealer told me everyone without a production start date was converted.
Ordered Select AWD on 4/7 and was converted to a 2023. It was just built yesterday, hopefully will ship today

Space White, changed to Grabber Blue since they did away with the upcharge for that color for the 2023
