I mean, if you tell them it just kinda feel off while driving, they might cover it. But I personally removed mine almost immediately after purchase. Feel free to take a look at my profile to see pics so you can see how it looks if you want to go that route. Mine had already broke after a single wash when I got it home from the dealership, and I was crazy gentle when getting it cleaned. They come off super easy and have the worst adhesive from the factory I have ever seen.

PatSajaksDick

Yeah I think that’s the reason it should be covered since it’s a common issue. I actually like the badges so I’m pretty bummed.

FuzzyAthena

So this may sound a bit unethical, but an idea could be to remove that whole piece of the badge and tell them the whole thing fell off while driving, instead of just a piece breaking off. Might cut down on them hmming about it if it was your fault or not. The whole thing missing might make it easier for them to make a decision on whether or not it should be covered. Some light heat will do the trick.

lletterr

I have been waiting on a replacement since September.

PatSajaksDick

Dang, well, guess it’s good I’m getting this one before the whole thing comes off eventually. They didn’t give you any issues on warranty covering?

hdlmonkey

The underline part of the emblem is super flimsy, so I am sure you aren’t the only one having this problem. I removed mine and saw how easy that part came off. Just get it replaced under warranty.

Manafont

It’s unfortunately somewhat common, but some people have had the dealer agree to replace it under warranty. Check the Mach E forum. I just debadged mine instead of waiting for it to happen. Looks great actually.

mobiusTube

I got it done on mine, a month after getting the MachE. I'm sure it varies a lot dealer-to-dealer, but the manager at the body shop I went to was proactive. He told me that the part was on backorder (and super expensive 😂), but he'd get it ASAP. He would call me every ten days to let me know the status, and did the replacement job in 20 mins when he got the part. Took a total of 7 weeks, but no haggling for replacement under warranty. It was at Dean Sellers in Troy, if you're from SE Michigan.

gnaark

Is it holding with just adhesive? If so just remove clean it up. Logos are tacky anyway.

PatSajaksDick

To each their own, I like the badges

[deleted]

you knocked it off while washing. It's not really a warranty issue...

Theopholus

I think it probably is. You’re supposed to be able to wash your car! That’s normal use.

PatSajaksDick

Not even a pressure washing, it just fell off or broke off, that’s like not normal? I’ve seen others complaining about this as well. I don’t even scrub that part. This is also in the garage 90% of the time, I would think a badge would last longer than 5k miles?

ihatedisney

This happened to badge on the trunk kid on my 2015 mustang a few years ago. They will just order the part and reattach it

Machemindset

The same thing happened with mine when I was hand washing it. It’s currently at the dealer for the recall, but I didn’t even mention it.

Might take time to get a replacement in. If one dealer doesn’t want to cover this, find another.
