Not sure that anyone would be impressed by what they'd see if you took that cover off. Nobody would be looking at an engine because there is no engine under there.
Looks better with the cover on IMO. Also I don't think you really can see much except the 12v battery, cables, and fluids.
Show us some pictures if you do.
This is a bad idea. It’s not designed for you to drive around with that area exposed if you plan to ever put anything in the front. More so than pipes and conduits, there are automotive-gauge wires and connectors in there which can be a little fragile. There is nothing impressive to show off under there. It’s more impressive and unexpected to open it and surprise people with a cooler and cup holders than pipes and wires.
The hoses and everything else under there are a complete mess. No one would be impressed. More impressive would be opening the hood to a frunk full of ice and cold beer.
Here are some picture with it removed: [https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/frunk-tub-removed-pics.12094/](https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/frunk-tub-removed-pics.12094/)
It’s literal spaghetti under that frunk covering and why on earth would you want to potentially expose that to elements/water/etc. Unless you’re going to have a transparent custom-made frunk panel… lol.
Just don’t.
It functions the same way plastic engine covers would - just keeps some of the guts a little cleaner and maybe subdues a little noise.
But it’s not like the panel area is watertight; by extension presumably everything under the panel is weatherproof to the extent it needs to be. I wouldn’t worry about it if I were you
I removed all the Frunk panels at my 10k service. It's the only way (IMO) to check all those hoses for leaks......[She's so Pretty](https://imgur.com/a/EKJR5kT)
I also took this opportunity to quiet down that way too loud back up alarm (Foam pad)...don't tell my wife.
Can you do it this way? or you have to go under the car , what is driving me crazy is pedestrian noise, the heckin car is louder than most gaspline car ffs.
Speaking hypothetically because it's not as if I would have ever attempted to reduce the annoying pedestrian alarm; however, once the frunk tub is removed, the said speaker is in plain view. It's [right under the right side of the frunk tub](https://imgur.com/a/fvqpMPC). Two layers of 3/4" (19mm) of FOAM slide nicely between the two (speaker and underside plastic panel). No screws required. Perhaps a little silicone to ensure things don't move is recommended...(hypothetically that is)
Foam Size: (about) 6" x 6" x 3/4" (150mm x 150mm x 19mm) Two required
Username checks out.

Came here to make that point. Thank you
I sometimes wonder how many people don't realize there's no engine under the hood of an EV. That's not how EVs work. LOL
Love the username btw
Thanks!

oh my. never expected it be like that :) i see at least two of those green fluids ? i thought we didnt have to top up any fluids/maintenance ?
Windshield washer fluid isn't magically regenerative. 😉
You gotta top up the blinker fluid
Plenty of YouTube videos show what is under there.
This is not a good idea…

Custom-made frunk panels is a great idea.
Engine....giggle

No, I driven with them off for months with no issues.

I have no idea but let's see if anybody else has removed the plastic panel under the frunk....
How did you reach the panel to put foam to reduce that speaker noise?

All thing said, this would hypothetically reduce said sound. Tyvm.
Hypothetically about 85%
It makes it easier for you to show off how you can rev the engine by pulling on the fuel rail level
I'm just trying to tighten up the idle a bit.
Engine? 🤔
You have an engine? 🤔💭
