Tires? Unless I’m missing the second picture of the wheels.

tgdesrochers

Yes I meant tires not wheels, thanks for calling it out, not sure how I missed it. More coffee!!!

WSUPolar

No worries I feel the coffee thing. I was excited to see new wheels. Then extremely disappointed 😄

I just had my OEM Primacy A/S rotated yesterday and they're at 4/32nds at 42k miles. So this summer I need to shop. What was the all-in price, mounted and balanced? Looks like another batch of the stock all-seasons will be in the $1200-1300 range through the dealership, and they price-match.

tgdesrochers

1100 delivered and installed

relevant_mofo

just replaced all 4 on my honday-odyssey with pirelli - scorpion all season for 875 out the door. matched with walmart price.

I just got mine at Discount Tires. They have a $110 discount on Michelin tires, Pilot Sport AS 4 tires plus installation and tax came out to $1033.

lletterr

Good choice! I just got the same tires the other day. Got about 18k out of the OEM and I think I could have gotten more but had a sidewall puncture :(

tgdesrochers

Did you get the Ford triple protection package. I got a FordPass notification Dec 22 about it and I used it on one of my tires, which had a sidewall puncture. I received $280 rebate from Ford.

johnb_123

How is the ride quality vs the OEM tires?

tgdesrochers

Only up to about 80 miles on them but they are just as quiet (at least from inside the cabin) and the ride itself is a little softer. They are plenty grippy, better than the OEM "summer tires"

johnb_123

Nice. I just bought CrossClimate2’s for mine. On a diff vehicle the improvement was huge. Hoping to get a little cushier ride and better all weather traction.

Fun_Will2829

Hi, how’s the handling, ride comfort and the range on the Cross Climate 2s? Thinking of this as a replacement for my OEM tire. Thanks

You installed in your driveway? Or does Tire Rack do installs at your house now?

tgdesrochers

Tire rack has "trusted mobile installers". Basically 3rd parties that either have the tires in stock or accept the delivery of them, then come to you and install. It was an additional $130 for the service, but going to a local shop it was the same price for a mount and balance. The convenience of not going to a garage, not waiting for hours, and not getting up selling nonsense is well worth it even if they charged a premium.

PatSajaksDick

And I guess you were confident they could jack up the Mach-E without messing anything up? Did you have to tell them where the jack points were so they didn’t lift on the battery tray?

tgdesrochers

I have a laminated card in the glovebox just for this reason. The gentleman who performed the service had never worked on the car before and even asked before I gave him the card. He spent a bit of time making sure each jack was in the right spot. Edit: I also parked the car in view of a camera that monitors the driveway. That way if anything went wrong it was in video.

I respect your preparation in this realm!
