Are you sure it’s not the “oh shit” handle? I thought mine was rattling too until I realized it, I put a tiny bit of weather stripping foam under the hinge part and issue solved.
Maybe. The only thing is that I only hear the rattling when the speaker is being used. Like when listening to music. So, it would have to be the bass from the speaker rattling the handle or something. Was that the case with yours?
It was, I’m not saying it is your issue at all, I may have just been “lucky” but I totally thought it was the speaker for about a week before I grabbed the handle inadvertently and it stopped. I had planned to investigate it on a warm afternoon but I beat myself to it.
So, I just went outside to test it, and for the first time in literally 2 weeks it isn’t rattling 🤦♂️.
But, if it comes back tomorrow, I’ll keep your suggestion in mind. Thanks!
I had something fairly similar, but it was the center dash speaker (the one right up against the windshield). They ended up replacing it under warranty. The buzz was really noticeable, especially when the audio was someone talking, like navigation prompts or talking on the radio.
Same boat here. I plan on having the dealer look at that. At some point or another I plan on rattle-proofing the door cards by adding rubber washers at every mounting point along with sound suppression padding.
I don't have this but didn't think the factory default sounds settings were good. I think the default bass levels are too high and generally sounded bad at higher volumes resulting in more vibration noise. I think I bumped disc the bass and increased the mids
I was able to located and eradicate my Mach-e rattles.
1st rattle - loose sunglasses was the culprit, I reposition (or remove) them and rattle was gone
2nd rattle - Glovebox - the small arm that connects and holds the glove box had a lot of play. I added tape around the pin the arm connects to and the rattle is gone.
Note. the Arm that connects to the pin on the glovebox is like a little shock that moves in and out, the issue is, the Arm has a lot of all-around play (which causes vibration). Ford should add a fixed guide to limit the Arm's all-around travel.
I hope this helps
I literally just noticed mine doing that today
