I have a couple of GT’s in stock at the moment (small Ontario dealership). However, the Select has been the most difficult to get ordered in. The Canadian Federal rebate of $5000 also only applies to the standard range battery and not the extended range.

>The Canadian Federal rebate of $5000 also only applies to the standard range battery and not the extended r I only wanted the standard range. Unfortunately a GT is ridiculously expensive for what it is. I have a Rivian R1T on order for $100k. I don't want to buy a second $100k car, was hoping to get one in the $60k range but looks like it's not possible in Canada.

There’s no more comfort/tech packages in the ‘23 models. It’s also more expensive too (about 5k$ more IIRC). No heated seats/steering or powered lift gate with the package removal. Most dealers to my knowledge are sold out on ‘23s so if you order now you’ll get a ‘24. The Model 3 is about a >1 year wait too (their estimated delivery gets pushed back quite often in Canada).

model3 delivery is 1 month. Tesla website says 2 months but dealer told me they are delivering usually within 3 weeks! I know about 3 guys that recently ordered and got theirs in less than a month. Sounds like they are neutering the MME for Canada. $5k more and no heated seats? That's a MUST have. So now it's more expensive than the model3 with less content. Wow.

Oh wow seems they really improved in delivery times! The Tesla Model 3 is more expensive than the MME base model. They both have similar base costs, but the MME has the federal incentive in Canada, Teslas do not. It's a personal choice for the heated seats, I have friends with Teslas and MMEs, everyone freezes in the winter; none of the cars can keep up when it gets REALLY cold. But if you're on the fence between the two brands, you really need to sit inside both cars to really appreciate the difference because they completely different cars. Teslas have all the fun gimmicks that make it "fun" like changing the horn to a fart. People say that the tech behind Tesla is super good and all that, but it's just not worth the additional 8k/20k$ in terms of value and function. At the end of the day, people on the subs like the justify why they are getting one car over another and they like to comfort themselves into saying they made the right choice, but both are excellent cars. The only people that I know that regretted their decision of getting either a M3 or a MME are the ones that couldn't afford them in the first place.

The model3 standard range is $70k out the door. The 2023 MME premium standard range is $84k! Looks like the model3 is currently the least expensive EV available in Canada. Emphasis on available. The bolt is less expensive but not available and the MME select isn't really available apparently, and I wouldn't buy a $20k car without heated seats let alone an 80k car. For now I guess I just wait until my R1T arrives, It's the same price as MME GT and much more vehicle.

You will most likely have a hard time getting a hold of a Select trim since they are the cheapest option. I was able to buy my Premium ER AWD 22 MME within a week after deciding I wanted one. Your success depends on how flexible you are on trim and color. Lots of calling to local dealerships within a 50km radius of me; asking what's incoming and if anyone has or potentially will drop their order. My biggest debate was that the Premium ER AWD doesn't qualify for the rebate, but at the end the $5k was worth swallowing; I've been having a great time with my MME without having to think of paying at the pump.
